Looking at 58 reviews, reviewers overwhelmingly had a great experience with this company. Customers consistently praise the staff and volunteers for their exceptional helpfulness, professionalism, and dedication throughout the adoption journey. People found the entire process, from application to collection, to be thorough, smooth, and well-organized, ensuring dogs are matched with suitable homes. The organization's deep commitment to animal welfare and the continuous support provided even after adoption are frequently highlighted by grateful consumers. However, some people mentioned dissatisfaction with the home check process, finding it overly intrusive, particularly regarding requests for videos of private areas within their homes. Pawprints to Freedom lead the way

From completing the application form to welcoming our rescue from Romania. We couldn't have asked for a better service. Once our application was approved, we were assigned an Administrator who took us step by step through the whole process and was available 24/7 to answer those questions that pop into your head in the middle of the night. Our dog is beautiful and settling in well. We are following all the advice and guidance for a smooth transition for all of us. It is so reassuring to know that our Administrator will be with us for the remainder of our dogs lifetime to help us with any behavioural issues, health concerns etc and if for any reason we are no longer able to take care of him, he will return to the charity to be fostered or adopted. Thank you to everyone who volunteers their time, energy and expertise to help these helpless animals. We are so grateful and privileged to be the proud adopters of our Romanian rescue. The whole process took just under 8 weeks and our dog arrived, neutered, vaccinated, flea'd and wormed with a passport to travel across Europe and all documentation required. All sorted by the charity. All we had to do was pay £400 for the adoption fee, register him with a local Vet and take out pet insurance, along with lots of food, toys, leads and beds to make him feel at home. If you are thinking about adopting or fostering a pet, please take a look at Pawprints to Freedom. They will take all the strain off your shoulders.

Dog Fosterer.

To begin with I followed the Facebook page for a while and could clearly see how the team worked hard to help all dogs and never seem to forget the ones still waiting. I then decided to foster and filled out a thorough application form which was easy to follow, a homecheck which was virtual and the lady was lovelyand helpful. I then had a team member dedicated to helping me find the right dog (special mention to Tina) who was with me throughout the process. I opted for a dog on her recommendation, I followed along the dogs journey directly to my home. The information pack to help the dog settle was useful and it helped the dog settle well. The dog herself was honestly the best dog! I can't believe how well she fit into our household. She was clearly well loved in the kennels in Romania. I would have been a foster fail if I didn't continue to follow the Facebook page and wish to help more. When it came for my lovely foster to move on the support from staff and other adopters was amazing. As soon as she was in her new home and although i was very teary I asked for the next foster to help straight away which again I've been kept up to date with information about and my foster is due in the next few days. Thank you to the Pawprints team for allowing me to help your dogs, anyone hesitant to go through the rescue route I couldn't recommend Pawprints To Freedom Rescue enough.

Great at matching a dog to your needs

I adopted a dog through PPTF and they really are true dog lovers. The dog and any resident pets are their sole priority. The process was very thorough and initially I thought perhaps a little long but once we got into it I realised it was all to make sure we got the best match for the dog and us and it made total sense. We have 2 cats already so we had videos of cat testing to show us rather than just tell us suitability. Our admin helped us find the perfect dog and as I type this she is laid next to me with one of the cats. Thankyou PPTF for looking after our girl and making sure she was coming to the right home. At the end of the day that's what's most important!

Incredible rescue charity. Can't recommend enough

My husband and I came across Pawprints after tirelessly searching for a rescue dog to join our home. Due to the fact we also have cats and we both have jobs, we struggled to find a suitable dog with some of the bigger, well known rescues.

Pawprints were absolutely amazing, they took the time to understand our home life and daily routine so we were able to matched with the right dog.

We adopted Rue from Pawprints in March 2022 and she is honestly the best thing we ever did. The support we had from Pawprints was fantastic and I was impressed by how thorough the homecheck process was.
They really care about their dogs and want to ensure the dogs are placed in the best possible homes.
The volunteers we dealt with were so friendly and very knowledgeable.

I cannot recommend Pawprints 2 Freedom enough. The work they do is incredible, not just in rehoming dogs, but the work they do in Romania to tackle the stray dog problem in an ethical and compassionate manner.

Pawprints To Freedom literally changed our lives 😊

Our Wonderful Experience adopting our 2 Romanian rescues

We adopted our dog in February of this year, all the way from Romania. I was so impressed by how it was all handled. The home check, the admin etc. we were put on a group chat with others whose dogs were on the same transport as ours. We had step by step information on where they were, once in UK. It worked like clockwork. We were so happy, that we adopted another dog in July. Was the same with her. Fantastic assistance. They both arrived happy, in good health and confident. A big thank you PPFT. 💙💗

I volunteer for this rescue

I volunteer for this rescue. They do amazing work saving so many dogs. It’s run completely by volunteers who just want to save these dogs from living in awful devastating conditions. Many are from Romania where they are considered vermin. PPTF also help rehome pound dogs that are due to be euthanised. Yes they are fussy about adopters suitability but these dogs have had a really hard start in life and finding the best forever homes for these poor souls is by far the most important aspect when choosing a foster or forever home.

