Adoption process Having very poor response when trying…
Having very poor response when trying to adopt an older larger dog from the RSPCA and Dogs Trust we decided to give Paw Prints to freedom a go. Initially we were guided through the process by Karen. Following all the safety checks we were assisted in adopting a larger older dog from Rumainia. Ruby ( the adopted dog) has turned out to be one of the most delightful loving dogs we ever had. I can only compliment pawprints to freedom and in particular Karen for the support throughout the process. This lady has made us and an adopted dog very happy.

I would highly recommend this charity…
I would highly recommend this charity as they all work so hard to match rescue dogs who are in desperate need of a loving home. I adopted Bunny previously known as (Blossom) in May and I found the process thorough and friendly. I have to say a massive thank-you to Anne who was my admin throughout and she was amazing! She supported me and answered any queries I had and even stayed in touch after the adoption to see how we were getting on. Have to say Thankyou to the lady who did our video home check she was lovely too. And hats off to you all as they are all volunteers who give up their time to save lives.
I fell in love with Bunny the minute she arrived, she looks like a completely different dog! She came to me all matted and couldn’t see her beautiful eyes but after grooming her you could see she had one stunning brown and one blue eye. She has come on leaps and bounds. She had separation anxiety and I’ve done a lot of training with her to overcome this. I would definitely consider adopting from pptf again in the future and wouldn’t be without her she has settled in so well within our family x

Fantastic Experience
Fantastic experience with Pawprints2Freedom. My last rescue passed away last year and I'd been watching out for another rescue. I saw my little one in need of a home and everything online about Pawprints was very positive.
I got in touch and completed the forms. I had an online assessment with Karen C who was very professional and helpful. Answered all my questions and had some great advice.
I picked up Poppy (originally from Romania) from her foster carer in February and she's settled so well.
The website had a little older dog called Maxi who needed a home so in July, Maxi joined us from Romania. Staff keep in regular contact and always available for advice or support. Poppy and Maxi are best friends and have settled in wonderfully, can't imagine life without them.
A huge thanks to everyone at Pawprints To Freedom.

A wonderful organisation
A wonderful organisation. The process of adoption was done in a friendly and professional manner, as it should be. This further ensures the best outcome for all parties involved. I have adopted 4 dogs since I joined and will continue to do so

If you are willing to have every single…
If you are willing to have every single corner of your home, incuding bathroom and coat cupboards, and garden( I am OK with garden)videoed and sent, then have a home check interview performed by someone who does not even know what name, size or temperament of dog you have applied for, then you will be fine with these. Personally I felt it extremely intrusive, even to the point of having to video a room with my recently deceased husbands belongings in, even tho I had told them I was really uncomfortable. I halted the interview process when I refused to basically make my garden a no go area for visitors. I then took a vow never to adopt again despite having rescue dogs in the past and proper attended home checks, and would purchase a dog, but then called another rescue place and asked about their home check process before expressing an interest in a dog. Even they thought PPTF process excessive when I explained where I had failed. Anyway in conclusion I shall now be adopting a dog from another charity next week, so it's a loss for PPTF, but still I get a rescue.

A brilliant experience from start to finish. We have been incredibly impressed with pawprints to freedom and the amazing work they do in helping dogs find their forever homes. We have been supported in adopting a dog from Romania every step of the way and we can’t recommend pawprints to freedom highly enough. The volunteers we have had communicating with us esp Emma are so lovely. Thank you for giving us our amazing new dog which we can’t wait to give so much love to

Couldn’t be happier with our dog
We adopted our dog a few months ago now and we couldn’t be happier with our girl! We travelled to the kennels in Nantwich to meet some of the dogs available for adoption, where we immediately fell in love with our dog, who we were able to bring home on the same day since we had already passed our home check.
Our admin, Ash, was really easy to speak to; friendly, supportive, and always quick to respond. Even after the adoption, he has continued to check in regularly to see how we’re getting on. It’s clear that the best is wanted for both the dog and adopters.
We honestly have the most amazing dog because of Pawprints which we are so thankful for. She is happy, affectionate, intelligent and so loving. We couldn’t imagine our world without her now and we couldn’t love her more❤️

Dangerous dog, charity not bothered
Bringing van loads of dogs over from a foreign country in the middle of the night. No checks done on either the dog or the applicant. What kind of charity would let an elderly woman have another large dog when she's already got one???? Turns out this 2nd dog is aggressive, reactive, has bitten 2 people, attacked other dogs, pulled the lady over numerous times. She's had a visit from the police over one incident to which she told you about. This dog is dangerous and will hurt someone. The lady just makes excuses for the dog and this so called charity has done absolutely nothing. Disgusting.

