P cloud automatic backup is not automatic at all. Lies, lies, lies. P-Cloud has not backed up my files for more than one year now. Wrote to customer service, no reply. Unfortunately I had just renewed in October. what a ripoff! I trusted them when I should not have trusted them as they are completely unreliable except for stealing your money. Stay away as far as the east is from the west. Do not ever use this worthless product.

I would highly recommend pCloud. I had several issues with my account and the support team (Chris in particular) always assisted me with my constant requests for support. I couldn't recommend them enough.

I was lured by the price but you are better off paying 3X the price w/ Dropbox. This is not a reliable app. It constantly crashes my mac. Support is not helpful. I made the mistake of paying for a year so stuck with it but I have literally spent the last half hour trying to get this garbage app to work without crashing my mac.
maybe it works better on a PC but if you are on a mac, do yourself a favor and stay away.

I used to like it, however email confirmation needed for verification to access account may not arrive or arrive very late. So this could waste your time. Customer service is stated as 24 to 48 hours which is very slow if the chat box auto help is not sufficient. Data storage seems to be in US by default and there is a high charge to move it to European servers.

I've been a happy pCloud user as long as my PC ran Windows 10. Boy, did I sit on a ticking time bomb! After upgrading my PC's OS to Windows 11 I reinstalled pCloud app, of course. To make long story short, due to an apparent bug in the app I have lost almost 400 GB of my personal photos and videos, not only on the pCloud server - the desktop app has mirrored these losses by irreversibly ERASING all originals on my LOCAL hard drive!!
Their support personnel was less than helpful and resorted to gaslighting instead of helping. They absolutely insisted on a previously unknown (to me) fact: the pCloud's "Backup" feature is a "two-way process"! In other words, they turned the usual on-line one-way backup process (local changes are reflected on the server) on its head by mirroring changes BOTH ways. It means that if any misfortune happening on their server (bugs, hacking, etc.) may result in a loss of your original files. Its very dangerous, if you ask me.
Added after pCloud's "response": Yeah, supposedly "difficult to lose files" and yet your app has done it quite easily. Here is the support reference #1287257, take a look. Would you mind addressing your reckless "two-way Backup process"? So that any changes on your server affect local originals? No? What a shame. Your support representative was so "nice" that I closed my pCloud account.
Added after second "response": Yeah, you "can't find the account" because I closed it! Duh. See above. But support case #1287257 must still exist in your records - check it. And once again answer this simple question: Why do any changes on pCloud server, including deletion, affect originals on the local PC?
Third time is a charm. :) Finally, pCloud has offered a real response in lieu of BS-ing. Let me clarify a few things: The app was depositing the backup files into "Backups/DESKTOP-DIPKHS0/Pictures (1)", that 's true, but it ALSO deposited their DUPLICATES into the server's root folder named "My pCloud". Why do I say "duplicates"? It was apparent - the server's usage jumped from 388.5 GB to 777 GB. Thus, after I removed the apparent duplicates from "My pCloud" the app actually removed EVERYTHING, including the originals! Either the usage measure was misleading, or the duplicates in "My pCloud" were linked with the copies in "Backups/DESKTOP-DIPKHS0/Pictures (1)". In any case, the real culprit here is pCloud's reckless "two-way backup", so thank you for admitting it. If someone wants two-way sync then that's what the "Sync" feature is for.

Why of why did I pay for a full year as I could have tested their services for just one month to test. I was probably fooled by the Swiss side of the company as I am also in Switzerland...
Nothing works as it should :
- uploads are taking forever
- managing files and folders from the web interface is a nightmare (when you want to delete a folder this is random)
- the network drive don't automatically mount on mac restart (I am still waiting for the support to answer me - apparently they are as slow as their app)
- the mac app is awfully slow, every time you click on a menu item the spinning wheel appears although I have a good machine (macbook pro m4 Pro with 48 gb of memory)
I'll try to ask for a refund and cancel my account.
Reply to pCloud : I have send an e-mail yesterday about the refund request, I am just waiting an answer from your support services.

So far, I’m quite happy with pCloud. It’s easy to use, and the backup feature works well for new photos. The only reason I’m giving it 3 stars right now is that when I turned on automatic backup, it didn’t upload the photos that were already on my phone.
That said, everything else has been smooth — my monthly payments go through without a problem, and new photos are backed up right away.
I’ll probably change this to 4 or even 5 stars once I’ve used it a bit longer and seen how it handles things over time.

