I am a driver and have been collecting points for a really long time. Last night my points were all stolen. The number provided and told to call immediately if it wasn't me, was closed, I tried today 12 times to reach customer service the first nine times it said they could not take my call and hung up on me after going through all the process finally the last few times it said that the wait time was a minimum of 60 minutes. People use their phone for work and cannot put their work on hold for 60 minutes to earn back points that are less than their wage. In other words there is no recuperating your points once they are stolen, it's pretty much impossible.

Absolutely one of the worst app and…

Absolutely one of the worst app and customer service. Frustrating just when you need to pay at the pump to find out that you have been logged out and having issues logging back in because of password issues. So many times just foregoing the points by using credit card to pay just to not hold the line. Contact us on their website is also garbage. Chat function does not work… let’s you wait then disconnects you after the wait. i have not even tried calling them. if not for the convenient location of the petro station, i would not even consider using this.

I'd give them a zero if I could

I'd give them a zero if I could. Their customer service whether online, phone, apps or website are non-existent. Linked points with RBC????? A week later and no discounts or points. "Contact Us" must go directly into the garbage bin. They're a joke. We were just trying to support Canadian business. Back to Chevron and Shell we go.

Pride of Canada PetroCanada

Apart from the obvious pride in dealing with a Canadian company, I like the rewards program at PetroCanada. If you reach a certain level of points, you can get cheaper gas or products in the store. The reason I didn't give a five star rating is that there have been occasions when there was no gas at the pumps or I could not get a receipt from the pump. On the occasions where there was no gas I had to go to a nearby Esso station.

Petro Canada pocketing overpayment of Gas.

The company since Sept 2024 had required customers to prepay for gas. I filled my gas up last week at the price of 1.13 per litre..I overpaid by $15 dollars and requested my money back from the Cashier..I got a silly response. This company is basically pocketing money if you over paid whether by cash, debit or credit.. I have today filed a complaint with head office with a representative telling me they have received a number of complaints regarding the same issue and PETRO CANADA has done nothiing to solve the problem. .If I do not get my money back I will file a complaint with the Federal Government of Canada ( MP), the Ontario Energy BOARD that deals with consumer complaints and contact the media.. THIS IS THEFT> I have the receipts to prove it.. This is not a bank issue..This is a PETRO CANADA ISSUE who is stealing money from consumers through overpayment of gas and do not want to provide refunds on the spot!! Please explain to me PETRO Canada why I have to wait for over 2 days to speak to a lowly manager?? All consumer calls are now being handled offshore in the PHILIPPINES that clearly do not know or understand nor are they qualified to had ONTARIO Canada CONSUMER LAWS disputes!! Complaint will be sent to President of Suncor Canada in Calgary this week!! Suncor OWNS PetroCanada that has no Canadian employee representatives. The Canadian Federal government owns 19% share stake in Petro Canada... and they support these anti consumer policies!! SHOCKING!!

Anything for a buck

I believe there are members of this company who ate knowingly running a scam with vanilla Visa/Mastercard gift cards. Three times now I have had my money stolen/scammed from me by the two companies. I purchase a gift card expecting to use it for online purchases the day I payed for it and not weeks later or I'm sure nobody would be buying them then . I go to use and I get a failed deposit/transaction. So I try on other sites/stores and the same message. Each time I take to Petro with receipt. Each time I'm told it's activated and given a piece of paper with a customer service number on it. For some reason they will not have the money on card accessible instead saying they will mail out a new card. It's been about 6 months I've been waiting now for the first one which was for 50$. The second card again was for 50$ which I've yet to receive and yesterday I purchased a 25 $ card to be told to contact that number. This time I left the card and receipt with there staff which shows it's activated with money on it but it's not worth the hassle and annoyance of contacting there support staff to be told another lie and false promise of a new card. This should be investigated as I'm sure there are alot of thefts from customers by there staff if they managed to do this to me 3 times. This is criminal and they are no different than any other person sitting in a jail cell for the same charges or less. That's with the fees is about 100$ on top of the insult I had nothing but attitude from the staff making the experience much worse. Absolutely shameful Petro Canada. Gotta have that money right?
DO NOT BUY THERE GIFT CARDS. THERE ARE OTHER OPTIONS AND THEY CERTAINLY DO NOT DESERVE YOUR BUSINESS.

