What a brilliant afternoon we had! Kylie and Ivo were absolutely wonderful from start to finish; entertaining and knowledgeable, they made the tour interesting and fun the whole way through. We were singing our little hearts out on the bus and it was so lovely to see all the locations from the film. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who is a fan of The Sound of Music. A fantastic tour
A fantastic tour. Our guide was great and had an amazing knowledge of the sound of Music. To see all the places it was filmed brought it to life. Would highly recommend it and will be back to do it again.

Fun highlight of our visit!
Was reluctant to go because the tour was “too touristy”, but my daughter insisted. It was a fun day and we’re glad we did it! Our guide Bridget (Brigitte?) was very upbeat and entertaining. I particularly liked the stop in Mondsee to be able to walk around a little and get a gelato. The big bus was comfortable, sound was great, enjoyed the videos and the safe driving of Sammy (?) the driver. Just be a tourist and go enjoy the half day!

Fun way to see Sound of Music filming locations
Stephanie was a great guide - friendly, funny and very knowledgeable about the Sound of Music filming locations in and around Salzburg. She also got us all singing along to the soundtrack. The large size of the bus meant we couldn’t get up close to some locations (e.g. Nonnberg Abbey and Schloss Frohnburg) which meant we observed them from a distance, but it was great to have a bit of free time in Mondsee.

Incredible Tour, beautiful scenery and great background
The weather was fairly dismal but Kylie did a phenomal job as our tour guide to give us the best experience. If you are a Sound of Music fan, you definitely need to take this tour. We got to see so many sites connected to the musical and get the details you probably have never heard before. The sing alongs on the bus were fun and Kylie really made the trip enjoyable.

Fantastic guide and driver and a lot of fun seeing all the main sites from the movie. I also enjoyed learning more about the making of the movie and the real life family, and the scenic drive through the countryside (with the sing-along).

Great Service
The SOM Tour was amazing and it was what I was looking forward to the most but we really loved the tour to Hallstaad as well. Both drivers were fantastic and the guide on the SOM tour was so funny it really made the Tour that much more enjoyable. The singalong was great. The video on the way back was very cool. An excellent afternoon seeing the famous Sound of Music landmarks and wonderful scenery of Austria, including the beautiful Austrian lakes.
David and our driver were so much fun and most caring and considerate to my 90 year old mum.

Just wow
Just wow! We (my Mum and I) came to Salzburg to tick the sound of Music tour off our bucket list. Stephanie our guide was welcoming, knowledgeable and kind. Whilst having a sing along to Edelweiss (a song that means a lot to us due to losing my Gran), Stephanie made sure my Mum and I were ok by standing with us, with a hand on my Mum's shoulder. Her caring gesture really meant so much. Our driver (Evo - hopefully spelt correctly) was an absolute delight as well. As for the tour, we couldn't rate it highly enough. A particular highlight was visiting the wedding church in Mondsee. The town itself is beautiful and it was great to have some free time to visit the church and try some strudel! Thank you for ensuring the tour lived up to all our expectations. We are leaving Salzburg two very happy ladies so thank you so much

Kylie was our Ausy tour guide. She was great fun and had an unbelievable wealth of knowledge on everything Sound of Music and the Von Trapp family. Evo, our bus driver made the trip super smooth. I can thoroughly recommend the 4hr Sound of Music tour whether you just like the film or are a super fan!

Dream Come True!!!
Ahhhhh, my dream finally came true! The Sound of Music tour was a surreal experience for me as it was a life long dream coming to reality! I couldn’t help but to get emotional as we drove around the city and even outside of Salzburg just to see all the locations they filmed in the movie. We travelled thousands of miles away just to do this and it surely didn’t disappoint! Thank you Eric, our tour guide, for that once in a lifetime experience!

Enjoyable but expensive!
The guide was friendly and very informative. We enjoyed the day but thought the cost for two at £125.23 or 143.59 euros, was excessive.
At the end of the trip the guide asked for a round of applause for the driver and asked if he and the driver were appreciated to place some euros in the baskets at the bus exits. This would have been fine, if it wasn't for the trips 'over-the-top' cost!
Considering an Austrian mobility ticket takes you to all the trips destinations for next to nothing, you feel it should have been better value for money.
Two coaches took around 106 people on the morning trip, with a total cost of around £6,600 plus. With the afternoon trips makes it £13,200 plus per day! It would make a good profit at half the cost.
