So disappointing. All I've done is change my phone but due to this Patient Access won't allow me to order any repeat prescriptions. I've dealt with Nick from their tech team and may as well have had a... See more

Don't waste your time with this
This has got to be one of the worst apps to have ever been made . Totally incomprehensible to use but that after if you can actually access it through it's minefield of security ,ridiculously long passwords required and now you have to down load an authentication app aswell in order to just order yor meds . No your fingerprint is not enough.Although I'm near retirement again fairly tech savy ,but how an elderly person would do this ,and let's face it they are the ones needing more drugs would manage is beyond me .
Defeated
Tried to log on to Patient Access and so frustrated. I am fairly good with apps etc but this one defeats me. Once I have put in my extracted letters of my password it wants me to down load an Authenticator app. Didn’t really want or need this app as I have facial recognition for apps I use. Needless to say I have given up. Thought I would try the nhs app but this isn’t available in Scotland. Patient Access is a hopeless app. I’ll need to phone the surgery despite previously been able to order prescriptions through the app.
Patient Access is inaccessible
Patient Access is inaccessible! Can't get further than the cookie preferences and the whole site freezes.
Wanted to update my email address, how useless this is.
The whole of government run establishments are not fit for purpose. Can't spend money sensibly or wisely - the old boy network costs us millions.
Had to change my password after years…
Had to change my password after years of using this for repeat medication quite easily. Asked for a twelve digit password. TWELVE. Its a shambles.
Patient Inaccessible
An appalling app that doesn't merit even one star. I'm nearly 80 and am no tech expert, but with the need for an authenticator app that asks me to scan a QR code when I'm already using my phone to acces Patient Acces seems ridiculous. And when I try to access the NHS app I'm told that my GP practice isn't registered. The NHS is truly broken and patients are its victims.
Now a useless app. NEEDS FIXING NOW.
Spent over an hour 2 days running trying to access this app. No way will it accept your 6 digit code. A COMPLETE AND UTTER WASTE OF TIME AND SPACE. Used to work fine before this authenticator verification app requirement was added. PLEASE, PLEASE,PLEASE can someone get it fixed.
Monday morning, billions wasted on the NHS
Monday morning, and I can't even log in, it times out. Who coded this rubbish?
A TOTALLY USELESS SYSTEM
A totally rubbish service now this extra factor authentication app has been introduced. I am reasonably computer savvy but have absolutely no clue how to download this.
I am pleased to see that hundreds of reviewers on this website have written to complain about it. It was obviously introduced by some moron with time on his hands who wanted to make life difficult for us. Presumably he is paid by the NHS for his genius.
They must have some sort of record with Trust Pilot in that of 1,050 reviews, 98% are for just 1-star.
I have written three emails to Patient Access in the last month about the Third Party Authorisation. Not one has been acknowledged or replied to. Furthermore, to underline it is a company that has no interest in its users, they make contact impossible as they do not offer or display a phone number anywhere . Should they disagree, perhaps they will respond to this report.
Can no longer log in
I have been using this app for a while to reorder prescriptions, however, for the last month I cannot access my account at all. It was asking for me to download an authenticator which I have done and set up however it will not log me in, just sends me back to the log in page. I requested support with this and received a pointless response.
The app is full of major glitches and…
The app is full of major glitches and despite trying to get them to put it right they are not interested.
Awful!
It's frightening how bad this is and we're expected to trust it with our personal data, to be safely stored!
poor design
poor design, simply does not work, god knows how elderly\less tech savvy people are expected to understand multi-factor authentication. Dreadful user experience.
Shocked
I have access to this app. I have just learnt all my conditions are inaccurate , my medical records are a joke and my care compromised. I would ask you all to check your medical records as mine are 99% wrong.
Access First Time, that would be nice
I have had to use this app for 4 or 5 years now, and I have yet to be able to gain access on the first attempt. I was told by the 'Help Team' that I was doing something wrong either when I was logging out, or when I was putting a tick in the 'Remember me' or 'Stay signed in" boxes??????????????????????. My sister, who lives 200 miles away, suffers exactly the same access problems as me. Is it really me doing something wrong? Or is it a poorly designed program? I know what I think!
SADLY THERE IS NO MINUS STAR...🔪
SADLY THERE IS NO MINUS STAR...🔪
Total shambles of a support system.
Using the NHS system now instead.
When I first installed the app it was…
When I first installed the app it was fine, user name and email address and password, plus a memorable word. So effectively 3 layers of security. However, there is now a requirement to download another authenticator app, which then allows you to copy a QR code to access a 6 digit pin. Trued numerous times and have now given up. I use apps all the time, the typical extra layer of security is usually a one time code sent to your mobile phone and / or a fingerprint. Why Patient Access has to involved another app to use their app is beyond me. This system was designed to give patients more control over their records, so they would not need to give their GPs unecessary work. It is not fit for purpose, it is not user friendly, even for someone who is very IT savvy. It needs replacing.
Paying to access medical records!!!!
Trying to sign in but I need to install a third party authenticator app which I have to pay for to do this?
What is going on with the NHS, demanding I buy something so that I can access my medical notes?
Disgraceful and the online support is non existent.
Impossible to log in.
Logging into this app is now impossible, I have never ever seen such a shambles with new security log in requirements. How this was allowed to go live beggars belief and I was in IT for over 20 years. How on earth do they expect someone with limited IT ability to use the app is beyond me. I hope there is an investigation into this. Disgraceful and I have deleted the app.
I have tried constantly to log in but…
I have tried constantly to log in but it need an authorised code I downloaded the app and entered the code but it constantly rejects it. I use a fingerprint identification but I cat use that without the stupid two two factor authentication request. Why if it makes it more difficult? I am now having to phone my GP to ask for prescriptions. What a waste if time.
Avoid at all costs
Been using this app for my father. After being okay for years it now requires multiple ID requests, passwords, etc..i am a computer savvy 59 year old and l could not get past first base. Absolute joke of an App to avoid at all costs.
