Great product for writing on an iPad

The shipping was fast.
The product is just really great, though. I can put it on my iPad (13" air) and it has more of a feel like paper.

The only thing that I'm not entirely sure of is how to store it when I'm not using it. It's great regardless but there are times that I'd like to remove it and I'm not sure what the best way to store it is.

Completely unreliable. Avoid this company.

I placed an order on May 22. It included digital Procreate brushes and physical PenTips. The digital content was delivered immediately. The physical products were never shipped.

On June 3, I received an email stating the order was ”on the way.” On June 11, I received another email stating delivery within six working days. That was false.

On June 23, after I contacted them, the company admitted the physical items hadn’t even left their warehouse. They claimed shipping might begin around mid July. Their website stated 1 to 3 business days for shipping. No mention of a 2 month delay.

It is now mid July. I have received no shipping confirmation. I have received no follow up. The company has gone silent.

After escalating, I received a refund. However, they have refused to confirm whether the items will be sent as goodwill. Their communication is vague and inconsistent. Their emails are misleading. Their logistics are unreliable.

This company is dishonest, unprofessional and should not be trusted.
I recommend everyone to avoid.

Update July 30, 2025:

On June 23, their customer care representative finally confirmed in writing that the PenTips would be sent as goodwill once back in stock, but only after I repeatedly asked and pressed for that confirmation. It was never offered voluntarily.

After I requested a concrete shipping date in late July, I received an email from CEO Marc stating they will not honor the goodwill commitment because he disliked that I pressed for a delivery date.

This confirms the company’s pattern:
• Misleading emails falsely claiming shipments
• Admissions only after being confronted
• Sympathy plays and excuses instead of clear actions
• Final refusal to honor their own written goodwill commitment

PenTips is a very unserious company. Despite what Marc wrote in his reply here, they take no real responsibility.
This has been one of the most unprofessional experiences I have ever had with an online company.

You’re absolutely right: this has not been the experience we aim to deliver, and I want to personally apologize for the confusion and frustration. You placed an order in May, and while the digital content was sent immediately, the physical items were affected by a full-scale logistics transition we began around the same time. We’ve since refunded your order, but clearly that doesn’t undo the messy communication.

To be clear, we did send update emails throughout June, including one on the 3rd and one on the 11th. But somewhere along the line, we dropped the ball. Maybe our responses didn’t land properly, or maybe we weren’t as clear as we should have been. Either way, I take full responsibility.

What stings most is the claim that we’re dishonest or untrustworthy. We’ve served hundreds of thousands of creatives with PenTips and have over 3,000 Trustpilot reviews with an average score above 4.5. That reputation wasn’t built overnight, and it certainly wasn’t built on deception. Still, I fully acknowledge that for group of customers caught during this internal transition, the experience has been unacceptably bad.

Update July 30 In response to Matthias' update: After the refund was issued, you asked if we would still send the PenTips as a goodwill gesture. We said we would consider it and made a note of your request.

In the weeks that followed, you sent repeated messages demanding a specific shipping date. I replied that I couldn’t provide one yet because we were still processing a backlog. In different responses, you stated that anything less than a concrete commitment would be treated as stalling, and warned of further public escalation.

At that point, what began as a gesture became a demand and honestly my "goodwill" was stretched thin for a shipment that we were going to send for free. So yes, I decided to rescind the offer.

Love these!!!

I purchased these pen tips probably 6 to 8 months ago and I love them! They still work as well as when I first got them! My favorite is probably the Ink tip. I do a lot of small detail and it works beautifully! I have purchased all of the tips except for the fuzzy tip, which seems to be very popular right now! I don’t really have a need for the fuzzy one at this point but in the future if I do, I will definitely purchase it. I had a question regarding my iPad Pro 13 and got a reply within a few hours, which is not typical for most companies! So I can honestly say their customer service is great too! Don’t hesitate to buy these. These are really awesome!

Would have rated 5/5 but for the delivery delay due to their moving warehouse (and no notification to alert to the delay at ordering). The product is EXCELLENT - exactly as marketed. I have purchased from PenTips before and their customer service was great THEN so I am giving them the benefit of the doubt on this occasion. I would purchase again.

