The tutors rarely respond and it takes…

The tutors rarely respond and it takes forever to recieve a grade, so overall student support is terrible. The assignments are clearly not marked by tutors and are marked by AI, as there are MANY occasions at which I have provided the exact same response as mark scheme, but AI has marked it wrong due to a comma or something. But like I said before, the biggest issue is the tutors that NEVER respond and zero support. For the price you pay, you would expect more than a bunch of pdfs with no tutor support.

Absolute criminals!!

So disappointed!! Be Warned!!
I started a course with Oxbridge, OMG was I wrong to do that.
The company has gone bust, can’t contact them and basically lost my money as there is no tutor support as all tutors seem to have gone. Called their supposedly address, which is a shared office and was told they are no longer at that address as their lease was terminated in August. The director Matt Jones has started up as Barston College. So many people have been ripped off, paid there money and lost it and no tutor support or qualifications.
I have done previous courses with another online College and just enrolled with them again who are well established for many years.
Steer clear of Barston College they are just a re-do of Oxbridge College, highly unethical and surely fraudulent!! There must a law against this! How can they continue to rip off people by selling courses that they can’t supply and offer the back. Criminal!!

Company has gone into administration

Company has gone into administration. (Caseboard case number CR-2025-BHM-000447). They have not told anyone this and have kept taking money for new enrolments. I already have been studying a maths A level with them for the past year, and now will lose all the money for that, and recently tried to enrol for a music A level. They have gone into admin and have not been enrolling anyone. They also have reportedly not been paying tutors for the past two months. Scummy company using scummy practices.

Here is an absolute warning the…

Here is an absolute warning the provider still sends emails to enroll. Enrolment for my daughter’s course was taken over an invoice stating Barston College. The Oxbridge enrolment coordinator ensured it was a franchise. We were continuously ensured that that the course will start soon and that we would be enrolled by 10 September 2025. We understand now that this will not happen as Oxbridge is in administration.

Oxbridge college went into administration without informing students

My child was enrolled at Oxbridge College when they suddenly went into administration - without informing students or families. We only found out through another distance learning provider, who kindly helped us re-enrol to protect my child’s education.

We were deeply shocked. An advisor processed our enrolment shortly before the collapse, which raises serious concerns about transparency.

There has been no communication, no support, and no refund guidance. We’ve had to act quickly and absorb the financial and emotional strain ourselves.

If you’ve paid fees, I strongly recommend contacting your bank to request a refund due to failure of service. Oxbridge has not announced their administration on their website, which is misleading for new students.

For those seeking alternatives, I highly recommend:

- National Extension College
- Learn Now
-Open Study College

These providers are well-established and were quick to support us during this unexpected disruption. I hope this helps others avoid the stress we’ve faced. Wishing you clarity and protection.

Oxbridge, Avoid, Education should be a promise, not a gamble.

Oxbridge – A Masterclass in Misleading Practice
If you're considering enrolling with Oxbridge, think again. This company is currently in administration—a fact they conveniently omit while continuing to accept enrolments and promote their courses with glossy, feel-good messaging like “you’re in control.” In reality, students are being lured into a financial and educational black hole.
There is no transparency, no guarantee of course completion, and no assurance that your fees won’t vanish into the administrative abyss. The promotional language—“no classrooms, no fixed schedules”—reads less like flexibility and more like a euphemism for institutional collapse.
Oxbridge’s decision to continue marketing and accepting payments while in administration is not just irresponsible—it’s ethically indefensible. Vulnerable learners, many seeking career change or personal development, are being exploited under the guise of empowerment.
Until this company can provide written guarantees of service continuity, tutor support, and certification, it should not be allowed to operate as an educational provider. The silence around its financial status is not just deceptive—it’s dangerous.

Evil company.

