Cottage La Vita and Parker Villas made our Tuscan dream a reality!

We had an extraordinary time at Cottage La Vita in Siena! The accommodations could not have been nicer. Our host family was lovely and warmly greeted us when we arrived. Fulvio and Patrizia brought us a bottle of olive oil they had just pressed from their fall harvest and it was delicious. Andrea gave us a personal tour through the cottages and explained how everything worked. He also gave us a recommendation to a wonderful local restaurant we liked so much, we had dinner there twice. We had everything we needed in our cottages and it was all in excellent working order. The view from the villa was spectacular and we spent every afternoon on the patio in the garden sipping wine. The sights in and around Siena were incredible, from the walled cities to the cathedrals to the fall colors of the Tuscan countryside, we were in constant awe. Our Parker Villas representative was professional and knowledgeable, and took excellent care of us every step of the way. From the very first time we called the company until they checked on us during our trip, Parker Villas made sure all our questions were answered, all our concerns were addressed and we were completely satisfied with our experience. We highly recommend Parker Villas and Cottage La Vita to anyone searching for an exceptional experience in Italia!

Tuscan dream vacation at Villa Tramonto

Our stay at Villa Tramonto was the highlight of our Italy vacation. The villa is a spacious and beautifully restored family villa. From the long winding drive up to the top of the hill with panoramic views to the comfortable and spacious living room, dining room, kitchen and bedrooms (all en suite with showers and tubs to accommodate all) we made the villa our base for a week.

While it was quiet and secluded we were a short drive to nearby Sarteano, Cetona and Chiusi.

The family offered many options which we took advantage of. Having a four course dinner cooked and served on our arrival day made for a very relaxing settling in. We also scheduled a pizza dinner the night before our departure, the pizzas were delicious and plentiful. A highlight was a short drive to Mamma’s house for a fabulous cooking class where we learned how to make hand rolled pasta, focaccia and tiramisu, oh my!

Thank you for a wonderful stay at your lovely Tuscan home.

Villa Tramonto was incredibly beautiful and the perfect place to stay for our Tuscan Getaway.

We spent a week at Villa Tramonto with four other couples. Can't say enough great things about this property. The villa is perfectly located. Only ten minutes to Sarteano, but far enough out that you have privacy to enjoy the beautiful Tuscan landscape. There were large outside tables and chairs set throughout the property that allowed us to have meals or cocktails with our friends as we took in the beautiful sunsets and sunrises over miles of beautiful Tuscan landscape. The family does an ncredible job maintaining the property with beautiful flowers and shrubs all around. The villa was very spacious, had on suite bathrooms for every room, a kitchen with updated appliances, a large living room with a wood burning fire and a pool table room for the guys to hang.

However, the best selling feature of this villa is the owners. The family that owns the villa had a homemade cake waiting for us upon arrival. They were incredibly welcoming as they walked us through the house and mDe us feel as if we were part of their family. They made sure we had everything we needed. Additionally, we hired the family to cook two Italian meals for us. The food was incredible and it felt like we were sitting down to their family table.

I have and will continue to recommend this villa to my family and friends. Thanks Villa Tramonto and Parker Villas for providing the perfect backdrop for a vacation that we will never forget.

Parker Villas was awesome

Parker Villas was awesome. Kate was our contact and was ready and available to help us with everything from booking activities to a car rental. She explained everything and helped us think through logistics to make our trip amazing and smooth.

We cannot say enough about Villa Tramonto. It was absolutely beautiful and cozy, and yet had modern appliances, making it the perfect place for our larger group. We could all gather or find quiet spaces to get away. There is a terrace that is the perfect place to watch the stunning sunsets, a fireplace that is incredibly cozy and the pool table was a huge hit. But honestly, the best thing about Villa Tramonto was the owner/management. They have lovingly restored this house that has been in their family for years. They will come to the villa to cook and serve dinner and they are incredibly responsive to any requests. At 8p one night the water pump stopped working. They were there within an hour and had it fixed within a couple of hours. Better service than we often get stateside!!

Absolutely perfect place to stay and have a true Tuscany experience.

Capitano in Massa Lubrense

We spent a beautiful week sharing our 50th anniversary with life long friends also celebrating 50 years. The owner was very helpful with a wealth of information and helped us settle in comfortably to this extraordinary location. Views of Vesuvius, Naples and Capri greeted us every morning and the sunsets out did each other every night. Magical!!

Villa Capitano in Massa Lubrense Magnificant

The Capitano villa sleeps 6 and has a large fantastic patio with stunning views of Naples Bay, Naples about 15 miles across, and Mt. Vesuvius. The villa is high up on a hillside overlooking the wonderful small town of Massa Lubrense. Close to the villa is the smallest grocery store with cheeses to die for. Bring an extra suitcase to take back cheeses.

The villa, linens and furniture are very clean, modern and comfortable. There are restaurants nearby that serve fantastic local dishes. The villa has all the requirements to cook in if desired.

