Just wanted to say PayPal is the worst money transfer site I have ever used. After a good history, no, excellent history with them, where they even forced a refund when I bought pirate software accide... See more

Brilliant consumer protection - unless you're really stuck!
I've switched from a credit card to debit card with Paypal - the consumer protection is excellent, and the Paypal team usually seem to be able to get to the bottom of any of my concerns. But this time around, I have sent several messages, and no follow-up to a payment problem. Disappointed.
Robbery
My account was charged for something I never bought.
Tried to phone to get an answer. I gave up after about 10 minutes without actually speaking with a human.
I sent an e-mail query 3-4 months ago. You guessed it. I'm still waiting for a reply but I won't hold my breath. Not even am acknowledgement of my e-mail.
Robbery.
Buyer using stolen card
Somebody bought my ebay item and paid through paypal a total of £200. 7 weeks later paypal then give me a negative balance of £200 from this transaction stating that the card which the buyer used was stolen so they need to recover the money.
Why should I have to pay the £200 when they're the company who's accepted a stolen card into their system, also why has it taken 7 weeks for them to realise this.
When ringing them you go through to an automated service which takes literally 10 minutes to get out of, and then the customer service have no explanation for the events. All they say is 'you should have remembered your tracking info.' I keep all tracking info for about a month and only send it to the buyer on request, I wouldn't expect there to be any problems 7 weeks down the line.
PayPal's unregulated and I will not pay back the money, the consideration was in the past therefor they have no leg to stand on, take me to court!
robbery in your own home!
this paypal company is robbery in your own home, they get hold of your account details and charge small amounts of money every day- 79.99usd, 39.99usd, to nothing you have bought or ordered or companies that exist, stay away!!! it is now 336.88usd and now I stopped the visa card as you only get the speak with the harshest fake mid west Virginia accent to paul, john and peter-`` ma hans ar tieeed`` as if? stay away for your own financial safety!
Paypal customer service
Paypal have a database error that assigns incorrect account details and address of recipients that means you need to check Payment info with seller prior to paying with Paypal or your money could go to someone else entirely, or your items sent to the wrong person once you have paid for them.
You need to check the recipients before Paying or you could be waiting up to 5 days for your refund, after you discover the error.
Paypal keep refusing to admit they have a problem in their database or processing system. You will spend much time arguing they are the problem as they will give you every excuse under the sun, and even bad mouth (lie) that you or the other party made specific errors that caused the issue (different story every time you call customer service).
When Paypal works it works well. When it doesn't their true colours shine (they lie and accuse every one else but themselves).