Ordered PenTips 2 on 10 May still waiting

Ordered PenTips 2 on 10 May. After multiple chasing emails, I’m told today that they’re redoing their distribution centre and not to expect anything till mid to end of July. Sorry, but that is a complete joke.
No notification when ordering that there would be a 2 month + delay. No update emails informing me during this process.
I do not trust this company as a result.

And to make matters worse, PenTips 2+ ended up being significantly more popular than we expected, and we temporarily ran out of stock. So your order was delayed not just by the logistics move but also by a restocking backlog. But none of that excuses the lack of proactive communication.

We’ve shipped hundreds of thousands of our products, and many of our customers have had great experiences. But this clearly wasn’t one of them. You were caught in the middle of some major internal changes, and I’m really sorry for that.

I was nervous about this happening

I was nervous about this happening, but I’ve embraced it. The PenMat has become an absolute necessity for me for iPad Pro. I now can’t picture going without one. So convenient being able to take it on and off, has a great paper like feel with the stock pencil tip, and then you can take feel further with the other pencil tip offerings that they offer like the ballpoint tips which are awesome. I tried drawing with the stock pencil tip on the glass after having the PenMat on for an extended period of time, and the loss of feel was so drastic I don’t know how I was ever drawing on the iPad Pro without the PenMat. Since I have the m4 iPad Pro with OLED, sometimes you want that full brilliance and full contrast/gloss, that’s where the new Fuzzy tips work out perfectly. Giving a Bristol like feel on the glass, it’s the perfection solution. They have a nice natural traction, but also have great glide on the pure glass. I should also mention the glide that the pencil gets with the PenMat while also retaining that natural grit/tooth is a big part of what makes it too. So, these are excellent products. I am hoping they develop special tips for the Nano Texture displays going forward as well.

I tell my friends about PenTips - THAT GOOD

The products are super solid; I've bought several rounds of PenTips Lite, and both PenTips Ink and PenTips 2+, plus the screen protector, and even some brushes! I absolutely love these tools. They're high quality, they do what they say they're going to do, and they do it well. The PenTips Lite definitely suffer from wear and tear and mine wore out after about a month, but the more solid, screw-in models are definitely worth it. The screen protector goes on and comes off easily, with no sticky residue at all (it's a totally different kind of adherent, like magnets sort of).

I've also dealt with customer support when one item arrived damaged (not their fault), and they were a delight. I sent them a couple photos of the damage, and they sent me a replacement, free of charge. I LOVE this company, and I'll be buying basically everything they make from now on. Huge fan. I tell my friends about these folks.

Struggling to meet orders

Long and constantly changing shipping timelines. It may be a great business but it’s extremely frustrating to deal with a retailer whose product is constantly out of stock and you can’t get even get a confident delivery day.
I hope they sort out the issues otherwise it does not inspire confidence.
The communication is great but due to highlighted issues I have had to cancel several orders.

Great customer service

Great customer service. The shipping of my order got messed up -- resulting in a long delay -- but Pen.Tips caught the problem themselves, notified me, and corrected the issue. I was impressed that I didn't have to chase down the problem, and that Pen.Tips corrected matters without my prompting. In my experience, this level of involvement is unusual.

Perfect PenTips

I have been a fan of PenTips products for two pens’ worth. I like how the site guided me to the perfect choice for my iPad and my style. Very easy to order and came just as described. PenTips is the shiznit!

Love PenTips! I'm an early adopter of tech, ONLY, when it comes to drawing on a device. I've used Procreate since it was released, to have a mobile workstation akin to my Cintiq. I got used to drawing on slick glass, and even textured glass. I just accepted that as the digital drawing experience. Then I tried the PenTips 2+, and I will never go back to the traditional tip. I just received my (refurb) PenPad and it's a great piece of hardware. Very sturdy. I'm learning it and it's streamlining my Procreate drawing process.

The company is very responsive and great about communication. Updates on international shipping, and timing. Very helpful.

Pen Pad Bundle

I bought the combo package that includes the procreate pad, the pen tip and the paper like screen. The “pen pad bundle” Truly surprised by how much it improves the texture. I never leave reviews of any products anywhere, but i felt compelled to leave one for this. I’ve bought other tips from other companies, and I’ve also bought textured screens from other companies but this combo really kicks all others out of the water.
It’s not “perfect” simply because you aren’t using actual paper and pencil. But it REAL close to it.
