Be careful with this product…
Well for a start they could list the ingredients on this product - which judging from the smell and effect both on the stone and clothing are mostly bleach. Unfortunately although we followed the instructions and washed it off with copious amounts of water, the black spots are still there, and although it took the dirt off the stones, it seems to have carried on taking the colour out as well. (I once did furniture restoration and we were told to use bleach very sparingly to remove stain, as however much you think you have removed it, it can carry on working.) Our lovely pale pink natural Indian stone now just looks beige where we tried this product out. So now we have to do something about the rest of the patio, because of the contrast, but are very reluctant to use this product.

The product has been on the market for over 14 years. We use it every day ourselves on sandstone patios, and it does restore the natural colour. In fact, roughly 70% of our customers are using this product on Indian Sandstone. If spots remain, then re-treating will be required to ensure these spots are removed. On the label, we recommend doing a trial slab if you've not used the product before. Treat one slab until no spots remain, before proceeding with the rest of the patio. It isn't the washing off that removes the spots, it's the product's blend of ingredients. We would recommend that you start the process again by treating the worst-affected slab. Re-treating will revive the colours and remove any remaining organic growth.
If you can send a photo to info@pbsr.co.uk we can assist you in this process and advise further, ensuring your patio looks spotless by the end of the process and the patio looks like new.

It does exactly what it says on the can. Brilliant stuff but rather expensive when you have 165 square meters of Indian Sandstone paving to treat and each 4lt can covers 20 square meters.I would definitely recommend this product.

The black stop remover
The black stop remover did the job of removing the black stop. However the residual water had to run off onto the grass so causing some slight damage to the grass. Hopefully will come back in spring

Over 25 year old badly stained patio
Patio has been down for well over 25 years and was covered in dark stains and black spots. the slabs are light Marshalls Cotswold colour. 1 treatment with the cleaner as per instructions. The difference is amazing.
There were a few more stubborn stains requiring a 2nd treatment, but after this the patio looks great. I would not hesitate to recommend this cleaner and 5 stars really is not enough. Thank you.

Amazed by the results
Amazed by the results - this product really performs! 15 year old natural stone terrace rejuvenated to it's former glory! Follow the - very clear - instructions precisely, and you will be delighted. 150 year old stone threshold looks like it was installed yesterday!
Coverage warranted additional quantity ( probably 50 % more due to age and heavy staining / wear ) but worth the additional purchase for a fantastic result. Highly recommended!
