Really positive
I found it really helpful in my job search considering that the market is so scarce at the moment. Shakira and Archie really helped me with their coaching and encouragement to secure me a job which was suited to my criteria! They also continue to help you once you are placed which is really great.

Pareto interviewing process
My experience was positive because I received so much support from Pareto and continue to receive training from them through the sales apprenticeship they offer.
I had multiple touch points and check ins with different members on the pareto team which included lots of research tips and preparation for the company, role and lots of well wishes at each stage of the process. There was always another role in the pipeline after I got rejected.
My sales interview breakthrough came on my third try after Shakira helped me understand the right tech company fit for me and refine my interview preparation skills.
The pareto team were with me through the highs of getting a job and lows of multiple rejections, which often came down to me just not being the right fit. Many thanks to the Pareto team and Shakira working in Client Success.

The Best Recruitment Process I’ve Been Involved In
The whole application process was smooth and genuine from start to finish. The initial contact, preparation for the assessment day and running of the day itself gave me confidence that Pareto had the best interests of the candidates at the forefront of the whole recruitment journey. Special mentions to Zoe and Archie for the support and advice in the lead up to the assessment day and to Beth for overseeing everything. I’m very grateful to all of them for helping me to get this job!

Greatness
What made my experience great? - The down to Earth, hardworking individuals who share the same goals as you. Huge shoutout to Zoe, the Senior Client Success Manager, who handled my case. Because of Zoe’s attentive consideration, and can do attitude I was able to secure an exciting opportunity. And now, she’s one step closer in meeting her quarterly targets which is nothing shy of what she deserves. Shoutout Zoe & Pareto for the continued support!
I look forward to the future🫱🏼🫲🏽

A good waste of time
The recruiter at Pareto was all right really friendly, the process however was lengthy, I had 5 rounds of interviews in both English and German, each longer than half an hour up to an hour time, totally time consuming and the whole pep talk could just be summarized in an Email without all the unnecessary meeting, organization wise they were also lacking in some departments with meetings and so on was asked to go do the meeting in personal instead of on Ms teams last minute, drained the life of me to tell me my German wasn’t sufficient even though my first round of interviews was in German and the person put me through…..

Just avoid! Extremely unprofessional
Worst recruiter I have spoken with in a while.
I had a call with K who was extremely rude and unprofessional on the phone. If your job is to help people find jobs the least you would expect is to speak with someone with a little bit of empathy.
Recruitment is money motivated yes, but don’t make it your whole personality to the point it is so visible to candidates.
Just avoid-waste of time

6 hour assesment day to be put forward for 1 interview... then get ghosted
The main issue with this agency in smaller cities like Edinburgh is their lack of clients. They promise that passing their assessment day proves your sales ability; they'll put you forward for multiple interviews; and work tirelessly to find you a role. However, outside London or Manchester, they struggle to deliver, leaving you doing a lengthy assessment day only to be put forward for one role.
Despite claims of new opportunities arising frequently, months after an unsuccessful interview with their sole Edinburgh client, they failed to secure any further interviews. Their focus seems to be on commission; once their initial efforts are done, communication drops off completely. They are attentive when there's a chance to earn money from you but lose interest once prospects fade, showing little courtesy or follow-through.
Before committing to an assessment day, confirm that they have multiple clients in your area and be prepared for a lack of transparency. While their focus on clients' success is understandable, their habit of misleading and ghosting candidates highlights their incompetence and contributes to the negative reputation of recruitment agencies.

Very poor experience
Was invited to the Wednesday audition. Was successful. Got contacted by Pareto recruiter time and time again with opportunities. Each one failed to follow-up with more information when I said I was interested in pursuing. Churn and burn. No care for the humans they are dealing with. After getting a call from my 6th recruiter, I got some luck and was able to schedule an interview with an interested company. Nailed my interview and was invited back for a second. I was told time and time again by a recruiter that she would follow up with a time for the 2nd interview. After not receiving a call, I followed up. No answer, but I left a VM. I also sent an email in support. Nothing came back. I called again. Emailed again. Called again. All over a ten-day span. Nothing. Complete radio silence. So I reached out to the guy I interviewed with on linkedin, but he told me that everything had to go through Pareto. I was baffled, confused, and frustrated. Not only had I I put loads of time and effort into preparing for the audition with Pareto, but I put twice that into my interview. The letdown was immense and demoralizing. How Pareto is able to operate like this and get away with it is beyond me. I hope something is done. Remember, you are dealing with real humans that have to manage their lives in conjunction with getting a job. We are not robots with quotas.

Had a phone call!
Had a phone call, the lady on the phone discussed the process of how it all works and I said it sound great, she then went on to say ‘why aren’t you saying it’s amazing, but instead it’s just great’. So patronising when I had no questions. Can tell they want that commission and are forcing things in your head.

Perfect for new grads!
Pareto have been absolutely fantastic at helping me secure my first job since graduating university, even though I had no prior sales experience! Harvey was amazing at walking me through the process, and everyone else was also super friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend to any grad searching for that first job as there is so much more emphasis on your potential rather than your CV being the defining factor!

Have recently used Pareto for a graduate role. The process was very easy and secured an interview with the client company very quickly. James and Hanah were both very useful in making sure I was well equipped and informed for the interview.
My experience with Pareto
I had a positive experience securing a graduate role with Pareto. The staff were very helpful and professional. They prepared me well on what to expect and how to gear myself for success on the assessment day. In addition, they were there to answer any queries I had in a promo manner. I would recommend Pareto for all those looking to secure a graduate role.
Special thank you to Prince and Mesha for all there hard work and advice in landing me my role!
Harvey from Pareto

Only concerned about themselves, commission and ignore you after a while
The assessment centre and then finding you a job is great, however they ignore you or don’t even get back to you if they don’t see any commission coming in for them, if you are not successful in one interview they toss you away like a toy. Not received an email or anything back from two that I have been dealing with. Luckily I found a job outside of Pareto but they need to have a bit more humanity, also someone i was dealing with, I’d told I have a better opportunity for me, with something aligning my degree, and better pay, however they’d lie and say something that would make me think that their opportunity is better even though she was only concerned about the commission she was making.
