Terrible customer service... with a twist
Terrible customer service, these people don't know what they are doing. I've been talking to them about my issue for 1 week and then they decided to close my ticket citing that they got "no reply from me"
EDIT: Actually today, I got contacted by a person who can speak English well. They took care of my issue, apologized for the trouble, and they even extended my subscription by 3 months as recompensation for my bad experience.
Genuinely surprised and happy that it turned out this way.
Thank you Maximilian H. from customer support (even though that's prolly not your real name), You're the boss!
Can only agree with previous replies= Useless!
Can only agree with previous replies. Useless company, theirs VPN does not work, but they steel your money. Right now in a process to claim back 60 EUR from them! But no...since they have my debit card info, they charge! I had to cancel my debit card, to get out of this shit. Be ware folks...
All servers blacklisted
Worst VPN - they has all servers on blacklist, so you cant log in almost on any sites who has add-on that blocks VPN servers..
I tried multiple servers and had the same problem so it has no sense to pay for that..
Even its not easy to cancel subscription - i cant find anything in "billing" section and had to contact customer service and block payments in my bank !
Completely appalling customer service…
Completely appalling customer service on all fronts. There are far better VPN services out there—stay away from OVPN. Not professional.
They are trying to have reviews on Trustpilot removed. So sad.
They don't do refunds even if you…
They don't do refunds even if you contact them minutes after the charge. Absolute joke of a service, their customer service is awful.

Horrible company!!!
At the end of August 2024, I signed up for OVPN. I was impressed by their claims of supporting military-grade encryption. Sadly, I would end up being disappointed.
No matter what I did, the OVPN file wouldn't install properly. Several members of the OVPN team were unable to help me install the OVPN file. On September 5th, 2024, I finally asked for a refund, as I was paying for a service that I couldn't even use. Even then, I had to remind the OVPN team that my refund was more than the $10.99/month as advertised. (I live in Canada, and I needed a refund payment of around $16 because of the weak value of the Canadian dollar.) I finally received my refund, but only after much foot-dragging on the part of the OVPN team!!!
This is a great VPN
This is a great VPN. Really love using it and thier customer service is awesome.
Used to be great. Gone downhill since sale to Pango
Used to be great. Gone downhill fast after they sold out to Pango. Does not reply to support tickets at all. Been soon over a month since the last reply from OVPN Support Tickets. Does not update its website about incidents. The last incident has been resolved, but still shows as current on website.

My service has suddenly stopped working…
My service has suddenly stopped working several days ago, service for which I paid for a whole year. I didn't get any reply from support despite sending several emails.
Suddenly bad support!
I've been using them for years.
When they sold out the support became zero!
I have trying to get help for a while but NO answer at all. Will never use them again!

Rating customer service and refund
Rating customer service, that rejected refund on my subscription that I've canceled same day as I was charged. Gladly Paypal dispute refunded me.
Please Consider other VPN providers that don't take a pi&& on their customers
System works most of the times, support is horrible
System works, most of the times. But when it doesn't and you're on your own. Support takes days to weeks to reply.
Once I got a reply from someone who called himself Psalm T. that made no sense at all. This was a complete tech noob, who had absolutely no idea what he was talking about.
You can consider their support as non-existent.
Their VPN client does not work well. Bought add-ons just don't appear.
So technically there is a LOT to improve.
And they must start having support, because what they have now is nothing or at least horrible.
Pay more to have less
Pay more to have less! never seen a vpn service with only one server... not kidding, I pay for ipv4 plugin and have only one server in list, contacted ovpn and they confirm having only one server... w.t.f.? Connecting is a pain (have to try multiple times), working good after succefully connected...22.07.2024
Stable and fast VPN tunnels
I have been using OVPN for a couple of years without problems.
The service has been working nicely. It get really fast connection when using Wireguard.
Used to be good
Used to be one of the best VPN's sadly they sold out to Pango.
Excellent
Used for over a year. Works very well for me, no issues. On the occasion I contacted support they came back quickly with good advice. Speed good, connects quickly, just works.
So very disappointed with OVPN
So very disappointed with OVPN. After MONTHS of research into the companies that own different VPN services and the legal battles over consumer privacy in different jurisdictions, we thought we'd found a company we could trust to prioritize our family's privacy AND provide a technically robust product. So we signed up for a year's subscription while STILL PAYING for another service that kept failing on us but offered no meaningful tech support.
In the first week of usage, we had problems with OVPN. It kept disconnecting, no matter how we tried setting it up. If we activated the kill switch, when (not if) the VPN went down, it would knock out our access to the internet. The only way to get back online was to remove the app from our machines then reinstall. What a hassle--especially since OVPN goes down MULTIPLE TIMES EVERY DAY. As you're on a sensitive website (banking...), you'll see a notification that you've JUST BEEN CONNECTED to OVPN. So when you THOUGHT you were protected, you WERE NOT.
Reaching out to OVPN Support has been fruitless. They're never available. You leave a message, they send you a receipt-confirmation via email, but then they ask you to contact them via their web-page or the app. And if you're not in their part of the world (Eastern Europe?), you'll just see "We're out of the office. We'll be back online tomorrow." So I guess you have to wait up until 4AM your time to get help from OVPN Support.
Another warning: they won't refund you if you ask to close your account AND for a refund within the refund period. We tried MULTIPLE TIMES. We explicitly requested they delete our account and refund us because the service kept failing. They NEVER acknowledged this, just kept suggesting we contact support (futile, see above).
Our family is disgusted. We've tried multiple VPN's. They all have connection/network issues that make using the internet a massive headache. Many strike us as untrustworthy because of shady business practices or relationships with problematic parent companies. We just don't know whom to trust anymore. We think we'll just have to wait until decentralized pay-as-you-go VPN services mature. But, very sadly, we are recommending to all our friends and colleagues that they stay away from OVPN. We most definitely won't be renewing our subscription.
Good VPN.
I took a subscription after having red about their meassures for privacy, clearly explained on their web page. Even though Sweden belongs to "14 eyes" I am not worried since OVPN's strategy with no logs (because of their choice to run everything in RAM on own hardware) more or less guarantees that even if they were forced they couldnt say anything about me.
It is a BIG plus that they are one of the very few that offers a VPN app with GUI for Linux (ubuntu), which works perfectly on my debian based Linux too. Great to have killswitch and multihop in Linux without any hassle.
Speed is great. I barely lose anything in speed (at most 1 or 2 Mbit/s on my 100Mbit fiber) using this VPN. I've had a couple of questions and the support was fairly good (within 12 hours after posting at night)
Wireguard is fairly easy on Linux even though, for now, you have to manually copy commands to the terminal. But that will change when they implement Wireguard in the app. WG seems stable and I am convinced that they have tweaked the natural privacy problems with Wireguard. They explain on their site how they do that. So I am not worried.
It works, but customer service su*s
Their system works really great, but the support really really sucks.
It takes forever to get any answer from them, and follow-up questions are usually ignored.
Currently I've resent my last support mail 3 times in 3 weeks, still no answer
