Cheaped out on fabric

I hate the current version of this place. They used to be amazing but during their restructuring they swapped to cheap fabric for their cloudknit line. I tried to make it work but it's unwearable - absolute garbage in terms of durability and feel. It's like some thin poly that hangs to every part of your body. The heavier weight of the old version of cloudknit made it work. I'm done with this store. A Los Angeles Apparel (same owner of old American Apparel) just opened up a few blocks away so thank god I have a place to buy reliable sportsware (particularly shirts) consistently. If you go back to your old fabric, let me know. Otherwise nice knowing you and thanks for several years of good clothing.

Great running shorts

Great running shorts. Light material, doesn’t stick upon sweating. I wear it for runs and the beach. Only small complaint is the pocket is a bit shallow for a large phone.

Good brand, would buy another color.

Do NOT order from this company

Do NOT order from this company. Clothes are toxic and absolutely do not wick. I ordered items that were not returnable, and OV refused to take them back, even though they were never worn and still had tags. No offer, no apologies. The sizes are ALL OVER THE PLACE! Fit is horrible. Save your money. Go to Target, and stay far away from these China-made, toxic, ill-fitting, and very unflattering exercise clothes—cheaply made, too.

CloudKnit material no longer exists

They got people to love their “cloudknit” material and still sell products with that naming convention, except they cheaped out and the products are now grossly inferior and more expensive, again still labeled as the original product. I loved this brand and now I’ll never waste another dollar there. My original CloudKnit sweatpants lasted roughly 5 years, the ones I bought two weeks ago won’t last two months…

Outside Voices Exercise dress

**2/5 Stars - Major Design Flaw Makes This Unwearable for Its Intended Purpose**

I purchased the Outdoor Voices Energy Dress based on their marketing as "engineered for movement" in "breathable performance material." Unfortunately, this dress has a critical flaw that makes it unsuitable for any actual athletic activity.

**The Problem:** The LightSpeed fabric becomes completely see-through when you sweat. I wore this dress to play tennis and was mortified when it became sheer from perspiration. This is particularly problematic for a dress specifically marketed for exercise and movement.

**The Fabric:** While the A-line silhouette and built-in shorts are nice design elements, the fabric fails at its most basic function. A "performance material" should perform during exercise, not become transparent when doing exactly what it's designed for.

**Customer Service Experience:** When I contacted Outdoor Voices about this issue, they acknowledged my feedback but refused to accept a return, citing their policy against returns for "worn" items. This seems unreasonable given that the problem only becomes apparent when the dress is used as intended. The representative suggested I "find a good home" for the dress rather than addressing the fundamental design flaw.

**Bottom Line:** Save your money. A dress marketed for exercise that becomes see-through when you exercise defeats its entire purpose. The company's unwillingness to stand behind their product when it fails to perform as advertised is equally disappointing.

**Would not recommend for:** Tennis, running, or any activity involving perspiration
**Might work for:** Casual wear only, in air-conditioned environments

This is a company no longer prioritizes the customer…

This is a company I fell in love with while I was in school in Boston. It was new and thinking outside of the box. It also had wonderful customer service. I am sad to say I will not support them moving forward. I reached out to them regarding an order I placed with in ten mins of placing the order and they never responded. I reached out 24 hours later. Still no response. Unfortunate that these once great and stand apart companies have fallen into the same corporate BS as everyone else. Go find a new independent sports related gear company and support them. Outdoor voices is no longer concerned with customer service, regardless of their reply. It’s obvious in their thread here!

Scammed!

We purchased two pairs of Wilson tennis shoes which cost $160. Everything seemed to be going well and the package was sent. It arrived today and to our surprise it was a pair of fake gucci sunglasses. Looks like we were scammed. Do not buy anything from them, unless you want to lose your money.

Worst customer service ever

Worst customer service ever. I suspect they’re using some sort of AI reply. No resolution, no solution, so I gave up and returned $100 worth of items. Now they’ve lost the return. Had to go to my credit card and start a claim. And I still haven’t heard from an actual human. Just auto responses. All because they have a quality control issue. Sizes are very inconsistent. If their products fit, they’re very comfortable. But don’t order online!

poor customer service

trying to contact their customer service is completely frustrating. It took them several weeks to get back to me and did not follow through on addressing my concern. I tried to email them back to tell them this and has now been another several weeks and I’ve heard nothing. I really like their clothes but I can’t deal with poor customer service. beware!

Fabric produces a lot of offgassing

I purchased a set (pants and top) in a fabric called FrostKnit. It's supposed to be extra warm but it's not. What's worse, for a few hours after unpacking, both items had an awful smell a.k.a. offgassing. I don't think a clothing company should be using fabrics that are so toxic that they offgas.

(For reference, I have a really poor sense of smell, if I smell something it's usually much worse for most people.)

Just awful

Just awful. Clothes looks nothing like what you see on the website, the colors, fabric, etc. are off. 25$USD shipping + 25$USD shipping for returns. I only got reimbursed half of what I paid. They make you pay 25$ to return an item and force you to go in person to a UPS shipping point with un unsealed package so that workers there can review it?? In 2022?? Will never consider shopping there again. Do not recommend for Canadian customers. Will spread the word far and wide. Bye Outdoor Voices ✌

Unethical product reviews

They padded new products with 5 star reviews written by employees without disclosing it, very unethical practice considering they use their 5-star status as part of their marketing

Ghosted???

I was mailed a defective pair of Hokas. When I brought the issue to the customer service team they said I could get a store credit for the return fee. I said I wanted to exchange for the correct shoe and that would cost the return fee and the shipping fee ($50 total). If that were to happen I would need that amount in store credit for the exchange (since it was their error). I was ghosted after this email and my follow up email. It’s ridiculously unprofessional.

Beware of refund delays

I purchased a sweater for my husband from this company. The quality was okay, nothing special but not bad. The item did run very large so we returned it because the medium size was more like a large. BEWARE the problem was that I returned the item on December 17. Way before the holiday return rush, which starts after Christmas. On January 9th I realized I never received a refund from them. I contacted them and it was then that they issued the refund. I won't really order from them anymore and would warn others to check their credit card statements to make sure they received a refund from them. I expect a company to refund me without me having to contact them as it's a hassle and waste of time to have to trace back purchases to returns and refunds.

They said it was because of the holiday return rush but I returned my item on December 17 which is before people begin returning Christmas items so I didn't really buy their excuse.
