The Perfect Gift Card

The Perfect Gift Card
I was given a gift card $50 as a present by a family member.
When I went to purchase an item at the local business they damaged the card so that the pin code was not readable,
I then contacted the Perfect Gift company via email, they promised to give me a replacement, but then on the next email asked for photos of the back and front of the card for validation which I did, they then said they will give me a new card.
Then they sent me another email saying it was delivered, except the address they had was not mine, so I sent an email stating this.

They then asked to clarify my address which I did.

My next email said it was delivered but again at the wrong address, so I sent them my address again.
The next message was a repeat of the last with the wrong address.
Then they asked again for photos plus a receipt, I gave them the photos again but let them know that this was a gift from a family member.
This has been ongoing since the 14th of April.
I also informed them that I would be contacting the ACCC regards this.
This was their last message today.
Hello Ben,
I'm following up on your Ultimate Card query.

I escalated this to our management team, and based on the records that we have on the Ultimate Card, we cannot proceed without the right pictures and the proof of purchase for this card.

The replacement was issued to another cardholder before we got your replacement request. As per the records received by the cardholder, the replacement was sent to them, and to the address they provided.

Without the proof of purchase that we have requested, we cannot continue investigating this without the needed ownership documents requested.
You can reach out to the person that gifted you the card to be able to get the proof of purchase.
I'll leave the case open for when you are able to provide this information.
My answer.
Seems you are giving me the runaround.
I have even gone online to, perfectgift.com balance check, and the card still has 50 dollars on it.
I have given you pictures of the card and also informed you of the fact that it was a gift from a family member, ultimate times , so no receipt, plus all messages have been archived, which will be used when I contact the relevant authorities.
I also intend on giving a report on Trustpilot as well regarding this.
I have never ever had any problems with other companies regarding refunds etc, PayPal, Amazon, eBay have always delivered within days of my message with no hassle.
You might be a big corporation but seems you don't care about your customers.
Ben.
They keep repeating themselves with the same message and keep on saying they will escalate this, but nothing happens.

I have archived all of the emails and have even mentioned this,
Seems they keep giving me the runaround. So, in future when my kids give me a gift card I will inform them not to use this one.
So definitely not happy with this company.

Maybe if they read this, they will sort this matter out in a timely manner.

Here's hoping.

Ben.
