Pearl Lemon is a textbook example of overpromising and underdelivering.

They sell confidence, authority, and expertise at the beginning — led by their CEO — and then vanish once payment is made. When problems arise, leadership refuses to engage and pushes clients onto underqualified account managers who lack both strategic understanding and executional skill.

Our experience consisted of missed promises, constant postponements, and an endless stream of documents that led nowhere. No results. No accountability. No ownership.

When we attempted to reset the engagement and asked for a clear timeline and deliverables, we received a plan with no dates, no clarity, and no commitment — a clear sign that nothing was going to change.

Their work didn’t just fail to help — it caused damage, including issues to our website backend that we had to repair ourselves.

Despite all of this, Pearl Lemon refused to accept responsibility or issue a refund.

This is not a values-driven company. Client satisfaction is not a priority. Once the sale is closed, you are on your own.

Working with Pearl Lemon was one of the worst professional decisions we’ve made, and I would not recommend them to anyone.

Tax and books done

Had a great experience working with the team, super easy to communicate with and fast at responding to any questions.

They know how to make it smooth and allows you to focus on what you are best at without worrying about the boring stuff.

We were looking for a reliable accounting service for some time and then we came across Pearl Lemon.

From the start everything was great, very good communication, easy on-boarding process and delivered everything as promised.

Been working with Pearl Lemon for a while now and honestly they’ve been great with the accounting side of things, especially sorting out my VAT stuff. They made it way easier to understand and helped me get everything organised without stressing me out. The team’s really friendly too, like you can actually message them and get a proper response instead of waiting ages. They know what they’re doing and actually care about helping you, so I’d defo reccomend them if you need help with your accounts.

I have never written a negative review because I understand mistakes can happen, but my experience with Lemon Account was extremely disappointing, even on a very simple case.

It took them two months to prepare a tax report for HMRC covering just 500 transactions (basic buy orders, no trading). During this time, I repeatedly received messages like “it will be ready today/this week,” but deadlines were constantly missed. I also received updates such as “I’ll be working on the Coinbase transactions today and tomorrow on Kraken transactions.” Does importing a single file really take an entire day, or two days to import two files? It felt ridiculous.

When the report was finally delivered, it contained serious errors, including BTC “lost” and never sold. I requested corrections, but was told it was “not possible due to software limitations.” This was not true. Koinly, the software they used, clearly allows editing or removing transactions. I only asked to remove 15–20 transactions, but it was clear the person assigned simply did not want to do it.

The report provided was also outdated (the SA108 form box numbers were incorrect), and instead of addressing this, they simply covered the Koinly logo and sent it over without disclosure.

I was even asked to resend my transaction files because they claimed the originals “didn’t work.” I tested them myself, they worked fine. After resending the exact same files, they suddenly worked without issue.

I also asked for advice regarding residency strategy, but the guidance I received was vague and unreliable. I was told things like “our software determined it’s high risk,” with no explanation of what software was used or why it was considered high risk. It gave me the same impression as with the transaction issues, they just wanted to finish quickly without doing it properly.

When I raised my concerns with the director, I received no response at all.

To be sure—because I couldn’t believe this—I consulted two other accountants. Both confirmed that:

Preparing a report for 500 transactions should take no more than 10–15 minutes, not months.

The residency advice I received was incorrect and could have cost me a significant amount in taxes if I hadn’t carefully reviewed the report myself.

Overall, my experience was unprofessional, slow, and misleading. If you do choose to work with them, I strongly recommend you scrutinize every report carefully.

Fake reviews. Please look at people giving them reviews and you will notice that they are similar and way too "well thought". Nobody talks like that.
