We had a Harry Potter party for my 8 years old daughter, and was a great success. The children liked so much the game and catching the Golden Snitch was the highlight of the party. There was so many attractions: using wounds, learning spells, speaking Dobby , book of Monsters, potions... Communication with Liz was very good. I will highly recommend it

I hired the Pokemon party for my 8 year olds birthday. Major plus points was having a party plan and structure which included timings. Kids absolutely loved collecting stars after each activity for the training academy and really tied it all together. I would suggest to anyone doing one of these parties to enlist some help from friends and family to help organise the games as it can be a bit overwhelming trying to oversee 12+ kids while also setting up the next activity.
The courier delivery and pick up was seamless and communication from Liz was great throughout.

We absolutely loved the Pokemon party package for our sons 7th birthday. We had 20 children in a village hall and it worked really well, they loved the games, especially the obstacle course! It was great to receive the decorations, there were plenty and so much better to rent than buy them all! Liz was extremely organised with the party instructions which was a complete godsend! We found the courier pickup and dropoff worked really well. I really recommend upgrading to the sweet shop as it was a v popular way to end the party. The kids described it as "excellent" and we don't hesitate to recommend! Thank you Packaway Parties!

This is a really smart idea and a great way to reduce the waste that often comes with parties. Everything you could need is in the box including prizes for the games and pins to hang up decorations. My 7 year old and all his pals had a brilliant time at the party.

Absolutely brilliant service. Made hosting a party so much easier and stress-free which is quite something when 12 children are running around your house!
So much in the box and the games were very well thought out. Loved the timetable and detailed instructions and there was more than enough activities to keep everyone entertained for 2 hours. Highly recommend.

Brilliant concept and smooth execution. Lots of props and decorations to transform the space and bring the atmosphere alive. That topped with the costumes and a few spectacular games completely absorbed the kids and afterwards most of them stayed in character and continued playing using their own imagination in the magical world.

Fantastic idea, they've thought of everything and it's organised so well, so that for busy parents you just open it up, follow the instructions, enjoy and pack it away again! No timely planning, organising, purchasing everything individually. We'll definitely be using them again. Everyone commented on how great the decorations and games were, with the added extras making it more enjoyable and special.

An absolutely brilliant concept for a party! The crate full of decorations, games, equipment, Lego, figures, tableware, instructions, party bags and contents was more than we could have possibly imagined! The children had a fantastic time creating, and the games that we did were engaging and fun. Hugely impressed and grateful to Liz for her prompt communication along the way, and for giving our son a party to remember!

The party was a big success—thank you! The kids had a fantastic time, and the activities kept them engaged throughout. The package was well put together and made hosting much easier. The contents were great, and everything was clearly labeled and easy to use. Talking Dobby, candles that change colours and fuming couldron, huge Hogwarts castle backdrop with many many other decorations made it very popular, even with 9 year olds! The pricing was very competitive for what was included.
I would definitely consider using Packaway Party again and would happily recommend it!

Absolutely brilliant. This is the second time we've used Liz and Packaway parties. The communication and process is so seamless and smooth making the party easy to execute. Both the HP and Pokemon parties were well thought out and fun for the guests. The HP props were absolutely ace and the kids loved it. I had nothing but compliments off parents too

From the outset, Liz was responsive, helpful and importantly for us, available at short notice. The Harry Potter Party had more than enough decorations and games to keep 11 nine year olds entertained and happy for almost three hours. Not sure that that adults didn't have more fun dressing up though! Adding the sweet shop and party bags took some much needed admin off my plate and rounded the party off perfectly. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others.

The pack was great, the kids loved the dressing up, the games and the venue looked amazing with all of the props/decorations. Overall I found it really easy to use, you do need some time to digest the pack but once I got it into my head it was very easy to understand, Liz has created a great and unique party option and I really did love it!

