I recently attempted to purchase side steps for my Toyota Kluger from Ozi4x4 Accessories. The side steps were advertised at $159. However, the freight cost to North Queensland was a shocking $390. I frequently shop online and have never encountered such astronomical shipping fees.

After abandoning the sale, I was contacted by Ozi4x4. When I voiced my concern about the freight charges, I was amusingly told I could pick up the item from their depot in Smithfield, NSW. Clearly, the customer service representative was either unaware of the distance involved or simply uninterested in offering a reasonable solution.

After reaching out to them on Facebook, I received the same dismissive response. They claimed the item was "heavy," requiring a forklift, even though it weighs only 30kg. I've recently had a larger item shipped for just $65, making their freight costs appear even more unreasonable.

Ozi4x4 Accessories seems to have accumulated a series of negative reviews lately, mainly regarding their product quality, inflated freight costs, and poor customer service.

Moreover, all their products appear to be advertised at heavily discounted prices compared to their RRP. This raises questions about the authenticity of these 'discounts,' as it could be a breach of Australian Consumer Law if these RRPs are misleading or false. According to the ACCC, businesses must not make false or misleading representations about the price of goods or services (ACL sections 29(1)(i) and 48).

To add insult to injury, they've sent me text messages at 1:30 am for two consecutive nights, urging me to complete the purchase. Sending marketing text messages at inappropriate hours may also be a breach of the ACL and could be considered undue harassment (ACL section 50).

All in all, this experience has been far from satisfactory, and I'd recommend others exercise caution when considering a purchase from Ozi4x4 Accessories.

My partner had a bullbar installed in his 4WD a month ago. It looked fantastic and he was stoked. So I ordered and paid and arranged for a trusted friend to take my car down to have the bullbar installed. This is the list of problems we experienced that day, some of which is feedback

- confirmed with Zoltan that the car needed to be there by 08.00, and would be ready by 12.00 noon. Arrived to be told that they don't open to 08.30 and the car would not be ready until 15.00.
- Bar badly aligned to body, no clearance of 15mm to allow for movement. So tight to the body the pinch weld is already coming loose in places. (See images)
- was this bar even meant for this model the spacing is all over the place and partially covers the lower part of the headlights (see images)
- Scratch on grille
- Loose grille
- Different bash plates installed without knowledge and originals not returned (the nudge bar and front bumper were returned).
- Damaged number plate holes
- missing anti-theft screws not returned
- Spotlights worked that morning on the way to OZI4X4, and were installed by a qualified, experienced tradesman (only one works)
- Fog lights have always worked and worked on the morning the car went to OZI4X4 (don't work at all now)

OZI4X4 claimed that the lights did not work and that only one spotlight worked. This is false.
Will no longer recommend OZI4X4 after such poor pride in workmanship and damage caused by your company and attempting to blame everyone else including the only man who seemed to provide quality customer service who no longer works there as well as our friend who took time out of his day to take my car down for me.

We contacted OZI4X4 spoke with a fitter and someone claiming to be the manager, who just argued with my partner. We are not near Smithfield and have put the car in the hands of qualified tradesmen to fix all the issues caused by OZI4X4. We were told that Zoltan was no longer with the company. But on reading other reviews he clearly is and is based in a new branch being Gregory Hills

We were meekly offered to return the car to them to fix all the issues, but with a list that extensive, do not feel comfortable with returning. We would rather pay to have the issues remedied by someone trusted given how we were treated by this apparently experienced business. The company even lied and said that we had attended on the Saturday after the installation and had abused a female staff member. This is untrue as we have not been down to Smithfield since this terrible experience.

The order was made in my partner Ian's name as he had the business owner stop him in his car at a local McDonald's to take pictures of the car because it looks so good. I'm sure the owners would be embarrassed to see my car left in the way it did. I know I am.

I purchased a bonnet protector for my 2017 Holden Colorado. After installing the screws for the brackets fell out & were list on the road. They sent me replacement brackets with screws missing & not compatible. Will never purchase from them again.

Paid for supply and install of a snorkel, they installed the wrong snorkel leaving me with over 5k of damage and refusing to rectify

Absolutely useless company. Asked sales whether a roller shutter would fit my ute with the stock sports bar (Colorado Z71) , nobody could tell me. They asked me to send photos of my ute, which I did, 2 days later still nobody knew, and nobody even looked at the photos. Went to a branch, in Gregory Hills, waited for 45min after they knew I was downstairs, whilst I could hear the conversation going on upstairs. Lady came down and said someone will be with me within a few min, waited 30 min and left. Don't waste your time, go elsewhere, save yourself lots of frustration and time.

Complete scam of a company do not buy anything from them

sent me a damaged canopy and reduse to compensate me despite i paid for insurance on the product company will not respond to emails or calls i’ve sent photos and everything. $3500 for an unusable ute canopy the owner told one staff member i could have $160 in return… should not be in business it’s been months and they refuse to sort this issue out

The 5 star trust pilot ratings and reviews for OZI4x4 are obviously false reviews...

This is a scam company ripping off Australians every day...
False advertising, misleading customer service and poor quality items. STAY AWAY.

Unreliable they are selling items they dont have in stock i bought a light bar 2 months ago and it is still not in stock will never buy from them again

Bought bull bar kit in may 2022 was told 7 days will have it it is now august. They made me pay for it in may aswell as freight finally ring me to tell me it's arrived in august and will cost me another $500 on top of what I already paid for shipping. It's not my fault they didn't supply when was supposed to now since with all the price rises in-between freight had gone up extra $500 if I got it back in may it would not have cost extra. Very bad company don't pay for anything unless 100% know its in stock. I got nothing extra for all the stuffing around they had all my money for months still have no bull bar kit. Never again will I buy from them

I bought a canopy online,advertised as ready to order so in stock.
With a 5to 10 dispatch advertised.
Got my confirmation of order emailed and then nothing.
I phoned on day 12 and still couldn’t be told when it would ship.
Bad customer service and I am starting to think this is a scam website.