Petro Canada Season Pass Suspended Without Notice

I’ve been a loyal user of the Petro-Canada Season Pass since 2015, purchasing it annually and sharing it within my family. This year, our pass was unexpectedly suspended — despite having over 250 days remaining on it.

I contacted customer service, but they dismissed the issue outright. They stated we can no longer use the pass and that no refund would be provided. Shockingly, they also refused to provide written confirmation that the pass had been suspended, and I never received any prior notice of suspension.

The customer service experience was extremely frustrating — not only unhelpful but also they are not able to communicate in English.

This experience has been deeply disappointing. If anyone is considering a class action lawsuit related to Petro-Canada’s handling of Season Pass suspensions and customer rights violations, I would be more than happy to assist.

Terrible experience with Petro-Canada Car Wash. My lost card was used while I was out of the country, and despite reporting it, they denied any record or responsibility. No alerts, no support, and zero accountability. This feels like a complete scam. Avoid at all costs.

PetroCanada Car Wash card not reloaded but payment taken-not resolved by PetroCanada

I tried to reload my PetroCanada Car Wash Season Pass Card, while I my credit card got posted with the amount but the PetroCanada Car Wash Season Pass did not get reloaded. I contacted the online chat who asked me to send an email to customer service and I would get a reply within 1 or 2 business days. No response in 5 business days so I called the online chat who said the same thing and hung the chat. I called the telephone customer service call - first call went through after 30 minutes wait and that agent was helpful. He gave me case number and said the case has been escalated to senior agent and I would get reply within 1 or 2 business days. Nothing happened. I waited and tried to call again but after waiting nearly an hour the phone calls gets cut. Tried followed up on the online chat - gave the case number but the online chat agent said case has been escalated and will get response, I explained that I got the same response before but nothing is happening, the online agent cut the chat.

Fraudsters at its best

Fraudsters at its best, they canceled my card and stole all accumulated points / money. Previously i was unable to log in for months with error that problem is on their end and they are working on it. Called about it as well and they told me to wait! Well DO NOT WAIT!!! File BBB complaint against these scummy crooks.

They took my $200 dollars after cancelling my car wash spp. called call centre in china not listening to me at all.
They can cancel app but no right to have customers money forfeited.

Petrol Canada refuses to refund season pass payment

Petrol Canada is running a dubious practice in which they are initiating new policies or terms of conditions on the go and not clearly informing the customer about it.
I spent about $234 on a season pass that had only been used thrice and on trying to use it today, I was informed that the card had been cancelled and no refund will be issued.
I have been trying to speak to the customer service but I have been told that there is no way to escalalate this further and that I will not getting my money back.
Please be warned that doing any transaction with Petrol Canada is at your risk your risk.

If I could give Petro-Canada zero…

If I could give Petro-Canada zero stars, I would. This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. I run a business and rely on my fueling receipts for tax purposes, just like I did last year when I requested my 2023 receipts and received them with no issue. Now, suddenly, they claim they can’t provide receipts beyond four months, despite the fact that they did it last year.

The real issue isn’t just the receipts—it’s the horrendous customer service. I have spent hours on hold, only for calls to disconnect on their own. I’ve been bounced around between multiple agents, each telling me something different. When I finally got through, the response I received could have easily been sent in a simple email instead of wasting my time.

This isn’t just incompetence—it’s pure disregard for customers. It’s clear that Petro-Canada has grown too comfortable as a major brand, and it shows in how little they care about customer satisfaction. They are impossible to reach, slow to respond, and unwilling to provide basic service that any customer should expect.

I’m done. I will be taking my business elsewhere, and I highly encourage anyone reading this to do the same. There are plenty of competitors out there who actually value their customers’ time and money. Petro-Canada clearly doesn’t.

I’ve been travelling with my company across western Canada for 35 years and in the last 10 years I’ve seen a lot of the peyro Canada stations sold to East Indian owners and all do not look after there equipment leaky handles fuel spill on the ground no paper in the machines when you say something they say your racists when this simply a lack of appreciation of the business Moose Jaw Sask Petro

Managers need to train workers

I think Petro Canada managers need to talk to their workers about customer service and how it is a vital part of any retail job. The kids they employ never come to the drivers window they stand at passenger side of car. They don’t ask if you want your window washed. Other companies step up and the kids working there don’t hide in he little glass enclosure watching you do it yourself.
Do better managers !! Customer service is a huge part of your business.
I have an injured arm for life I can’t lift it up to pay out my passenger window.
