Jose was absolutely wonderful, full of energy and clearly very knowledgeable. Most of all he was he was very engaging. We loved every minute of the Sound of Music Tour!! Yes way Jose!
Also the driver, Eval, was a crack up.

Mirko was so fun and such a pleasure to be with. He’s great and also very funny. He knew so many tidbits of interesting information. Loved the salt mines and his tour.

The tour was well planned, great interaction, beautiful sights, interesting and of course our tour guide Jose was fantastic. He engaged the crowd, was well spoken. And it was a particularly nice time as he’s getting married this week. Our entire family of different generations loved it.

Jose the tour guide was simply incredible. He is so knowledgeable on the real history and the film history of the Von Trap family and the Sound of Music. Jose has visited the last remaining member of the Von Trap family in America and spent time with some of the cast members from the film. He was able to provide real incites and stories from his personal interactions which was so cool to hear. The tour itself was awesome. We got to see most of the iconic places from the film and much of the beautiful scenery in and around Salzburg. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to learn about the Sound of Music film and Salzburg.

This was the best tour I have ever been on. Our guide José was amazing! He shared the best stories and and you can tell that it comes naturally to him. Happy that he could share his joy and pride for the Sound of Music through his knowledge and experience with us. The tour is very creative and well planned from the very start to finish. No dead moments, but also not too rushed. Everything had its own moment to shine. For a fan who watched this movie endlessly as a kid, this was a real dream come true. I loved it! And if you visit Salzburg soon, I highly recommend you to go on this tour and embrace the best of the Sound of Music. Listen and sing along to all the songs while you go through some breathtaking views. Thank you!!

Incredible tour that I was able to book last minute with no hassle. It ended up being a nice, small group with the kindest and most informative guide. I highly recommend!

We had a great guide (Johannes?), who was extremely informative, funny and has a great singing voice! Thoroughly enjoyed the tour.

Our tour guide was Jose, who was very personable and knowledgeable about interesting tidbits relevant to the tour. His comedic timing thoughtful and natural. Our driver (we can’t recall his name —sorry) was a magician maneuvering the large coach bus around narrow corners and rotaries. The tour itself was a wonderful way to understand the makings behind the Sound of Music movie and is a great introduction to Salzburg’s modern history.

Our Sound of Music tour in Salzburg was truly memorable and nostalgic in the best way. Our tour guide, Jose, was a true star of the day. You can immediately tell he’s a genuine fan of The Sound of Music - not just someone reciting facts, but someone who truly loves the story. That passion comes through in every detail he shares.
At locations like Mondsee, his enthusiasm felt heartfelt and authentic. He spoke about the film, the true Von Trapp story, and Salzburg itself with such warmth that you could genuinely feel how much it means to him. It made the experience far more personal and moving than we expected.

The tour itself was wonderfully all-encompassing, covering both the beloved film locations and the real-life history behind The Sound of Music. It struck the perfect balance between storytelling, scenery, and nostalgia. Hearing everyone join in with the singing on the trip made it feel joyful and communal rather than touristy. It wasn’t just about seeing the sights; it was about reliving the music and sharing the experience as a group.

Mitch was a great guide. The sound of music tour was fab and the trip up the mountains in the snow was spectacular.

The experience itself was good, but actually you just pay for a driver (and a little bit of explanation) because all the rest is on your own. And it is really way too expensive for juste a driver (with a big group).

Everyone comes on the Sound of Music tour because it means something personal — it’s part of their story, their journey, their memories. But what truly makes it special is Jose. He doesn’t just guide the tour; he elevates the entire experience. He brings heart, humour and warmth, and somehow turns a beautiful trip into something unforgettable. He helps people create memories that stay with them long after the music fades.
We also want to wish Jose all the very best for his wedding in the next three weeks. May this new chapter bring him and his partner a lifetime of happiness, love and beautiful memories — just like the ones he so generously helps create for others every single day.

We really enjoyed the tour, especially due to the great effort of our super friendly guide („Mr Pants“ as he called himself!). We were impressed with the places we saw and the things we learnt and the fun we had. Even the younger generation members of our party who were not at all convinced before the tour admitted to having really enjoyed it and to wanting to watch the film a second time - they had only watched it under duress the first time before we took them on the tour!

The planning and the execution of the visit is great, the guide is very kind and tactful.

Panorama Guide Jose is an absolute rockstar! We loved our Sound of Music Tour. It was full of fun facts, humour, chats and singing and wonderfully driven and led. Jose is passionate and genuinely interested in the history and the people, which is infectious! He is a walking encycopledia but so much more fun! The tour is a mixture of the drive, walk and a bit of free time to do some exploring yourself. You don't feel the time fly by, but you also get so much from it. We were lucky with our guide and the incredible content of the tour and the beautiful weather was the cherry on top. Our guide Jose gave us some great recommendations for what to do during our hour of free time (restaurant, walk, gift shop). Everyone is so nice! Thank you for a fantastic experience and we will always remember you Jose!

This tour was fantastic. Hose was our guide. We travelled in a small minivan and visited all the iconic sites where the movie was filmed. The tour itself was really professional and engaging. Hose has been to visit the last surviving Von Trapp child and also escorted actors who played the children on the tour. He shared first hand stories and music that was perfectly timed and the drive through the mountains and lakes was magnificent. If you are a Sound of Music fan you should come to Salzburg to do this tour!