But the most important comfort of renting Capitano Villa is the owner-- who meets you and introduces you to the area while you enjoy local wine, mozzarella, tomatoes Italian bread and olive oil. If there are any problems or requests the owner will take care of it immediately. One member of our party said this is a most wonderful place and would be just as happy coming back to Capitano than going to any other place in Italy.

We had no idea exactly what it would be like when we rented, it sounded nice but you never know till you get there. Capitano exceeded our expectations and made our Italian vacation-- in part from the villa itself and in part from the owner's welcome.

Review of Italian Villa near Siena

The hosts were awesome! The location of the villa was a little weird, being in a commercial area, but once inside the gates you could have been in the countryside of Italy. But this was also good, as we were close to a gym, the supermarket, the train station, and all points beyond. The outer areas of the villa itself were beautifully landscaped with roses, fig trees, and pots of flowers everywhere. Our only complaint is that there was no shelving in the bathrooms or the shower, and as we stayed for three plus weeks, it became tiresome to have toiletries on the floor.

Parker Villas Excellence On Display - From Beginning to End!

It's not often that when experiencing a wonderful vacation in Italy - you also can't wait to get back to praise those responsible, and yet that was our feeling throughout our phenomenal stay at Cottage Alexa, in Radda in Chianti - all put together through the capable hands and guidance of Parker Villas.

To say that their efforts and initiatives associated with our stay were impeccably orchestrated would be an understatement - everything was brilliantly handled - from our initial meeting to explain our wants and needs when in the Chianti region to the advice afforded us by way of their years of hands-on experience

Upon arrival, Cottage Alexa, located on the estate of the Castella di Albola wine vineyards, was like something from a storybook. Built by a prince for his personal usage in the early 1700's - one is magically transported to a time and place where issues such as elections, economics and other areas deemed important - simply do not matter. The exterior of the property is magnificently manicured by on-site attendants, Paolo and Lisa, and there's quite a bit to attend to. A stunning swimming pool, olive trees, walnut trees, fig trees, surrounding lawn and acreage - all professionally monitored to provide one the feeling that you are residing on an estate that once was the property of nobility - because you are! Once inside, the interior is from another time - yet every convenience imaginable is available. The kitchen was equipped with all the tools one needed to prepare a Tuscan-styled dinner, while the living room area allowed relaxation with a glass of Chianti - which comes from the vineyard outside. Amazingly, you're promoted to utilize the cottage for much more than just your base of operations while in the region. You can relax there, whether it be by the pool or the fabulous front porch - cook there when the feeling hits you to do so, and walk the grounds whenever you wish. Most locations are simply a place to stay while you rush out and sight-see. Because of Parker Villas - we were able to experience and enjoy both sides of life while were were in Radda.

Might we also suggest allowing Parker Villas to reserv e a spot for you on the winery tour as well as having the wonderful Lisa and Angela cook you an out-of-this-world Tuscan-styled family dinner. The warmth and personality exuded by both was welcoming as you got the feeling they meant it -and not just going through the motions because it was there job to do so. And can you imagine our surprise when on Sunday morning, Paolo knocks on the front door with a basket of over 100 tomatoes of varying varieties - for us!!! While on location, you can be assured that everything will be done to make your stay one of the most memorable ever.

Moving forward, whenever I hear that someone is planning a trip to Italy, Parker Villas will be the first words they will hear from me. They were even free with their advice to other areas we were travelling to and staying at - even though we were not using them for those locations. Mario's experience is second to none and it spills over to his staff as well - both stateside and in Italy. When we return to Italy, Parker Villas will be our first phone call when in the planning stage.

Cottage Vacuna Retreat

My Husband and I booked a first time trip to Italy through Parker Villas in July 2016. We wanted a quiet "off the beaten track" location with a pool that would have some good sight seeing venues close by if we desired. Knowing it would be > 90 degrees in July, having AC for sleep at least and a pool were musts. We were delighted to stay at Cottage Vacuna at Villa Oria with the Cortese family on their Olive Grove Property in Lazio. The property was spotless, well equipped and tastefully decorated with artwork. The garden and view over the hills and hill towns was so gorgeous! We had a magnificent pool all to our selves. This was just what we wanted! We relaxed, read books, ate pasta and pizza and drank wine watching the sun set from our private garden. We took day trips to see Ancient sites at Tarquinia for Etruscan art and Roman ruins at Tivoli. It was a great area for those who want a bit of sightseeing without the huge tour buses or waiting in lines. Margie helped us find this and was careful in making sure we would be happy at this sort of property in the country. I felt very secure booking with Parker Villas because of the availability of a local Italian Speaker who could serve as an advocate if needed. (Of course it was not, needed. The property owners were so gracious and welcoming and there were no problems during the week stay.) I found that we received a terrific rental car rate booking through Parker Villas also. The GPS was given to us Free but for the overnight mailing of the unit because Parker Villas is considered a Luxury Partner of Europe Car. I would book a return trip with Parker Villas in a heartbeat. They are Italy specialists. Margie and Ruth were wonderful anytime I called or emailed with questions. It's so nice to know there were human beings I could call on with questions. The personal touch mattered. Thanks! Anne

Capitano Villa Supreme!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Capitano Villa booked through Parker Villas. The owner of the villa went out of his way to insure our stay was wonderful. The sun-swept veranda overlooking the marina below is exceptional. Many thanks for a "supreme" stay!