Please stop buying courses from this company. I have been a student since October 2024, meaning I was 2 months from finishing my course when Oxbridge began their process with administrators. I spent just under £800 for my Level 3 Travel & Tourism Diploma course and now have to fight for my money back. My assignment has not been marked in over a month. My tutor, Nicola Harrison, was made redundant as an Oxbridge employee lied to me and said she had been on leave and was back in the college. Only the sales team remain. They still take money for courses but do not provide. They will not answer the phone, emails, or even live chats. I have been let down and it is now down to me to find how to finish my qualification. I relied on this company and studied from home, leaving in-person college for this provider. Now, my future career may have to be changed as I may not receive the relevant qualification to pursue it. This is all down to Oxbridge not disclosing their financial troubles and choosing to ignore instead of enlighten students and tutors. Please read the reviews before buying as you will save so much money and hassle.

Oxbridge are desperately trying to get these posts removed! Not going to happen, as all posts are correct in what they are saying about this company.

Tutors have not been paid, still taking money from people enrolling for a course knowing dammed well it ain’t going to happen!

It is illegal for a company to continue to trade when they have gone liquidation. Anybody reading this comment please report Oxbridge to Trading Standards!
Anybody thinking of signing up for a course…DON’T BOTHER! You will be ripped off!

And thank you to all the tutors that continued to support their students, even when they hadn’t been paid! Thank you so much!

I am so disappointed with what has happened. I was enjoying my course studying zoology very much indeed. I will not be getting a diploma and I have lost money. However, compared to the Oxbridge tutors who are now unemployed and the many students who’s futures depended on these qualifications, then I don’t have much to complain about.
Nicola Harrison was my tutor and she was excellent and I am very sorry for this awful situation. I wish Nicola and all the other students the best for the future.

Support very disappointing

My daughter has signed up and started her assignments but so far we are very disappointed.
It is impossible to get through on the telephone when you need support, On hold each time for over 30 minutes to no avail. The chatbox has just cuts us off. Her personal tutor has not responded to an urgent email. I am really feeling we picked the wrong company to go with and it could have serious implications on my daughter's uni place.

Stay away from this company

As a dedicated former employee of Oxbridge, I have now been made redundant. No one is responding to my emails and I understand they are still selling courses to students when there are no tutors to mark their work and the companyis in administration. Totally immoral and wrong.
Please do not waste your money on this company.
I hope all my former students manage to obtain their certificates from the awarding body.

will not answer the phone

I have been trying to contact Oxbridge for 10 days, spending up to an hour each day online or on the phone, with now reply other than a chat that is not effective. You cannot register online easily if trying to do so from overseas.
Be warned if you are from overseas, you will need to sit many of the exams in the UK, we are lucky as we are a UK exam center even though based overseas.

Oxbridge Ltd is currently in…

Oxbridge Ltd is currently in provisional liquidation, which means that a court has frozen its assets in anticipation of a hearing to decide if it should be liquidated.

Should a company trade if it is in provisional liquidation? BUT THEY ARE STILL TAKING MONEY FOR COURSES THAT DO NOT EXIST……the liquidators should have closed their website down

In provisional liquidation, the company's trading activities are halted to prevent further losses to creditors. The provisional liquidator's role is to safeguard the company's assets and preserve the company's records. Trading during this period is not permitted unless specifically authorized by the court. The provisional liquidator's powers are limited, and they are appointed to ensure the company's assets are preserved and that the company's affairs are investigated. If the company is deemed to be insolvent, it is legally required to cease trading to protect creditors and to facilitate the liquidation process

Avoid as they will take your money

Do not enrol or take out finance with this company, they are in administration. All
Staff have been let go (without pay for a number of months) except for the sales team ready and waiting to sign you up to a course that does not exist. They have no tutors or markers anymore but are still trying to get your money. Please go elsewhere, this is a completely immoral company who have ghosted their staff and stolen thousands of pounds from hard working people and students looking to develop themselves all due to a dodgy divorce apparently. Avoid any company/college set up by these directors , they are as dodgy as they come and have ruined a lot of people’s life.

Company in administration

This company has gone into administration, which would explain why no one is answering the phones, and none of the tutors are replying. I have gone through the finance route with Omni Capital Finance who knew about Oxbridge going into administration but are still expecting me to make loan repayments, despite the fact we are not receiving the service for which the loan is for (three A levels). Absolutely gutted about this, and strongly urge anyone considering using this company to avoid.
