Best decision ever!!
I signed up for the programme before I picked Bodhi up when he was nine weeks old. It was absolutely the best move I could have made. The online course is great but the best bits are the weekly zoom meetings and the termly in person sessions when one of the PAWs teams (Rachel) comes into school to work with us. I cannot believe how much she knows and how well she teaches us - thanks to her I understand Bodhi so much better and he is going to be an incredible therapy dog. I would not want to be doing this without them and have already recommended the programme to another head teacher who was thinking of going it alone.
Very supportive, no pressure
I signed up when Chester was 3 months old. Everything is explained so well and everyone involved with paws has been kind and supportive. I have unfortunately not been able to continue with the training for a while due to lots of things happening but I have not felt at all pressured to start up again, although the support has been there when I have checked in. I'm really looking forward to starting again.
Super Supportive PAWS
I cannot fault PAWS. I started the course a few years ago, but then "life" unfortunately got in the way when my Mum became seriously ill and sadly passed away. There was no pressure to complete modules, in fact it was the opposite, I was actively encouraged to take a break and come back to the course when my "head was right".
I am back now & absolutely loving it again, and building an amazing relationship with my dog, Willow.
All of the tutors/assessors are extremely supportive (especially as I am also Neurodivergent) and explain everything in such a way that I don't feel stupid when I say I don't understand.
Really looking forward to completing the course and seeing where the journey takes me xx
Positive based training with highly knowledgeable mentors
Very supportive and highly knowledgeable. The mentors show a high level of care and there is ongoing support. Positive based training, that also considers the dogs needs and the reason behind behaviours. Training is fun and engaging. The online community is so supportive.
I recently joined the programme a few…
I recently joined the programme a few months back and it has been the most amazing experience, everything is at your pace and there is no pressure, weekly live sessions, 1-2-1 zoom calls fortnightly, your own account to communicate with your mentor and lots more I 100% recommend
Having recently started the school…
Having recently started the school program I am very pleased with how things are going so far. Myself and my pup Vinnie are throughly enjoying the whole experience as are the students in the school. Vinnie is attending school twice a week and already is a huge success. We know we have a long way to go yet but the support available from PAWS is second to none. They offered weekly zoom meetings and are always an email away if needed. The course is easy to access and allows you to go at your own pace.
Best decision to join!
Joining this programme was the best decision I made for a long while. Everyone at PAWS is fantastic and it feels like a family! My dog now supports me with so much. Everything is taken at your own pace with no pressure, and the support from the mentors is fabulous. I can't fault them! A* from Oscar and me!
Would recommend 100%
I joined paws as I was on a waiting list for over a year and half with another company. Paws was very welcoming we have 4 sessions a week and a live lesson lesson. If I need any help I can post on the facebook group or my personal page through paws and one of the mentors will get in touch with you. 1-1s are very useful, you find through the Facebook group there is many other people who have the same problem and the paws community helps each other. I have learnt a lot of new skills and me and my pup are better for it, I feel like I’m getting on with the task well. This program is changing my life in many aspects I can do anything with my pup by my side now I can start to face the world.
Over all I would recommend paws to anyone it will change your life!
Almost a year into PAWS School Therapy…
Almost a year into PAWS School Therapy Dog training and can’t recommend highly enough. Introducing Halle, my cockerpoo, has had significant impact on children’s well-being and attendance, and the children have called her their SATs support dog, reading dog and best fielder in y3 cricket lessons.
Halle's presence on the gate in the morning alone would make the PAWS training worthwhile - getting our reluctant into school with a stroke and a smile is game-changing.
PAWs assistance dog training amazing
Absolutely amazing. High quality training broken into 3 assessments when you feel ready. 4 days a week zoom meetings to guide you through with process with mentees and peer support. Absolutely amazing staff that know first hand what it means to have a high quality Assistance Dog.
Highly recommended.
Great course
Slowly working my way through the course with my BMD’s. Supervision sessions are great, and the course is easy to follow. Students really enjoy spending time with the dogs too
Amazing
The most knowledgeable, supportive, proactive group of people I’ve met within the dog community. Their training, mentor advice & care, group support, professionalism and community atmosphere is beyond anything I’ve ever encountered. PAWS have given me hope for my & Blossom’s future. Thank you. 💞☮️🐾🌸
Incredible organisation
Paws have been instrumental in achieving more independence for me as a disabled adult. I feel empowered and equipped with plenty of tools to cope with new challenges as and when they appear. I am only a message away from support and feedback, and never feel judged.
PAWS Training One Month In
Boogie and I have only recently started our PAWS Certificate Training. I'm thoroughly enjoying my homework on video with reinforced by excellent notes. It has informative theory and excellent training techniques that are shown in bite size - pardon the pun - easy to follow methods. Boogie loves her short training sessions too always willing to please. There a super support network in place where you meet other teams at various stages and receive comprehensive supervisory support. It's a win win for us both.
Copper
Myself and Copper have been on the training for two years now and are taking it at our own pace. PAWS have been amazing . Always there when you need a question answered. A real good community where we all get to talk to each other and offer advice. The supervisions getting to meet our mentors. The team are with you every step of the way . No question is too small or silly ,all are answered. From what harness to loose lead walking it's all there . It has been an amazing journey for myself and Copper. We've grown as a team and have learnt from each other. He has proven to be a hit at School . The children love him and being around him. From the children who love dogs to the ones who are afraid. Now they welcome him with open arms ,strokes plenty of treats ,games and love. It really has been an adventure from start to finish. Also a privilege to be able to offer such a fabulous service in a therapy dog. It sure is an amazing feeling to see children's lives and views change. How a therapy dog can make such a difference to a child's life.
Paws has really help me and my dog Charlie
Paws has really help me and my dog Charlie due anxiety I count go out the house unless my mum came and at the age of 18 it was awkward to spend time with my friends cause I wount leave my mum side since being with paws I have learnt lots of helpful tips to keep me safe I refuse to listen to camhs tools I I tryed all the self harm methods to help me stop and only paws one has helped when I get anxious i not aware of my body and I zone out Charlie now interrupt and then I’m able focus on him.

Love the training 🐾
I’ve recently started the PAWS therapy dog training with my puppy Scooch. I absolutely love content so far and feel I have learnt so much already. The support that you get on the program from the team is excellent. It’s such an exciting journey to be a part of!
Highly recommend
Elsie and I have been with Paws for a few months now and having an amazing experience so far as we work towards being an assistance dog team. The mentors are very friendly, understanding and supportive as well as the community as a whole! There is no judgement, just positivity and help where needed!
I am only at the beginning of my PAWS…
I am only at the beginning of my PAWS journey. I was very nervous about beginning this journey. In the 2 weeks since I joined the Mentors have been so friendly and welcoming. They didn’t dismiss my worries or questions (and there have been a lot already) and the members of the Facebook Group have been fantastic.
As a non tech person I was worried about the online learning as well. No need to be. I did as suggested and added the link for the modules to my favourites in my phone, son downloaded the app and my Padlet.
I know the journey is going to be long but knowing there is support available is like having an extra blanket to cuddle up to.
