I notified Peter Barry, Chartered Surveyors on 21/6/2025, that I required an urgent survey of my home. The response time in arranging a date and time for the inspection was within 24 hours, the inspection was carried out on 23/7/2025.
The surveyor (Steve) was very helpful during the process of the inspection. He took time to discuss the defects and professional repairs required. He informed me of the implications which would lead to significant structural damage. Which would impact on the structure of the property, if I did not undertake the necessary improvements and repairs.
He undertook a detailed inspection; he shared his knowledge and professional advice and was very efficient in completing the survey in timescales.
I'm happy with the customer service and with the details of the survey.

Really professional and easy service. Also, David the Surveyor called me prior the inspection to ensure all my concerns were addressed. All these were covered in detail on the report which gave me peace of mind.

First time buyer, Requested RICS survey done on the property. Extremely helpful at the time I was just requesting quotes, much better than all the other firms I contacted. Even when there was an issue when it came to the initial survey date agreed upon, which was out of their control, managed to rebook extremely quickly and at short notice. I received report back next day as well, which was a surprise as was not expecting it so fast.

We are first time buyers, and our surveyor, David, was excellent. He had a phone call with us right after doing the inspection, and wrote a very thorough report with lots of photos. We had a few follow up questions coming from the search results from our lawyers and David spent a lot of time talking to us on the phone about these issues which came up. Would thoroughly recommend!

I had requested a level 3 RICS survey report on a residential property. Shaun visited the property and made a detailed inspection, taking photographs that illustrated various issues that were highlighted in the report. In particular, certain aspects that I had raised before the inspection took place were covered in the report. Following receipt of the report, I spoke to Shaun to clarify certain aspects, and I found him professional and helpful. Highly recommended.

i am a solicitor and i telephoned you yesterday morning with a serious enquiry about retaining your services on a Boundary issue. i gave full details of the property and left my contact telephone number .Now over 24 hours later i have had no response.
i take the strongest possible exception as a fellow professional to being treated in this disrespectful manner which constitutes a complete absence of service and professionalism.
I considerI am entitled to an apology and I express the hope that other prospective clients will receive better treatment than me otherwiseI fear for the future of your business. I require you to destroy the data I gave to your receptionist yesterday

poor experience, the L3 survey was scheduled & conducted promptly, but missed a major leak inside the property that was going on for years, and complaints manager deferred to weasel wording in the survey, where they never stated that there are no leaks, just that they have not found them

Effectively peace of mind that we got from a survey was a fake one and in reality it is just some wasted 3k£
