Very Underhand Practices & Almost Lost Me A Lot of Money in House Sale.
This company is the worst estate agent I’ve come across and should be investigated. Back in 2021, I’d put an offer on a house that was accepted by the seller. I indeed wanted to move quickly and as my bank needed to get access to the property for the survey, it was strangely continuously declined by Paul Bott & Co. When I called the agency on the phone about this, not only were several agents rude and not prepared to answer why access was denied, but the owner himself screamed and swore at me down the phone - telling me to ‘get the f@&£ing survey done’. I was shocked by this and checked with the bank and they confirmed dates and times they tried to gain access to the property to get this done. I went back to the agency with this evidence and they said the ‘seller will pull out because you won’t get the survey done’. I was extremely suspicious about this as a fifth attempt was made by my high st lender and again declined by Paul Bott & Co. I found this so strange. So, after further investigation, I discovered that the reason why they kept pushing back entrance to the property and acting to me like they didn’t with agressive rudeness is because they received a higher offer for the property. The owner still accepted mine, so they had no option but to bully me out, so they could get higher commission on the new offer. Please be very careful with this agency. I felt threatened.
