Where do you begin?

I had my second disappointing experience with OWC customer service today.

Seems like the CSRs are on a tight time allowance per call and do not take the time to read the question.

First time the CSR looked for key words in questions and my responses and provided a response without actually reading all of the message content.Answers were garbage.

Second time I asked about a feature for a specific external case. The response was some cases have the feature and some don't. Huh?

Horrible horrible experience today. Be aware of the "Parallels discount deals and their deals in general". It's very sleezy, bait and switch marketing. I purchased a hard drive through the Parallels promotion that I ended up not needing (unopened). Not only did I have to pay for return shipping, I was only issued half my refund because they worked the sleezy promotion into the equation in which I was still forced to pay for the digital software that I will never use.

Bought a Thunderbolt to 10G Ethernet adapter. Thing was clearly defective, overheats after a few minutes of use. A brief peek into the vent holes of the chassis explains the problem (really lousy build quality, the heat is simply trapped inside). They won't acknowledge the problem and refuse to advance replace it.

I ordered a Thunderbolt Raid 4 to edit my film. The item arrived early, but then I found out I have to download software to operate the machine. I am having such a hard time contacting Tech support to get help. Is this Software included in the purchase? Why didn't I know about this hidden cost if it's not included? I need answers to these questions after spending over $1,000 on this machine.

Purchased DVD Drive in April 2020 and it broke after three uses. Terrible customer services and fraudulent fees.

Please dont buy these hard drive as they are not of good quality as they dont last for even 2 years and give warranty of 3 years. I had bought a SSD hard drive which stopped working and all my data in in the hard drive. I asked for data retrieval but no help from the company, they can only replace the ssd hard drive only after sending the old one. Please buy apple not to have problem.

This review is for the return experience. Even though the mistake was on their end, the company would not provide return shipping. This is a minor nuisance, but a nuisance all the same. I was told their policy is to pay for return shipping only if their product is defective. Companies should be responsible for misinformation on their websites, and customers should not have to pick up the tab for return shipping when they are lead to make buying decisions based on faulty information.

Purchased a hard drive for my 2015 Retina Imac- Drive was DOA. The sata cable adapter was also faulty- Now my imac is a boat anchor. immediately my imac did not work and OWC says it s not their policy to address it because it was the installers fault (me). Apple authorized service documented the logic board failure and said it most likely resulted form the faulty OWC purchased components. Case: 00736437

It's hard to argue with the value that OWC provides the computer and IT professional marketplace. Add to that, fast shipping and super-friendly customer support make doing business with the company a no-brainer! Note: John in technical support is the best. Ever.

Support not existing!
Bought a 480GB SSD Kit for my MBA 2015 at an EU reseller (MacUpgrade OWC - NewerTech Shop, which actually has a email OWC email address!). The USB enclosure does not work.
The EU shop does not respond at all to my request for support on this.
The US OWC responds, but I will have to send the USB enclosure to the US, which will cost me 85% of the enclosures value. When complaining about this procedure there is no response at all.
So now I just have a way overpriced SSD with this not working USB box.
