Very bad custome support

Very bad custome support. For missing petro points they asked you credit card 4 last numbers. In case you canceled that card they can’t verify your account. Very foolish nonsense. Even when you give them email and they send you a code still they ask you for credit card. Avoid!

Beyond terrible customer service

Can't login to account, getting message saying account is locked. Called customer service, they told me to try the 'Reset Password' option but I can't even reset my password - still get message that account is locked. They created a support ticket which "would be escalated to technical support".

Now we begin the cycle that goes like this:
1. Get response to support ticket saying the account can't be reset without proper authorization from me.
2. I call customer service, they walk me through the SAME reset steps, which fail, and they say they will escalate it to technical report.
3. The cycle repeats.

Still no explanation about why my account has been locked.

After 2 weeks of this, I called customer support today and asked for other options and was told there was nothing they can do.

It is obvious that the customer support representatives are following a script. Every time I call, the only think that changes is the name of the person, otherwise they say the exact same thing. There is no thoughtful response to the questions that I am asking.

I am shocked by the terrible customer support provided by this company.

Purchaed a gift card the was faulty and…

Purchaed a gift card that was faulty and the $100 we spent never got applied to the card. I called the number on the back thinking they would resolve quickly. I was told to email them the front and back of the card and the receipt, so I did. Many replies from all different people asking vaguely for more information. Sent the pictures again. Called and was told they were only willing to give us half the money back because we didn't keep the part of the card that hooks onto the metal rack. Who keeps those? Why would you put any important information on the part we dont need. Almost seems like they do it so that this happens and they dont have to give you all your money. They lost 3 loyal customers today and told them to keep the other $50 too. If you're going to be thieves go all the way and not just half way. Crooks!

Petro points THEFT…

Petro points "THEFT" three times in one month , my points have been cleaned out by a thief. I immediately phoned customer service all three times and I just get a run around and get nowhere. I've changed my password, I've changed my card, My security question answer, it doesn't matter. It keeps getting stolen.

I Commute a lot and spend thousands of dollars on fuel. What is the point of exclusively using petro can When somebody else gets to use my points. They need to take a page from triangle rewards, where you have a function on the app where you can disable point redemption , simple. They're call center is in india. There is always a language barrier. And the reception is poor. They are just trained bots reading off of a script with no personality and no desire to actually help you.

I'm sure petro can can maybe pay Canadians a
living wage? Considering they are canadian company instead of paying some agent in bangladesh two dollars an hour. I have given up on trying to get my points back.It will never happen. The call center agents always ask me for the first 4 and last 4 digits of my credit card, they don't need that information. I'm beginning to feel like it's the customer serving agents that are the ones who are stealing the points.

Unstable Petro-Canada Mobile App

I am writing to share my feedback regarding the Petro-Canada mobile application, which I have been using regularly as a long standing and loyal Petro Canada customer.

I have relied on Petro Canada services for many years and have generally been satisfied with the brand and its offerings. However, I regret to say that my experience with the Petro Canada mobile App has been increasingly disappointing and frustrating. The application crashes frequently, lacks stability, and often fails to function as expected. As a result, despite using the app on a regular basis, I find that I cannot depend on it consistently for my day-to-day needs.

Given that Petro Canada is owned by Suncor, a major and well-established Canadian energy company, I had expected a higher level of reliability, maintenance, and performance from such a widely used digital platform. Unfortunately, the ongoing technical issues suggest that the App’s functionality and stability are not being adequately maintained, which is both frustrating and inconvenient for customers.

I am sharing this feedback in the hope that it will be taken seriously and escalated to the appropriate technical and management teams. A stable and reliable mobile application is an important part of the customer experience today, and improvements in this area would greatly enhance confidence and satisfaction among loyal users such as myself. If I could submit Zero star, I would have done that just to show my frustration the way this App works. I had to keep on uninstall and install the App several times just to ensure that the App starts functioning.

Thank you for taking the time to review my concerns. I trust that Petro Canada and Suncor will give this matter due attention and take the necessary steps to improve the App’s performance going forward.

PetroCan Seasons Pass failure card

My neighbour and I are sharing the PetroCan Season Pass car wash plan. We activated the card in mid-December. Within a week the PetroCan app that we used for the wash crashed and to my knowledge it has not worked since. However, after the app crashed we used the physical card they issued, then it stopped working after 2 or 3 days. It turns out from discussions that they cancelled our account number, then issued it to someone else, then tried to reinstate ours, and now the account is frozen and has been not working for almost a month now. Even though new cards were to have been mailed since before Christmas, now at least 3 weeks later we have received nothing. Now, just today, the car wash operator at Silvercreek and Willow in Guelph refused to issue me a rain check for a wash. The PetroCan car wash plan is so poorly run, with no one doing what is necessary to solve glaring problems is very disappointing. I feel like we have been totally ripped off by a scam. If this operation was legitimate they would have solved our problem weeks ago by sending us new cards by courier.

My petro canada points were redeemed…

My petro canada points were redeemed just before the holidays. Contacted customer support and she reinstated the pointsnto a new account number but can't login due to some system error not accepting the new email. She said she will phone me back never heard back.

