Disturbing Behavior Vaughter Wellness

I want to share a profoundly troubling experience related to an order I placed with Vaughter Wellness, specifically concerning the actions of its owner. My inquiry about an order led to a response where they not only blamed me but also engaged in doxxing—a severe invasion of privacy. This unexpected cruelty left me devastated; I have never experienced such mistreatment before.

I have forwarded screenshots of the chat exchange to Trustpilot as evidence. (SO there is PROOF and it has been submitted) However, I refrain from providing specific order numbers or personal details in this public review to protect myself from potential harassment by the individual in question. Maybe consider you are the problem not everyone else. Numerous accounts have surfaced where this individual has targeted and harassed individuals who simply asked questions. Therefore, my review is not intended to spread fear, uncertainty, or doubt (FUD), but rather to share my genuine experience.
It is highly likely that this individual will threaten legal action against me and Trustpilot. However, legally speaking, he has no grounds to support such threats. So, Frank, feel free to make your usual threats. It only serves to highlight your erratic behavior.
To bolster the credibility of my account, I possess screenshots documenting my personal interactions. As this was first encounter with the company, my instincts immediately raised concerns, hinting at potential irregularities or even the possibility of a scam. Collecting this "evidence" proved invaluable because, upon attempting to check for updates on my case, I discovered that he had blocked my access to my account. Not entirely sure that is legal, but it led me down a rabbit hole to find out who would do that and why.
After stumbling upon numerous posts online that I wish I had known about before making a purchase, my investigation expanded to a dedicated website (owndoc. net). There, distressing accounts shed light on encounters with Frank, who also seems to go by the name Sarah Vaughter.
Despite my attempts to request a FaceTime call or obtain any proof of her existence, my efforts have been met with an inability to authenticate her identity. Furthermore, I couldn't find another picture of her online, even though this individual is presented as a "self-taught expert in dermaneedling." They disclose having Asperger’s and share their test results on their website, a choice that strikes me as unusual. Without a doubt, something seems off.
I want to emphasize that my intention in sharing my experience is rooted in genuine concern. It deeply hurt me to be unjustly labeled as a thief, especially considering that I volunteer with both adults and children with Autism. I believe in the importance of kindness, as one never truly knows the challenges the person on the other side of the computer screen may be facing.
In anticipation of a potential response from the company I kindly ask you to consider doing so in a courteous manner. Please refrain from accusing me of theft, libel, or any other baseless accusations. I have consulted with legal professionals and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), and I am well aware of my rights. Threatening Trustpilot or any other review platform infringes upon customers' First Amendment rights. Furthermore, when this company replies using "we," it's misleading because it seems to be just one individual flexing their power and behaving like a bully. It's highly improbable that any rational person would willingly collaborate with someone lacking moral integrity. I would love for "Sarah" to give me a call, oh wait, she cannot because she does not appear to exist.
That's certainly a matter that could pique the interest of the courts, especially coupled with their excessively aggressive 23-point terms and conditions. The recent update, seemingly aimed at covering their (or rather, his) behind, raises eyebrows. It's unusual for a business to feel the need for such aggressive language, which could suggest underlying issues.
It's essential to recognize that even if someone has personal challenges, such as autism, it doesn't justify unprovoked cruelty towards others. This was MY experience and it is MY goal to protect others from going through this.
Your claim to be the largest dermaneedling company in the West is questionable. According to your company registration No. 06035923, your company filed for the year ending 31/12/22 with 0 employees. Additionally, your "huge" company was entitled to exemption from audit under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to SMALL companies. Also, using derogatory language like "autistic tard-feeeeelins" in your response is deeply inappropriate and reflects poorly on your character.

I referred to how *she* implied me being an "autistic tard".
I never said we are huge. I said we're the largest dermaneedling company in the west. And the UK definition of a "small company" is below 50 employees and 10 million GBP turnover. We have six employees (2 payroll, 4 freelancers and those freelancers hire people to help them - our P&L and balance sheet are public so you can verify. Our Czech tax people likely did not update the UK details, not that that matters) and do around 2.5 million USD/year.
In fact we border on being not defined as small soon because our assets approach 5 million - also verifiable at Companies House. Huge materials stock, owning our factory as well as lab, large product stock and big savings. This ensures that we're very robust.

