We have used Iain twice now. He quickly turned things round. His zoom talk through is really detailed, insightful and helpful. You can keep the zoom video to refer to after. I walked away feeling confident that he had really done his job, and helped us. I would use him again, as I already have.

Excellent experience with PA surveyors. Iain did what he said he would do. He worked to our schedule, providing a thorough written and verbal report for the flat we were purchasing. He was clear in what he said, giving detailed information I could understand. I would definitely use him again.

We’ve been on quite a journey with Ian as we’ve navigated the complicated property market of the last couple of years, and needed several surveys. He’s been a great person to have on board. He provides jargon-free advice on Brighton’s often eccentric houses – he provides loads of photographs and great advice on how to preserve Victorian buildings and put right any issues. Having a survey done can be stressful but he makes it much less so thanks to his clear guidance – he provides a copy of video calls to refer to later.

We recently contacted PA Surveyors as we needed a valuation for a flat lease extension. Iain Plant was very knowledgeable and professional. He was able to offer his expert advice where needed. Our survey, complete with a detailed report, was carried out in a timely manner.

Iain was recommended to me during my recent house purchase. Setting up the survey was quick and simple. He sent over lots of photos ahead of the video call report and was very thorough in going through them, pointing out specific points and making recommendations. I found the video call format to be really helpful - being able to ask questions and clarify points in real time rather than in response to a written report is invaluable. Iain was happy for me to share the invite link with a family member who would be helping me to arrange any necessary remedial work so it was great they could join live and ask questions as well. He ran through the various options available if I wanted a full report or just specific points to be written up, but as there were no areas of particular concern I was confident that I had enough with the video call recording. There were a couple of follow up questions about party walls and building regulation requirements that my solicitor had when she was finalising the purchase and Iain was very prompt in providing a response. Would thoroughly recommend Iain to anyone looking for a surveyor.

This is the second time I have had a survey done with PA Surveyors. Iain is very knowledgeable and easy to communicate with. It was a very detailed survey with over 250 photos and he answered all my questions via a zoom meeting which I found very helpful. What a brilliant service!
We contracted Iain at PA Surveyors to carry out a property survey. Iain was supper helpful and provided first class communication with us throughout the process. After the survey was completed we joined Iain online to go through the various photographs of the survey results, this was so helpful for us to visually see/weigh up all the works that needed to be done. I would 100% recommend using PA Surveyors and will definitely be engaging their services again on our next purchase.

We were after a critical lens on a purchase and we got exactly what we wanted. Iain is clearly highly experienced in the field and gave recommendations on things we would have never spotted as well as drafting up what is essentially a check list for us for the future.

Iain provided an excellent service. He was quick to respond to my initial enquiry, flexible with his availability and then thorough with his report. The feedback after the survey was detailed yet delivered in a way that was easy to understand. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone and if needed, will engage him again in the future.

Iain was brilliant. We instructed him to conduct a survey for a home purchase. He went into great detail and provided over 200 photos of the property. He followed up with a 90-minute video call to go through his findings. This helped us to decide the level of report we needed. He was very informative and gave us the confidence to proceed with our purchase.

It's difficult to select a Surveyor when buying a house, as one doesn't have the knowledge to make an informed decision. We chose Iain at PA Surveyors, mainly because we'd used him before, but also because he's good and straight forward chap. We again chose to have the Building Survey with a video report in which Iain spoke to us online for around two hours. Iain was meticulously thorough and presented it all in layman's terms so it was easy to understand. Can't recommend highly enough.

Iain was very easy to deal with. He was able to quickly and simply arrange via the estate agent to survey our intended purchase. A very thorough assessment of the house was conducted and a detailed walkthrough given to us which gave us the confidence in the property, but also a comprehensive and prioritised jobs list for work we will want to do on our new property.

Iain surveyed a house we were purchasing and unveiled some really important things within the property. We had an hours phone call which he recorded, explaining what he found and what each thing could mean for us. He then provided further support by recommending some specialised asbestos contractors to conduct lab testing for us. Iain’s report was an integral part of us moving forward with our sale. He was really thorough, and a pleasure to deal with.

The survey was comprehensive with the meeting to go through the report very thorough, but also very easy to follow with good use of photos to help to explain the findings. The report gave us great reassurance that there were no serious issues that would need to be addressed.
The report was issued in a very short timeframe which also was of real help in keeping the purchase moving along.

Initially, I was a little sceptical of PA Surveyors method of carrying out a full survey and then presenting me the info in a zoom call the next day as I liked the idea of having a large written report to refer to. Fortunately, I went with the multiple excellent reviews that Iain receives online and appointed him to carry out a full survey on a 3 bed, detached property I am purchasing...I was not disappointed. The survey he carried out was extremely thorough and relevant to my specific concerns. He took 2/300 photos and went through pretty much all of them in an extremely detailed and helpful zoom call the next day. I took copious notes during the call but he also records the call from his end and forwards the video file on with a maintenance guide afterwards so the notes aren't necessary. This method works out very cost effective and saves time both ends as I am sure having to produce a full written report is very time intensive and where the majority of the costs stem from. You can, of course, opt to receive the full report at a fixed cost, if you wish or you can take him up on his offer to write a report on any specific issues that are relevant to your sale at a very reasonable hourly rate. You are not under any pressure to take either of these options. I found the presentation was so detailed and presented so clearly that I did not need any further work produced. Ian is extremely knowledgeable of his industry and even recommends solutions and products that may allay any issues that arise. All in all, brilliant, very professional and how all surveys should be carried out. Thank you Iain.