2 weeks later I called again to try and access my account same bullshit system error that was never fixed 1 weeks ago. Still can't access my new account so I can redeem them before another thief takes it away.

Overall Petro Canada points program is the worse I have ever experienced. I doubt I will be able to login to this new account and I have no more patience and time to stay on hold for another hour as I already wasted 2 hours going around the mulberry bush.

So frustrating talking to the call center in the Phillipines. They are all useless there.

Unsatisfactory Service

Unsatisfactory Service – Refund Not Processed

We requested a refund for the Petro-Canada Season Car Wash almost two weeks ago, and nothing has been done yet. The representative handling our case, Kanwaljit, she works in head office was provided with all required information, including pictures of the card and the transaction records, but we still have not received any update or resolution.

This delay and lack of communication are extremely disappointing. A simple refund should not take this long, especially when all documents have already been submitted. We expect Petro-Canada to take responsibility and resolve this matter immediately.

Rip off thiefs

Switched companies due to insane bills had tanks picked up got a bill for 249.99 didn't get refunded for fuel in tanks 300 bucks worth at there price and they took my regulator and round concret slabs dam criminals. I called around every company i spoke with in the area does refund for fuel in tanks not used

Rude cashier.

!! ATTEMPTED THIEFT FROM ATTENDANT !! BE CAREFUL AT THIS LOCATION !!

At 6:13pm on Nov 22, 2025 I preauthorized $50 at Pump 3 at 8 Thorncliffe Park Drive in Toronto (which is the only way these pumps work), and my total came to $41.69. The pump failed to print the receipt and told me to see the attendant.

When I went inside to get the receipt printed, the attendant (name tag said "Awais") told me I needed to pay for the gas. I told him I had already prepaid and gave him the pump number and exact amount

Then he said the payment "didn’t go through". When I asked how the gas came out of the pump if that were true, he got shifty on his computer and suddenly changed his story to, "You only paid $30, you have to pay for the rest".

I raised my voice and asked why he was trying to charge me more when the pump clearly dispensed over $30 worth of fuel since it was authorized for more.

I told him, "If you think I’m giving you more money when I’ve already paid, I will call the police and show them my banking app to prove it."

The moment I said "police", the receipt magically printed, showing the full amount had already been charged. He immediately said, "No no, don't call the police".

At that point, I did not trust him with my bank card or any further transactions, so I left the additional item I had picked up and walked out. When I said I would report him, he brushed it off and pointed to the receipt saying, "You paid, and there's your receipt - we're done."

Petro-Canada absolutely needs to review their cameras and transaction logs for this incident. Based on my experience, I will never return and strongly recommend avoiding this location.

My Petro points loyalty card was compromised . I have been trying to resolve this to get a new card number . called multiple times and they hanged the phone, 20 calls, chats , will never again trust petro canada and will never use petro gas , doing this not because my petro points were compromised but the service i got so if it isn't resolved in the next couple of days i am going to unlink my acct as well as close my rbc credit card

Very bad location never have printing…

Very bad location never have printing paper at pump one. Car washing area dirty and most of time closed or repair is happening. Inside the Car wash equipment are scary noisy and hammering the water over the car. One time I was thinking the way water is hammering on my car would brake something for sure. Never want to go back this location again.

I've been trying to get in touch with them about my account and I can't get through... their system promises to call me back in 30 minutes and they don't! I use the text bot on their website and it tells me that I am second in the que and they will get to me in 2:17.... I've been naively waiting for 15 minutes and they still haven't got to me!

Probably the worst customer service experience ever.

My Petro points loyalty card was compromised twice in one week. I have been trying to resolve this to get a new card number and my 167,000 pts reinstated. Ive spoke to customer service 5 separate times already for a total of 6 hours (waiting on hold and speaking with a live agent). Still no resolution. They have asked me to create another email address, continue to try to send new email verification links that are broken and dont work and then they have to wait another 48 hours before they can troubleshoot again. I think Im going to Esso or Shell.

I would like to discuss about employee”Manya” who is working at petro canada at 1241 weber st kitchener location behaves rudely with customer. Her attitude is not good and also did not give good customer service.Manager “Tracey” i request please discuss with employer or even check camera system the way she react is totally unacceptable. I request please fire her or atleast explain her how to deal with customer as we know customer service is really really important if we dissatisfied customer then he will not come again right! And i am coming here since more than 5 years. I hate these kind of attitude…. Please take action on these kind of employee.

Hope for your positive reply manager. I request to check camera recording and then teach her how to talk with customer. Customer are friends, if we talk nicely they will come again and if not they don’t want to give shift when these type of employee are working.

My points are currently being stolen

My points are currently being stolen. It has now happened three times over the last couple of week. This is a company that clearly doesn't care about it's customers. No customer service just endless time on hold with no answer. In a time when the government is asking us to support Canadian business I am trying but what I am being taught by big business is, "I'm happy to take your money, I just don't want to provide any service." Shame on you Petro Canada.
