Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 80 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Customers frequently complained about extremely long phone wait times, unhelpful automated systems, and rude customer service agents who often disconnected calls or failed to resolve reported problems. Consumers also described receiving persistent, frustrating demands, letters, and constant phone calls regarding bills that were entirely incorrect, already paid, or completely unknown to them. Some reviewers were happy with the assistance they received, noting that polite staff members offered empathetic guidance, placed accounts safely on hold, and successfully helped set up manageable, affordable payment plans to relieve financial stress and anxiety.

Potentially the worst company I've ever…

Potentially the worst company I've ever dealt with.

Came to me with incorrect information about an old E.ON Next account. Tried to trick me into giving personal information and Continuously interrupted me. I have Swiftly reported this to the financial ombudsman.

Don't know what they're doing Kept sending me letters on behalf of…

Kept sending me letters on behalf of SSE in the form of a utility bill, even though I have been using a PAYG top up smart meter and have never had a monthly contract, only ever had a top meter from the beginning.

Called this company to resolve the situation and after transferring me to several other departments and waiting on hold each time they eventually referred me back to SSE, who also kept transferring me to different departments until eventually transferring me back to the department I spoke to in the first place.

After then explaining to several people at various departments of SSE who kept telling me that the bills were for outstanding debt from having temporary credit sent to my meter when I couldn't afford to top up.

However, the arrangement was that they would take $1 (gbp) from my meter credit each day until the debt was paid back which they HAVE been doing.

After explaining this to them they eventually told me to just keep my smart meter in credit (which is has been) and to ignore the letters because the debt is STILL being deducted from my meters balance as arranged anyway.

However, despite both companies telling me this, they are STILL sending me paper bills and the amount of debt I owe according to the latest letter has gone up, even though they said it was being paid off $1 per day.

I am confident this a scam company

I am confident this a scam company. I am getting texts, emails, calls, letters on weekly basis. For months now!!! For no reason whatsoever. I apparently owe money to Three. I rang Three every week what is going on that I’m getting harassment from Pastdue and they said I have no debt with them and to ignore the letters. Harassment at its best. You can’t get hold of them if you try to ring. The whole thing is dodgy.

Absolute scum

Absolute scum. This vile company constantly called, text and sent letters RELENTLESSLY chasing a debt for E.on, despite this debt being paid off in full. The idiotic clowns working for them could not comprehend that perhaps they were not notified by E.on, and carried on with their mission. I ended up telling them where to go as I was pushed to the end of my tether. A disgrace of a company, run by vermin.

Utility Provision Bill

I was issued a bill from a utility company from a period I was not a tenant and the utility provided was also in my daughters name and it was obvious she closed the account. Sent them tenancy agreement and new tenancy agreement for different property along with details of the owner of the property. The reply I received was "tenancy is not valid". Well of course not I moved out. Constant calls nothing was resolved. Constant emails, just resulted in one line replies and repeating myself. How anyone would employ these people is beyond me. Surely contacting the legal owner of the property first to see who was actually living at the time would make sense not sending countless letters and emails. Unless their aim is to ultimately not recover anything as these costs as pathetic recover far outweigh that of any so called debt owed!

Ignorant and Awful

Three Mobile sent a letter demanding payment to the previous owner of my home. I rang them and explained that not only had the person sold the house, but he'd actually died in January 2024. Gave Three all the contact details I had for trying to get in touch with their account holders next or kin and was assured on the phone and on social media contact that I wouldn't hear from them again. Then I received a letter Past Due Credit debt recovery agency wanting payment again. I rang them but you can't get through. Messaged Three again and ignored so far. No response from Past Due.

Absolute nightmare

Unable to pay online as it says I've not past their authentication despite authenticated on my banking app (on three different cards), can't pay over the phone as it says I'm attempting to pay too high of a balance which I'm not, states you can communicate via text but never received the text. Currently been on hold for over 30 minutes trying to speak to a human being. Nightmare.
