Avoid at any cost
Avoid at any cost. They can tell you wonderful prices for their parcels but their cooperation with DPD is very unprofessional.
On the 31st of July I sent two parcels. One by standard post via Royal Mail the other one which was more valuable by DPD(ordered from parcel2go website).
The standard Royal Mail parcel arrived within 7 days from posting it. The courier parcel got stuck in a hub for 14 days and suddenly came back to me.
No money has been refunded to me since then. It looks like I Paid and posted a parcel to my own address. How great.
Of course before the parcel came back to me I tried to contact Dpd but they couldn’t answer me because I had to contact parcel2go first. I did it. They said I should write to the investigation team (no phone provided only emails). They responded. They said that DPd has 2 days to explain why they returned my parcel and then they will rearrange my delivery again. The two days have gone. Parcel2go still doesn’t know why. No money has been returned. My parcel is still at my house. The recipient is frustrated and disappointed. Parcel2go wasted my time.
It’s a modern “theft”. I still have my parcel and they still have my money and they keep wasting my time.
Lack of professional behaviour and competence and due care.
I understand everyone needs money but I paid for my service and haven’t received the service I paid for. If parcel2go called themselves a charity I would donate, but be professional and do what your terms and conditions say.
They are misselling services and should…
They are misselling services and should be reported to consumer ombudsman. Let's say they advertise collect+ service, which you select. Parcel is lost and they pull out of base collect+ £50 protection, which would apply if you take it directly with the carrier. If you could imagine uber eats delivering your BigMac without meat.
I would recommend not to use this…
I would recommend not to use this service or portal for any south Asian country, especially if you are planning to send anything to India.
Please, humble request don't waste your money, time and energy.
Why ? - Because I booked 4 parcels while I was leaving UK to India. It's almost 6 weeks over and out of four 2 has arrived and 2 boxes still not traceable either by Parcel2Go or their partner. Secondly 4th parcel was LED TV which is totally broken and now chasing pole to pole for purchase insurance cover.
So this is my total loss after paying almost 500 pounds and even after buying insurance and delivery guaranteed date by paying extra charges / premium.
Service too patchy to recommend
Used P2G many many times and had a fair few issues in the last few years. However the latest is enough for me to not use again. I booked an expensive express service to Australia 6 days ago and yet again DPD didn't show up. They try to make contacting them difficult to avoid being swamped and ultimately provided no answers or help. Contacted the chat agent on Friday and got called sir after every word and just palmed me off saying collection would be 'maybe Friday' or I could drop it off instead (when they then say no collections until Monday!) then said maybe it would be collected Monday but no assurances. Contacted again today and agent clearly knew nothing was happening and rebooked again with UPS calling it an 'upgrade' (an upgrade 6 days after booking on a 3 day service) offered no compensation and yet again could not guarentee anything. It's just too risky to recommend despite many successful deliveries.
This company parcels2go are pathetic
This company are pathetic. I cancelled my order yesterday and the poor man from hermes came to collect a item which wasn't even here. I asked parcels2go for refund. If they don't refund me I will be taking it further, to trading standards and the ombudsman. AVOID LIKE THE Plague. Waste of time. I want my refund.
Waste of money, terrible customer service, like paying someone to bin your parcel.
Terrible service, live chat assistants are incredibly unhelpful and obviously copy and paste responses. Sent a parcel recently to Italy from the UK, parcel was scheduled to arrive within a week, 2 months later the parcel is now in the middle of nowhere in a hub supposedly being returned to sender despite actively requesting not to. Receiver waited in for days on end and parcel2go claimed they attempted delivery, despite the receiver clearly stating no one had been. Requested pick up from the local depot, refused. Requested another attempt at delivery, refused. Asked if there was literally any other way to get hold of the parcel, refused. Had no email communication about any change in delivery status or notification that it was going to be returned to myself. Every-time I've contacted the live chat, the assistants have been extremely unhelpful and made no effort to solve the situation. Been told the parcel could arrive to the original address (that I no longer live in) anytime between 8-16. Ridiculous, waste of money. Dread to think what state the parcel will be in if it ever does arrive. Definitely do not use.
**update, just received an email saying the parcel has now been declared missing by the courier. No shock!