I tried Pcloud but the first thing I got was a pop up with promo which keeps popping up on my desktop and can't put off on my computer. No other app gives a pop up only Pcloud. If you like to get to get agressive promo's try Pcloud, if not stay away from this company.

I’ve been a pCloud customer for a while, but every single month I get the same payment failure message saying there was an “UNEXPECTED SYSTEM ERROR.” Their system simply cannot process recurring monthly payments reliably, and I have to go in and pay manually each time.
Support has not fixed this issue, and it’s been going on for months. For a company selling cloud storage, this is completely unacceptable. I like the product itself, but the billing experience is broken and frustrating. Until they provide a working, reliable payment solution, I can’t recommend pCloud to anyone.

At first, I had to wait a little while for the support team to respond, but once they did, everything went smoothly. They were quick, helpful, and solved my issue right away. The most important thing is: don’t mess things up — and you probably won’t need to contact support at all. 😉
Thanks a lot! :)

I have been a customer of pCloud for several years, with the lifetime deal, and they have been great until now. Over the past few months their service is constantly going down, making it impossible for me to be able to access my files. Likewise, it is also impossible to get through to customer support to find out what the issues are. The support "chat" on the website is a stupid AI bot that can't answer any questions, so you end up having to send an email to the support team and it is often days before they will even respond.
Edit: In response to the reply, I have sent a message to support and still have not received a response.

Bought lifetime storage then lost all of my historic files after a number of years - literally thousands of files vanished, all the folders remained. Raised with pCloud helpdesk and received a generic response, the issue is still unresolved. DO NOT USE!

Folders empty, data lost. Unable to login offsite without the autosync being authorized. Autosync removed data that had been saved as a separate back up. Zero support for the program

I have been using pCloud on Mac and Windows for some time now.
At first, the program kept freezing on Mac and wouldn't start. After uninstalling and downgrading to another version and performing the appropriate update, everything is now working perfectly. There are no problems on Windows!
Great integration into the operating system, runs faster than icedrive, sync.com, etc. For lifetime customers, by far the best provider.
Above all, perfect interaction between Windows and Mac.

Update 24.09.2025: I was contacted by the support team from pcloud yesterday and provided the information they required. When I checked my pcloud account today in the morning it was working properly again. Since I didn't change anything I assume the problem was pcloud related. I fully understand that failure may happen and will probably do so again. But I would like to get an response from the support team more timely. Thank you in advance for your understanding.
Answer to support: Dear Support team, I never got an e-mail response from your support team although I contacted you via your webpages as well as send an e-mail direct to your support. I won't share my e-mail that is linked to my pcloud account here on trustpilot. I kindly ask that you reply to my e-mail. If you need additional information don't hesitate to ask. I will share anything that will help to resolve the issue.
Thanks in advance.
Btw: 2 weeks ago it was working fine and I didn't change anything since than (no update on my OS, nothing).

My Experience with pCloud:
I am more than satisfied with pCloud’s performance, features, and customer support. Everything has been working flawlessly for me so far. As a Mac user, there were a few tricks at the beginning, but the support team has always helped me reliably via email – usually within 1–2 days. I honestly couldn’t wish for better support.
The pricing and discounts are also excellent, especially considering that other providers easily charge €10–15 per month for just 1 TB. For me, pCloud offers an outstanding overall package that I can wholeheartedly recommend.

Stay away from these amateurs. Zero support. If you run into problems—and you will as the software is very buggy—you won’t get any help. At least that’s what happened to me.

pCloud is a seriously BAD product.
Most of the time you try to login, you can't because there is some technical problem. An unexpected error occurs, or the login code is not sent properly to your email address.
If I could invoice pCloud for the time I've spend re-installing the application, login attempts and so on, they would be bankrupt.
This is NOT a reliable and safe product at all. You will be cut off from your data and lose a lot of time trying to fix their low-quality work.
Reply to bad product company:
I am pretty sure that you will be able to get this review removed by moving the goalposts of what entitles customers to leave behind a review, such as by demanding all kinds of 'special numbers' and so on. If you give enough money to Trustpilot, they will gladly remove all bad reviews for you, which is their business model.
But don't worry. After you've done that, I will just give you another bad review, so you might as well not even try to have this one removed. The goal is to inform other consumers about which company they should and should not trust with their data. If you try to go to war with me over having a legitimate and justified review removed, you will regret it. Bye.