I hired the Harry Potter option for My son's 6th birthday which we hosted in a village hall for 20 kids. If you have a big group like this I would advise having 2 of you running it and splitting the group at certain points as I tried to do it all myself and it would have been smoother if I had another adult fully helping!

I loved not having to think about what games to have and having all of the props/decorations delivered to me, it made having an epic party affordable.

The Lego party package was very well thought out, and was organised and packed in a way to make our party preparation easy.  The instructions were easy to follow to make the games fun for the children.  The games were nicely varied to keep their interest. We could pick which games to follow to mix with the chidren doing their own thing with the enormous pile of lego!

Absolutely amazing Harry Potter party! We ordered a packaway party for my son’s 9th birthday party and it was a huge hit! The magic candles and honeydukes in particular were highlights. There’s plenty of stuff in the box to keep the kids occupied and really helpful instructions and communication from Liz. Would definitely recommend Packaway parties to friends and we may well be back for another party!

We hired the Lego party package for 28 children for my son's 6th birthday and it was a total hit! The kids were welcomed with special hi-vis uniforms to wear and dove excitedly into two massive bags of Lego to play with. We used most of the games included in the package and the kids were engaged throughout and really enjoyed the variety and pacing of the party. Other parents were saying afterwards how brilliant it was, and I'd use Packaway Parties again without any hesitation. To have that many kids, most of them 5 year olds, and have a 2 hour party where they are focused, engaged and entertained without running around and screaming, it was magical!!

Only thing I'd say is that waiting for the box to arrive can be a little stressful not knowing exactly what you're going to get, but when it does get to you everything is clean, organised and laid out with a full party plan and instructions.

Thank you Liz for helping to make my boy's day so special and for helping me to pull off a party that kids and their grown-ups will be talking about for the rest of the school year!

We have used this company twice now- for a harry potter party for my son's 8th birthday and a pokemon party for my younger son's 6th party. The communication prior to and after receiving the box was very good. The plan was good. I would say it is obviously more work than just hiring a venue with entertainment (e.g. innoflate or smthg) however it is also worth it in terms of doing something different and really engaging for the kids. The harry potter one especially was really memorable for the kids with a smoking cauldron and magic candles. Overall I would highly recommend this for a great experience but you will need a bit of time to read through all the games/ challenges and practically definitely easier to have at least 2 adults organising the party.

Absolutely disgusting party package. The costumes were dirty, smelly, and completely unsuitable for use. To make matters worse, the package was delivered close to the party, leaving us scrambling to find alternatives.

The vendor refused to acknowledge the poor quality of the items and essentially tried to force us into using them. The props were filthy, including bottles that were in a disgusting state, and the overall quality was far below any reasonable standard. Whilst we accept this is a hire and not a purchase, we still believe all items should at least be sanitary and useable.

To add insult to injury, the vendor refused to take the box back, and we had to pay for the return out of our own pockets. Although a refund was eventually issued, it was only offered as a “goodwill gesture,” which felt inadequate given the condition of the items and the stress caused.

This experience was a complete nightmare and ruined the party planning process. I would not recommend this vendor to anyone.

We had the Harry Potter box for my daughter's 9th birthday and it was absolutely brilliant the kids had a blast and all the games and props were brilliant. It was structured like a Hogwarts day and included all the costumes and decorations. Great value for money. Clear professional communication. Great experience

I would highly recommend Packaway Parties. We had the Lego one for our son's 4th birthday. It was a similar price to just hiring the Lego on its own (from another site) but all the decorations, ramp for Lego car racing, prizes and game ideas made it well worth getting this one instead. We held the party in our house. We were worried about space but it was absolutely fine for this age group. I would say we didn't use that many of the game ideas and some were pitched a bit older anyway but it really didn't matter. The children just loved doing their own thing and being creative - using the ramp for testing their cars, wearing the builder vests and masks and coming and going to the 'Lego zone' as they pleased. Our son was there most of the time. Liz was really helpful through email in the run up, and then the instructions that come with the party stuff contained everything you need, and more! We'd definitely recommend and would use again.