Nearly everything we sell is Derminators + cartridges so that's ten thousand Derminators/year. Pretty good for a company that has never advertised and is nowhere to be found under he relevant keywords in a Google search. We're not only the largest dermaneedling company in the west, we're the ONLY western company that manufactures their own device. In the west, here, by ourselves. Not outsourced to a Chinese factory.

This seething drama queen creates libelous 1-star "reviews" with mostly nonsense under fake accounts in revenge for us *rejecting* her as a customer due to rudeness and threats. Have a look at recent bad "reviews" and when this same reply is underneath it - that's her. Less recent ones are not by her but are also all from people we refused to sell to for various reasons that we explain there.

She wanted to buy a Derminator. So then, in revenge for us rejecting her as a customer she filed a POLICE complaint (!!) against our co-founder Frank de Groot for "Stalking which made me fear for my life". In her more than 100 emails she sent him over the course of weeks she claims that googling her name and discovering she was arrested for violently injuring a person on his own property is "stalking" and taunted him: "Have you been arrested yet?".

Go to any page on our site, scroll down quite a bit and find her mugshot under "TrustPilot 1-star reviews" on the right sidebar. Click on it and land on jeanwilsonroberts.com for our side of the story.

Three years ago bought a couple of needle cartridges and was now going to use them for the first time as I had others in stock that I used. When I tried them I ran into problems. I sent a case to customer service and received a reply a couple of hours later that my order had been found and that I had received a credit for the full amount. This despite the fact that my order was so old. This is what I call great customer service!

Got a free replacement

I bought a Derminator 2 five years ago and it had stopped working recently. I created a support ticket and after 16 minutes I got a discount code that allowed me to buy a new one for free. The discount code covered the costs of a new Derminator 2, including VAT and shipping.

Incredible Customer Experience

I purchased the original Derminator several years ago. I had many of the needle cartridges and used them over time. Just this week, I realized that I needed more needles, but found out that they have a new model for the Derminator and they no longer make the needle cartridges for the old model. I decided to buy a new one but submitted a question about the needle cartridges in the support tab to customer service. In response, the CEO himself reached out to me and let me know that he was going to issue me a large credit on the new unit because I had bought the original Derminator. He went above and beyond by looking up my order history, seeing that I was a previous customer, and giving me a credit totally unsolicited. "Wow" is all I can say. This was a pretty impressive customer service experience. Great products, great support, and a great experience. Thank you, Frank!

Exceeded My Expectations

First of all, it is so darn refreshing in this day and age to experience integrity, honesty, impeccable knowledge, and sincere professionalism... rather than empty promises, stretching of the truth, and uneducated recently-hired salespeople pushing products they know nothing about.
The product is great.
Derminator 2 arrived in lightening speed from Eastern Europe. The company kept ALL their promises - and even undersold the experience I was going to have dealing with them. Sounds corny, but this experience gives me faith in the world and people.
I just took a course on dermal needling from a company that charges $5000 for their machine. Thank God I got this value instead!!! Lucky!