We loved everything about it.

We loved the entire experience, the facility was totally updated but with old world charm. Plenty of room, AC, hot water and places to sit and enjoy. The view was great and location perfect for visiting surrounding towns, Florence, Sienna, even Venice and Rome. Having the catered Italian meal was fantastic.

Only problem was Internet was difficult to use but did function.

Great experience with Parker Villas

We have come back to Parker Villas because of the great service they provide. This time for us, Margie Nelson helped us since the beginning. She made the process very easy; she helped us find the house for our vacation, had recommendations for trains and car rental and was very attentive and professional throughout the entire process.

When we got to Italy, the house was exactly what we expected, beautiful, clean, owners were extremely nice and polite, the swimming pool was immaculate and peaceful. We cannot say enough good things.

During our stay in Italy, we received a call from a Parker Villas representative to make sure everything was going well.

We will definitely call Parker Villas again for our next trip. Thank you Margie for all your help!

Security Concerns

Our group of 20 People rented 2 villa's in Tuscany from Parker Villa's in June 2016 for a 2 week vacation. The Villa's were Villa Salvucci and Villa Santa Fina. Initially , we were dealing with a representative from Parker Villa's who recommended Villa Salvucci and Santa Fina. Later on in the process we decided to consult with A different representative from Parker Billa's.Both representatives thought the Villa's were a good choice for our group. On the third day of our stay we became aware of a Home Invasion / robbery in the middle of the night . This crime occurred during our stay and took place on the same property where we were staying . We were able to confirm the break in when we questioned the Office staff at Villa Salvucci. Many of our group became deeply concerned in regard to our safety at night . Another cause for our concern is we were Not proactively notified of the break in by either Parker Villa's representatives or the owners of the Villa's. Please when traveling to Tuscany be alerted to the possibility to home invasion and take precautions as we have become aware that this was not a isolated case. In addition during the 2 weeks while staying at Villa Salvucci we had very limited internet connection ,No T.V and had a washer and dryer that did not operate properly. As per Parker Villa's policy we contacted Parker Villa to report these issue's to them. We also spoke to a local Parker Representative in regard to the problems and the security issue. Unfortunately, The Parker Rep. Was not successful in getting the property owner to have the Internet operating during our visit. We found that our Parker Rep in Italy was trying her best get things corrected however, the local management at Villa Salvucci office were less than helpful. The lack of Internet was a significant inconvenience for many of our guests. Because of the problems our group experienced Parker Villa did allow us a credit of $1000 toward our total rental ( 8%). However, if we had been made aware of the lack of Internet and potential security problem in advance by Parker Villa's our group would have choosen a different location . Michael Bennardo

Reply from Parker Villas

It is important to clarify that Michael was NOT the victim of a home invasion or robbery. The break-in he writes about occurred half a mile away at a holiday apartment complex we do not represent. We have been renting our two private villas for a decade without incidents of any kind.

For nearly a quarter of a century, Parker has earned a reputation for its private portfolio of quality homes and unparalleled customer care while in Italy. Our area manager made a personal visit to Michael during his stay after expressing displeasure with the estate's delay in addressing his concerns. Parker learned of the nearby break-in from Michael and upon hearing he was troubled, our manager's immediate reaction was to ask Michael if he wanted to be relocated to another property. The answer was No. Michael expressed how much the group was enjoying the villa and did not want to leave.

Our manager confirmed the clothes dryer did malfunction. The delay in repair was due to awaiting delivery of a part. To rectify the situation, the estate owner purchased and installed a new dryer by the start of Michael's second week. There was no problem with the washing machine and no mention of any issue with the TV.

It was verified that the villa's internet antenna had been damaged during a recent storm. The antenna was repaired. However, the service provider reset the system on two subsequent occasions due to continued overload. The description of this particular villa specifically states the property has a cellular connection suitable for checking emails and can accommodate up to two devices within 10 feet of the modem. These limitations were also reviewed at the time of booking and a written notice was mailed with the travel documents. Despite all these disclosures, multiple users in Michael's party continuously accessed the internet simultaneously for streaming movies and online gaming resulting in constant breakdowns. The villa's management offered Michael's entire party the reception office's internet and unlimited access to a printer which his party readily used.

As the month of June wore on, within a two week span a series of burglaries were reported in this locale and across neighboring counties. As it quickly became apparent this was more than an isolated incident, Parker Villas issued a Travel Safety Bulletin to guests of these areas and continues to do so. As of early July, there have been no further incidents. Local authorities report their increased presence has been an effective deterrent.

For any present and future guest concerns regarding security while abroad, we encourage you to call us with your questions. We will gladly personally review suggested precautions to take while traveling. We consider the personal security of our guests a foremost priority and for this very reason we never publish addresses or GPS coordinates online. We have urged our villa owners to install alarm systems and additional safety measures. Both villas in question are now fully alarmed.