Deeply compassionate charity
Tegan and the team are truly outstanding. Their genuine care and dedication to the dogs in their care shines through in everything they do. Throughout the adoption process, Tegan’s kindness and thoughtfulness were remarkable, she consistently went above and beyond, not just for us, but for every dog and family involved. This is an honest, deeply compassionate charity that wholeheartedly prioritizes the wellbeing of their animals.
What an incredible charity
Pawprints to Freedom is an incredible rescue organization that truly cares about every dog and family they connect.
From the very first step of our adoption journey, the team made us feel supported and guided with warmth and professionalism. The process was smooth, and they took the time to understand our family’s needs, ensuring the perfect match. What stands out most is the ongoing support we received, even after bringing our new dogs home. Yes the dogs need time to decompress and settled. Yes they can be highly nervous after spending 3 days travelling. But all this is discussed before you take on a dog with numerous support documents provided from the initial email starting off your adoption.
Their dedication to both the animals and the adoptive families creates a wonderful sense of community. We’re so grateful to Pawprints to Freedom for bringing such joy and love into our lives, and we can't recommend them highly enough! So much so we have done it 3 times now!
The charity truly care for these animals and put so much effort in to finding them the best forever homes
We have had our pup for a couple of months now and she has settled in so well. Our admin Ash has been amazing. He has been so supportive throughout the process and shown a genuine interest in our pup’s progress, regularly checking in with us since her arrival.
When our pup arrived she’d had some complications with her spay and needed urgent medical care. It was late at night and Ash and the charity were amazing, answering our calls and organising an urgent vet visit for us and helping us get her the medicine and care that she needed.
The charity and their volunteers truly care for these animals and finding them their forever homes. We are so grateful to Pawprints to Freedom for helping us find our new family member and would recommended them to anyone looking to rescue.
Couldn’t fault them
Adopting from Pawprints to Freedom has been the most seamless process we’ve been through. From putting in an application to collection day, the staff at PPTF were extremely helpful and insightful.
A massive thank you to our admin, Ash, we couldn’t have got through it without your support, advice, compassion and dedication.
We are forever grateful to all the staff at Pawprints to Freedom for all their hardwork and dedication, and for believing in the dogs, giving them a chance at a new start. You’ve made our little family complete and we can’t thank you enough for all the support and quick responses❤️

Second Adoption – Just as Amazing as the First!
This is my second time adopting through Pawprints2freedom, and once again, the experience was absolutely fantastic from start to finish.
My most recent adoption was Shep, who came directly from Romania. My first dog came from their kennels in Cheshire, and both experiences have been nothing short of exceptional.
My admin, Ash, was incredibly efficient, making the whole process quick, smooth, and informative. I always felt supported and well-guided. The home check with Judith was not only thorough but also warm and friendly, which made the whole experience even more reassuring.
The transport team bringing Shep over were incredible, keeping me updated throughout the night and clearly prioritising the dogs’ welfare every step of the way. It was so comforting to know he was in such safe and caring hands.
What really sets Pawprints2freedom apart is their genuine passion for dog welfare. They also offer brilliant aftercare support, including access to a professional behaviourist team should you ever need help settling your new companion in.
Truly a five-star service in every sense, compassionate, well-organised, and deeply committed to the dogs' wellbeing. I can’t recommend them highly enough!
The most wonderful charity
We adopted our beautiful Flora (was Primrose) in March this year.
Extremely positive adoption process and we were totally supported by Ash, our rescue admin. The charity offer support and advice and continue to follow up with messages and checking up that all is well months after adoption.
Clear guidelines for a smooth transitional period for the dog given and all very wise (must add that Flora decided she didn't want a decompression period but wanted to be with our older laid-back rescue dog, Bella ) from the onset. They are the best of pals now.
I am sure we will adopt again in the future and will definitely go with this wonderful charity.
Great Rescue Charity
We adopted our dog Winnie through PP2F back in March, and I want to focus this review on the adoption experience rather than Winnie herself as every dog is different so reviewing her won’t tell you much. (She is great though!).
From the very start, the process was excellent. Ash, our main point of contact, was incredibly helpful, clear, and communicative throughout. He took the time to understand our needs and helped ensure we were matched with a dog who would be a good fit for us and our lifestyle. The adoption process is very detailed because PP2F is committed to making sure each dog ends up in the right home, and it really shows.
Despite being a volunteer run organisation, the team was impressively quick, efficient, and dedicated. We were given plenty of documentation to help us prepare, and Ash was always happy to answer our (many) questions with patience and kindness.
Toni, who carried out our home check, was an absolute pleasure. She was warm, approachable, and full of helpful advice.
The handover was arranged with our comfort in mind, giving us a long walk with Winnie and Ash and his partner there the whole time. It gave us the time and space to get to know Winnie before bringing her home. Even after the adoption, the team stayed in touch to offer support and check in on how things were going, which has been so appreciated.
Overall, I can’t recommend PP2F highly enough. The care, thoughtfulness, and dedication they put into matching dogs with the right families is truly impressive. I’ve would absolutely recommend them to friends and anyone looking to adopt in the future.
A trustworthy and dependable charity
The dedication of the volunteers assigned to our case impressed us. We felt that the charity was very professionally run and should we be unlucky enough for the adoption to fail that they would help us out asap.
First time fosterer for PPTF
First time fosterer for PPTF. I had an excellent experience, being kept informed every step of the way. It takes a lot of organising and many volunteers give their time to save many dogs' lives. It's early days and my foster is decompressing after the long trip. She will hopefully find a loving home after the trauma's experienced in the awful Romanian shelters where she otherwise faced certain death.
