This test has opened a door to understand the cause of 5 years of debilitating illness!! Ordering is simple with timely delivery, and easy sample return process. The results come within 24 hrs after sample arrives at MicroGn Dx. The report is easy to understand, and my drs have appreciated the helpfulness! Still working with my drs to trust these results when their cultures show nothing! I’ll keep you updated with my journey as I work thru resolve with my drs now that I have these test results.

The test was simple, and the results were quick.

Shipping the kit to me was very quick. The test however is a bit pickier to use. Not sure why. The test container said 2 clicks and it’s secure but it would never click. I tightened down as secure as possible and packaged accordingly and I added extra bubble wrap for secure shipping. I called and they said it should be fine. I would have thought for the price of the test 350.00+ I was expecting a bit more ease and secure testing. I sent it off so we will see how it goes. I do hope they offer a second test kit if something goes wrong. I did everything I could on my part.

So grateful for this company. My primary care said nothing was wrong but I had symptoms that would not going away. I tested with MicroGen DX, got the results and was started on anti-biotics right away after seeing the results. I highly recommend testing to any struggling and their primary care feels nothing is wrong.

I paid $300 for a test and all I got was results I could not understand. When I asked for advice on what to do going forward, the employee who answered said she could only "explain" the results which she didn't do. I can read fine, but these terms are foreign to me. There was a doctor's name on the results and when I asked about that, the employee said that person would not be able to tell me anything past what she herself was telling me. What a joke! She said I'd have to go to my own doctor to get the results explained to me which is more money out of my pocket and I still don't have instructions on what to do going forward. How are these people still in business? Watch out!

My urologist used this service, and I reached out to MicroGEnDX when I needed other testing. It solves a mystery that has kept me under the weather for three years. The primary pathogen is not something my doctor's office could have tested for through its usual channels. I am incredibly grateful for MicroGenDX!

If it were possible to rate higher than a 5, I would do that for MicroGenDx. I have used this lab many times. Without exception the experience has been outstanding. Kit's arrive rapidly. Results are often posted within only a couple of days. No other lab I've used has such a rapid turn-around. Result reports are thorough and provide the information I need to determine treatment options. Further, every contact with customer support has been excellent. Rapid, informative, helpful and pleasant. I wish other labs were this wonderful to work with.

I love that this is available as an option for patients.
To improve usability, update the following:
- If you were going to change 1 thing, please make the labels larger so people can write their name and information legibly on the urine cup and swab tubes. It states to use permanent marker, and most permanent markers have thicker felt tips than a pen would so it makes it even harder. And I can't imagine someone who has difficulty with handwriting due to tremors or poor eyesight. And also your users might be more likely to have issues with writing on labels, as for example, those with diabetes are more susceptible to recurrent infections and are also are more susceptible to poor eyesight. So your possible user groups might be more vulnerable to having difficulty with smaller labels.
- In Instructions For Use, it states that you should wash the area around the urethra with soap and water, and then dry with a clean tissue without touching the area with hands. But during cleaning with soap and water, clarify that it is OK to touch with hands at this stage to clarify.
- The vaginal swab hurt quite a bit to insert, likely due to the soap running down and inadvertently washing off any natural lubrication from the vaginal opening. Perhaps include some sort of solution here as I'm telling you, it really REALLY hurt.
- I was hesitant to use the sharpie because it was an unsanitized sharpie, and also I wanted to keep my hands as sanitized as possible. So I had to ask my partner to get me a sharpie, otherwise I would be walking out naked because I didn't want to touch my clothes yet!
- To add to the point above, perhaps add an "items needed" list at the top so that users have everything they need at the beginning like multiple clean tissues, sharpie, soap, etc. before beginning.

I think you might need a few usability testing sessions with user groups to really help resolve some potential issues, but this is my take from a sample size of 1.

I bought the sinus key test after a ten day course of amoxicillin did not help me from a sinus infection. This test pointed me to the antibiotic I needed. I also submitted a traditional culture which had non informative results. I am so glad I bought this because I had received conflicting advice from different doctors and wasn't sure what I needed! This result made it clear. If I ever have a non healing infection I would buy this again, and really its better that you get a result like this back before starting any abx at all- I wish I had bought it earlier.

Getting my test results fast was key to then getting the medical help I needed. I really appreciate how quickly my kit was processed, and I was able to access this information through my computer so I could quickly seek the medical help I required.

Today I had the pleasure of working with Marlon Gonzalez of MicroGenDx. I never expected such a wonderful experience as I received from him. He was incredibly kind, patient, compassionate, knowledgeable, thorough. and a very good listener. I can’t say enough positives! While trying to order the sinus key test, he made the whole process easy and seamless. I actually dreaded making the call because in the past, I dealt with someone who was very rude, short and offered no favorable assistance. I decided to give it another try since my Dr really wanted me to have this test done. He told me Medicare would cover this test!! Thank you MicroGenDx for hiring such a wonderful employee! He even said he hoped the test would find the answers to helping me to feel better! Who does that?!? I took his info so that in the future, I can ask for Marlon!! Oh, and before we hung up he asked if he could help me setup a patient portal!!

Excellent service. It not only detects bacteria that gets missed in common uti tests but the results are quick.

Nobody ever called me back.

At first I was a little frustrated because the results for both semen and urine came back as an "error". The semen still reports as negative, but the urine came back positive for bacteria that hadn't been picked up on the sample provided at the doctor's office.

The results need to include a document on how to read the results. I am able to understand the "high points" of the results, but there is other information included that isn't very clear on what exactly is being reported.
