A great "icebreaker" when I introduce myself to men as a cancer patient advocate. I challenge them to demonstrate the three functions of the pen; if they do, they can keep it. This starts the conversation before we start talking about their health and the need to use the same logic for preventive health as they do for preventive maintenance - Men take better care of their cars than their bodies!