touchy and argumentative customer service

Awful hostile customer service. If you express any doubts or concerns about the way they handle their Derminator orders you will be blocked and then you will be subject to sheer humiliation by being asked to state in the correct words your understanding of their rules. The person I dealt with was that condescending, he acted out of bad will from the start making me feel very unwelcome, obviously fixed on previous negative customer experiences he might have had. I believe I was always polite and yet when I pointed at their bad customer service reputation in a well known hair care community he blocked my IP address as well. I'm surprised a company with such a fine product reputation is represented by this person who should know better than antagonising potential customers and so generating bad feedback for his company.
In response to his reply: It's absolutely ridiculous that you are accusing me of lying, why would I need to lie? that makes you the liar. I am just shocked to experience the most temperamental customer service with the lousiest business practice ever. I DID NOT threaten to post anything on the hair loss forum, that is a blatant lie and you know it. I said you are not doing yourself any favours by antagonising your customers, and to prove it I sent a snapshot from the site's feedback on your company stating: 'Cons: Allegedly terrible customer service'. This site also mentions the price after all taxes are covered so as you can see the price was never an issue, it was your wrong syntax what confused me: 'NO CUSTOMS DUTY WILL BE CHARGED ONLY if you remain under GBP 135 or buy only from the following: Derminator, C60..' that implies that you don't pay customs duty 1.by being under £135, 2.by purchasing the Derminator or a C60 etc Just because I expressed my confusion about that you blocked me.
You are losing your argument and now bring in the law, the sign of a bully
Last reply I hope:
I see in your new edit you deleted your accusation of calling me a liar, now changed to untrue. I did not make up anything I said, what seems untrue to you comes from your distorted perception and I’m not saying this as an insult. I honestly believe you are not interpreting me well, I can assure you I did not ever think of threatening you with posting at perfect hair, I don’t even know if they have a page for reviews!
I was able to read your previous edit where you explained you created the Derminator. Well, you are a great inventor but suck as a customer service associate and you would be kinder to yourself and the world if you delegated that position to someone less personally involved.
Reply to your latest edit:
>>'saying you understood perfectly well that there will be NO Customs charges under any conditions so I should basically shut up and take your order'
I never said that and you know it. you are fabricating lines in our conversation.
All I said is 'It's all clear' Any sane customer services associate would have stopped the argument there.
Look at yourself: still arguing the toss, will there be an end to it?
>>'When people insult or threaten us, we won't merely block them from making a purchase but block them from seeing our site entirely'
at that stage I had neither insulted you nor threatened you so it comes to show your own paranoia

You deliberately claimed a lot of untruths, which is the definition of a liar.

Mentioning that criminal defamation here could result in legal action is hardly "bullying". If someone burns your house down (which would cause very much less damage than ruining our business reputation with lies - many people would become unemployed, millions of dollars of income would be forfeit), wouldn't you try to get that crime prosecuted? We have no legal rights because you do not like us?

I never was abusive to you, as you initially claimed in the title.

I politely warned you you'd likely incur a Customs fee of around GBP 45 (in addition to VAT) bec. you did not understand our detailed store warning on exactly how to avoid that, importing into the UK. After Brexit, complex rules came into force, unfortunately. These fees apply when the order is > 135 GBP and an item in the order is not EU-made. You failed to understand or believe this and refused to reiterate those UK Customs rules in your own words so I could verify that you finally understood. Instead you became increasingly arrogant, saying you understood perfectly well that there will be NO Customs charges under any conditions so I should basically shut up and take your order.

When I again explained that you did not understand our explanation and it was nearly guaranteed you'd incur huge fees due to your misunderstanding. you became increasingly rude and made a thinly veiled threat of smearing our reputation online - exactly as you now did, here. When people insult or threaten us, we won't merely block them from making a purchase but block them from seeing our site entirely, so we won't have to deal with them anymore.

When I clarified we do not want to end up paying a GBP 40 fee for re-import Customs fees and lost postage in case you decide not to accept the shipment bec. other UK customers had done so recently also, when they decided not to want to pay unexpectedly high additional import fees, you implied that my warning of these potentially huge fees was nonsense, that our store warning was nonsensical etc. and showed us an example, "to remind you.." how perfecthairhealth could be used to ruin our reputation.

Note to the reader:

None of our bad "reviews" are from actual customers. It's always someone taking a dishonest revenge for us refusing to sell to them, either to protect them against themselves or ourselves against them. People can smear us here anonymously without having to provide a shred of evidence for their claims and of course 99% of sociopaths that we kicked out of our store will give a bad review with a nonsense story.

We understand that our flagship product is unique and extremely desirable and hence, people get furious when they are unable to obtain them - especially when they realize they have only themselves to blame. It doesn't make for juicy defamation to tell the mundane truth: "I was uncooperative/rude/threatening so they blocked me/refused to sell to me" so it's always a variation on the same story: "These people are extremely hostile, atrocious customer service, they are stark raving mad barbarians who belong in a lunatic asylum and their good reviews are fake".

The derminator scarred my face skin.

The derminator scarred my face skin.
It supposedly doesn’t drag but it did.
There are so many obvious lines where the pin dragged through the skin and damaged it.