All of the people giving bad review don’t know what a responsible dog rehoming charity looks like

All of the people giving bad reviews do not understand how thorough a RESPONSIBLE dog rescue charity needs to be.

We adopted our Lucy from Pawprints. And yes, the process is thorough and yes, the homecheck is 1-1.5hrs long, but they do all of this to make sure they understand the potential adopter and are able to match them to the right dog. And the result for us was amazing. We adore our dog and she rescued us more that the reverse.

This is the most thoughtful, responsible dog rehoming charity you could wish for. They will decline applicants overall and they will tell an applicant that the dog they thought was super cute is not the right fit for them. This is what responsible charities do. But clearly there are people who are so entitled that they think that just because they want dog they should have the dog. It doesn’t work that way!

A dog rescue with a difference

Easy to view the available dogs, great detail and accurate information provided to us throughout. Both Faith (initial contact) & Jane (completed our homecheck with us) were superb and knowledgeable. They set realistic timescales with us and kept us informed as we progressed through the process. As they are volunteers the contact we had was amazing. The process was thorough and questions were asked which showed the integrity of the organisation. Our experience so far as a new foster has been second to none as any questions asked before, during and after receiving our dog have been accurately and promptly answered. The aftercare and support is an unexpected bonus. We collected our dog from Nantwich and met some more of the amazing volunteers. These guys really care about the dogs and do everything possible to set you up for success, not failure. Highly recommend.

Very professional

Very professional, caring and responsible charity. I adopted a dog from them in May and the whole process was very clearly mapped out. They did a full check and me and my partner to make sure we were suitable to adopt a dog and they made sure the dog we wanted was the best match for us.

Amazing Volunteers & Dogs Most Definitely The Priority

I fostered two dogs through this charity at the very end of last year, one who went to their forever home in March and the other who we couldn’t part with. The volunteers are amazing and nothing is too much effort despite the obvious pressure they are under. Above all it is very clear, the dogs safety and happiness are the priority which surely is the point. Will definitely be fostering again in the future.

Tried to adopt a female staffie

Tried to adopt a female staffie. Gave them all of the info about myself and circumstances. They fastracked a homecheck and I passed. Then they told me I couldn't have the dog because I have a 16 year old Yorkshire terrier who's not neutered so they wouldnt place a female dog with me who they couldnt verify had been spayed. So then I saw another dog. They confirmed this dog was spayed and ideal for me but then ignored me.I wasted almost one week with this rescue despite offering sollutions to their concerns. It would seem they would rather have a dog put to sleep than risk it getting pregnant by my 16 year old yorkie who would need a pair of steps or a ladder to mate with the dog I wanted to save. So stressful. No commonsense or logic. Avoid at all costs.

I applied to adopt a dog

I applied to adopt a dog. Filled in the application. Had a 2.5 hour virtual home visit/ interview which asked me some of the same questions that were on the application. Answered them again. Made videos requested by them showing the same things I showed on the virtual home visit. I got an email saying they hadn’t reached a decision and needed answers to the following questions (which I’d already answered at least twice). Plus asked about my foster children- which I don’t have and never have had. I gave up 🫤

The worst dog adoption place ever…

The worst dog adoption place I’ve ever experienced. Volunteers lie and mess you about and then stop you from giving a dog a wonderful and spoilt loving home with another rescue, because you complain about how you are being treated. Even my child was shocked at how unprofessional people were and the lies told. Think the local paper should read my messages from here to see the stories that get told. Shocking experience. I will no longer be donating anything here ever again after how I’ve been treated.

I adopted my beautiful girl from this…

I adopted my beautiful girl from this amazing charity almost 4 years ago. I found it really difficult when it came to choosing which dog to adopt, as there are so many that are desperate for a good, loving and caring home. A home where they could call it their own.
The whole adoption process from start to finish was seamless, a volunteer was always there (even now, after all this time) to guide you with anything at all. And everything is always done in the best interest of the dog, no matter what.
I would definitely adopt another dog when the time is right.
And the volunteers work tirelessly, just so they can save a life! All I know is that I am so grateful to them!

The dogs come first. ❤️

We adopted a dog from this charity in 2020 and it has been such a rewarding journey. We are currently in the process of adopting a second dog through them and it is so thorough and obvious that the volunteers and workers care so much about the dogs and have their well-being as first priority. I take my hat off to them all for the work that they do.

Love this rescue

We have adopted 2 dogs from here just 2 months apart. They have been amazing with helping us through the process and choosing dogs that suit our family and each other. I've always had uk rescue dogs before but my experience with this charity has been so much better. They welcome updates and have a separate Facebook group for adopters and fosters to share stories etc so that their main page can highlight the dogs still in need of homes. They work with the dogs to get them used to leads and try to provide as much insight as they can into what they're going to be like in a home.

I now have two dogs from this amazing…

I now have two dogs from this amazing Charity. One is Artie, who is a final foster. They nursed this poor old boy back to health and once fit for travel, he came to me. My other dog, Spud, came over 3wks ago and unfortunately during transport, developed a health problem. They have been amazingly supportive and are covering vets bills. I know there is someone on the end of the line if a problem occurs and that they will bend over backwards to ensure that issues are solved. They are amazing and I am proud to be able to support them