Appalling - parcel supposed to be with me by 14th of the month. It’s now 30th and it hasn’t moved

They were poor however in the end did do the right thing and return my money and credit me for the insured item. It did take me taking them to small claims court though
Terrible customer service
First off, please avoid using this company because they’ll take you around the houses to continue with a claim.
They provided us with 2 faulty labels to start which means we had to take 3 trips to get the parcel delivered. The parcel then went missing, we are 9 days in to what was supposed to be a next day delivery. Side note, parcel2go will claim that next day delivery isn’t actually next day (which we were unaware of). We began a claim as the parcel had clearly gone awol, the progress was stuck on “waiting for courier” this whole time and suddenly today we received an email that the claim was closed as we hadn’t provided any documentation?! We were not told we had to. We then opened up probably the 6th or 7th live chat so that they could reopen our claim, the rather rude woman on the live chat said that the claim was never closed, although we have proof that it was. The documentation that they require is quite frankly a lot of information that they should have themselves and I think their tactics are to entirely exhaust you until you give up and they can prevent needing to produce any kind of refund. They also seem to have very poor communication with the couriers they use which obviously ensures a terrible parcel journey.
Ultimately, it is getting very difficult to find the time to continue to have live chats with Parcel2Go and we feel really sad that the person we were sending the parcel to has been let down and is rather upset and frustrated by it.
I sent a parcel for next day delivery…
I sent a parcel for next day delivery by TNT via Parcels2go. I'm not sure who is to blame for the non-delivery, but TNT didn't want to know even though they were the designated courier. P2G is a perfect smoke screen for the courier companies to relinquish any responsibility for poor service. Beware when it says next day delivery. It is more likely that you'll be one of the '4%' that experiences non-delivery. Ultimately a marketing ploy to persuade you to buy.
Lost my package
Lost my package, 4 months pretending to look for it in a complete delay and pray tactic by used by unscrupulous companies hoping if they leave you waiting for months you will just go away. Automated responses and a dreadful insurance policy that basically covers nothing and is not fit for purpose. I will never use them again.. I hope they go bust ;)
Do not use, poor service 😕
I sent a chocolate and sweets hamper to Australia. I paid for guaranteed delivery by certain date. It was 8 days late and ruined. I spoke to online chat who kindly agreed a refund. Nothing came so I spoke again. Still nothing. Then I emailed, several times and finally got a response saying as a gesture of goodwill they would refund postage. Still nothing. Then I get an email saying they have refused my claim for damages. I had told them I couldn't claim for damages as I didn't have receipts! A most frustrating and disappointing experience. I would definitely not recommend parcel2go.

i made a mistake on postcode ,then they tell me they can`t deliver ,then tell me 14 days to return my parcel ,very unhelpful and would not use again
Hermes International lost my parcel and…
Hermes International lost my parcel and don't want to refund the content (even if I paid insurance) because apparently ceramic is on the extra-long prohibited list. I would understand if they refuse to compensate because of damage BUT they lost the package! I don't see what the type of content has anything to do with them not being able to offer the basic service I paid for!
Paying for a layer of obfiscation
P2G look to take a margin from the courier and avoid any and all responsibility. You do need to admire this model is some respects, so long as you are not a customer.
I had an old laptop smashed in transit by DHL and there is no interest in any follow-up. They fall over themselves to explain the sections of their terms and conditions absolve them of any responsibility (their terms specifically allow for negligence on their part). It would be nice to think they might expend some effort on following up with their sub-contractor on what happened to their customers goods - but alas no. While they will not follow up, I thought perhaps I would do this for them (while paying them for the service of course)
Excerpt of my chat :
Me: "Am I able to take this up with DHL? The package was heavily dented on arrival at the customer - there has to be some duty of care"
P2G: "I am afraid, not really, because you have order the delivery of that parcel with us, as parcel2go."
P"G " You can try, but I am afraid, they will send you back to us-to be very honest"
So couriers they use not only can treat goods as they see fit, knowing that there can be no direct follow up from an end customer and P2G won't bother them either as they have got their fee. Where do you think this leaves the P2G parcels in the 'better be careful with that' stakes?
They will also sell you insurance without highlighting that for selective goods - the cover will only be for loss not damage, so very limited but still charged at full rate. I am not clear how this is not misselling of insurance but it is something I will follow up. All responsibility is absolved again. There is a pattern developing.
In short, I would avoid sending anything via P2G of any value. Go direct with a courier that will give you an actual phone number to contact them when they lose/break your goods. P2G is a good concept, but there pathological disregard for your goods and refusal to follow up with what is essentially their sub-contractors is baked into their business model. If there is ANY problem, it will be yours to resolve so spend the extra time upfront finding a courier rather than hours afterwards chasing shadows.
Thieves
Thieves. Over priced insurance that they will always not pay out on or if they do offer your a third of the value of the item. Recent claim, they have asked for the same information 8 times. Dont read what you send and send stupid copy and pasty responses that are not relevant. 3 months and counting on this claIm. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

charged 66 pounds for a parcel to be posted to China, only have it collected and resend it back to me. was told the parcel contains vitamin which is stated in their company policy as prohibited items. well, I actually put Vitamin as my parcel content when making the booking , no one tells me it is prohibited then. so paid 66 pounds only to have something collected and return to my house.