On top of that,I lost facial hair.
Now I have patchy parts, where all the hair follicles have been ripped out and likely will never regrow again.
I really go through angry and depressed phases every here and then. when I shave my face and see the spots again, It’s infuriating. I wish I would have never listened to the YouTube videos and never got it. Just terrible to know I permanently damaged my skin and beard.

I paid around 400 Euro for a supposedly good microneedling device that left me with a life long regret.

Hi Recep,

I repeat what I told you last time:

- If the cartridge you used scratched your skin then that is not a flaw of the machine but user error, against which we profusely warn in the user manual - several times, in bold, highlighted text. Scratching (which is harmless) and shallow needling is caused by damaging the cartridge by pushing its plunger through its Silicone spring-shroud during cleaning or needle inspection and I think that is the reason **** you kept refusing to show a photo of it when I repeatedly asked you to. ****

That was the only time anyone reporting a needling problem refused to show the cartridge used and also the only time any of our few tens of thousands of customers claims the cartridge destroyed his hair follicles.

- Even if the machine was malfunctioning (which is technically impossible due to the multiple built-in safeguards that verify one another like the three independent Autopilots in jet liners) and needled to its max. attainable depth, it can't have reached the follicles of your beard and even if you would manage to needle to the depth where the hair follicles reside, you must have bled profusely all over your face. But when I brought that up, you remained silent so I assume you did not bleed. Every step of the way you refused cooperation. No photos of the damage, no photo of the cartridge, no information whatsoever. Not the depth you used - you made a claim and then refused all cooperation.

- We have customers who believed bad advice and disregarded both our treatment interval guidelines and max. needling depth guidelines and none reported a disappearance of hair growth or scarring. Ever. It is possible that Derminator treatment makes the needles scratch over the skin and that is always due to the user with force having destroyed the cartridge and never can that cause permanent scarring - let alone the die-off of hair follicles, which reside deeper than the needles can even reach. Damaged cartridges needle *shallower* than the set depth and only retract slower so they could cause superficial scratching. Both are clear to the user and in that case, replace it with a new cartridge and do not damage that one by pressing hard on it's plunger with your finger..

- You refused to provide a photo of the "offending" cartridge or "before" photos of your face, neither are the images you attached sharp. They have a high resolution but they're very unsharp and low contrast so it is impossible to say anything about them. Not having sharp before & after photos makes it impossible to say anything about the issue.

- The lines are blurry but appear to be dryness, peeling and flakes from the needling. Not scars. However these lines could even be "natural". They certainly are much thinner than a needle cartridge. And the needling technique you used is circling, so no lines of any kind could have been created that way.

- You said hair disappeared on the exact spots where you needled to encourage hair growth, indicating that you had a specific pre-existing hair-growth problem at those spots, indicating that the cause for that existed prior to needling and of course could have worsened all by itself.

Superlative customer service!

Absolutely superlative customer service. I'm an old customer of Owndoc, and I contacted them with a question about a product I bought years ago. In addition to the always-prompt responsiveness, the steps they took to stand behind their product, especially after all these years, has left me a little stunned. The integrity displayed by Owndoc is definitely above and beyond. It's not an exaggeration to say that my interaction with Owndoc has rather renewed my faith in humanity in this jaded, cynical day and age. Wish all companies were like them. Highly, highly recommend!!!

Customer service has been absolutely stellar.

I have been a customer of Owndoc going back 10 years. I first bought the original Derminator. It worked wonders on my acne scars and thin skin. However, after a year or so of using it I started having some issues with the device. I contacted customer support to see if they could assist me in either fixing it or returning it. They sent me the updated version within a week or so. I didn't even have to send the old one back. The customer service has been absolutely stellar. Yes, they may do things a bit different than other large companies with AI customer service. I actually like that about owndoc. Just accept it and all is well. I also order the hyaluronic acid gliding serum, copper peptide serum and silicone scar "patches" all very good products. I live in Sweden and even though they always and very clearly warn of possible or probable delays in shipping I have never had to wait very long, not even during the pandemic. Anywho. Thanks ever so much owndoc! I am so much more confident in my own skin ;)
