Horrendous customer service from…

Horrendous customer service from Customer Care. I have never experienced such poor communication and a lack of care and support for a customer.
I purchased a E308 in September 2024 it has broke down three times now, showing the same fault of electrical system and gearbox failure. It has been off the road now for over 7 weeks since January, and remains at a dealership and not once have I been offered any support and am constantly told to wait 5 working days for a reply, not once have they met this target. I have made multiple calls a day and sent emails, with case owner never available.
I have been told this week that a part has been ordered and it is a warranty covered issue, this then entitling me to a courtesy vehicle - but I still have not been supplied with one, despite multiple calls chasing this.
I have made a complaint and will take this to the ombudsman as just to continue working, I have had to hire a car at my own expense of currently £1750+ and increasing daily. When I have explained this to Customer Care, they have offered no help, guidance or support.

I am extremely disappointed with the level of customer support from Peugeot.

I purchased a 2024 Peugeot 3008 in September 2024 and the vehicle is still under the manufacturer’s warranty (valid until July 2027). During my ownership the car has experienced multiple electrical issues including intermittent screen failures, warning messages appearing and disappearing, and the vehicle cutting out on one occasion. More recently it began showing repeated “low power mode” warnings.

Several weeks ago the vehicle became completely immobilised on my driveway. The alarm triggered unexpectedly early in the morning and the car could not be unlocked or started. Following advice from Peugeot Customer Care, I contacted the RAC privately and paid £272 for a replacement battery. However, the battery drained again within 48 hours.

The RAC diagnostics recorded a DC/DC converter fault and CAN communication faults and advised that the vehicle would need to be inspected by a Peugeot dealer.

Since then the car has been completely dead on my driveway and unusable.

Over the past few weeks I have:

- Called Peugeot Customer Care multiple times
- Sent several follow-up emails
- Contacted the supplying dealer
- Submitted complaints through Stellantis
- Raised a case with The Motor Ombudsman

Despite all of this, Peugeot have still not arranged recovery of the vehicle or provided any meaningful assistance.

My partner is pregnant and we have been left without transport for weeks. During this time we have also had a family hospital emergency and have had to rely on taxis and public transport while continuing to make finance payments (£523 pm) for a car we cannot use.

The most frustrating part is the complete lack of communication. Every time I call customer care I am told someone will call me back, but no one ever does.

I understand that cars can develop faults, but what I cannot accept is the lack of support and accountability when a vehicle becomes completely unusable.

At this point I am simply trying to get the car recovered to a Peugeot dealer so the fault can be properly diagnosed under warranty, which should not be this difficult.

Very disappointing experience. I can honestly say I will never purchase or deal with Peugoet ever again.

Snow’s Peugeot Basingstoke

Snow’s Peugeot Basingstoke has a wonderful team who are very helpful and friendly, Emma Edmunds went above and beyond to meet my every need on my wet belt replacement on my Peugeot 2008 gt, they even managed to squeeze an mot in at the last minute which saved me a lot of hassle due to work and to top it off they even valeted my car for me which I can’t thank them enough.
I would be more than happy to return with my car if I have any future issues.

Urgent Car Issue

I wanted to leave a review following my experience with Peugeot in Worthing.

Very shortly after collecting my car I experienced an issue and, understandably, was quite concerned, particularly as I needed the car urgently for a family journey. I called the customer service team first thing in the morning and the people I spoke to were incredibly helpful and supportive while I tried to work out what was happening.

When I arrived at the garage I met Phil, the manager, who immediately took the situation seriously. He was thoughtful, attentive and clearly understood the urgency of the situation. He listened carefully and worked with me to find a solution rather than dismissing the issue.

Maisey from the sales team also came straight over and was absolutely lovely. She immediately sympathised with my concerns and was very reassuring throughout. Phil and Maisey both talked through the possible solutions with me and helped resolve the issue quickly.

What really stood out was how personable and professional they both were. Sadly, many garages can become quite obstructive or unhelpful once a car has been sold, but this was the complete opposite. They were approachable, proactive and genuinely wanted to help.

The problem was resolved and I left feeling very well looked after.

I hope this review is seen by Phil and Maisey, as their care and professionalism really made a difference to my experience.

Absolutely awful

Absolutely awful

I have a 5-week-old car, which 3 days ago completely packed up. RAC found over 80 faults on the car and said to me "This car is absolutely useless and not fit for purpose"

The local dealership cannot get the car in until May. Peugeot customer service has been horrific and won't respond for 5 working days.

So I am left without a car that was £50,000, and Peugeot thinks this is acceptable. I wish I had never bought a Peugeot, and being perfectly honest, I will never buy one again.

Peugeot E 3008

I purchased a 10 month old Peugeot E 3008 from Stellantis in Preston and when choosing I posted out clearly that I wanted a car that had an associated App for remote connected services. I was assured that this was the case so I proceeded with the purchase. When this App did not activate I had no access to the promised services. On my return to the dealership I was told that they had no control over the app and provided me a telephone number to contact. This turned out to be customer services for Peugeot UK Head Office. Despite numerous emails Customer Services proved to be next to useless. All I got in response was "be patient" or "we're working on it".After to 5 months of trying I still had no access to the connected services. As well as this problem the preconditioning in the car did not work, random alarm going off, car not automatically opening as I approached on some days, tailgate not always opening with foot control. I booked it in at Stellantis for work to be carried out under warranty and lo and behold on it’s returne still the problems persisted. After 5 months of hassle I have given up and traded in the car which has lost me considerable money.
I even wrote to head office in the Netherlands - surprisingly no response.
FOR A COMPANY WHO ADVERTISE THAT THEY PUT THE CUSTOMER FIRST THE WHOLE EPISODE IS DISGUSTING.
I gave this review one star because that's the lowest it will allow me to do.

My 10 months old 5000 E broke down…

My 10 months old 5000 E broke down nearly 6 weeks ago. After nearly a month, the 12 V battery was diagnosed as faulty. They have been unable to get a replacement because the old battery has been replaced by a new one. Neither is available from Peugeot. The result is a car with Only 4000 miles on the clock is sitting useless in the garage. Customer care and service is terrible. You’re just left to manage without a car.

Peugeot Stallantis have cheated us by…

Peugeot Stallantis have cheated us by not paying for a severe engine problem, caused by their faulty camshaft.
They have known about the defective camshaft since July 2025 yet didn’t send us the safety recall letter until November 2025.
Just 3 weeks prior to getting this letter, our car suffered major engine damage caused by their faulty camshaft link breaking. There were smashed tappets all through the engine that had to be stripped and rebuilt. The repair cost £3,200.
We didn’t know about the safety recall at the time and the car was taken to an AA affiliated garage because it was recommended by the AA roadside assistance.
When we got the safety recall letter, I contacted Peugeot/Stallantis to tell them about the part failing, fully expecting that they would pay for this repair, given they were late to tell us about the recall.
I was told that because it was repaired at a non Peugeot garage, they wouldn’t pay.
How unfair is that?!
How would we even know to take it to one given the lack of information/timing of their communication.
They are cheats!

Stressful

Sales team great from start of the process to collecting the car.
Now we have the car, customer care has been disappointing. Took 3 months to have faults looked into (was booked in twice and cancelled the day appointment was for, drove to the garage to be told!)
Now told the wet passenger seat resulting in the car being damp is a design fault! And the fault lights are “ghost lights”
Sold the dream and turning into a bit of a nightmare.
Have put in multiple complaints and had one email and one phone where I had to ask who they were and why they were calling. The are keen to close the case before the car is assessed!
I had a courtesy car that had no fuel and was dirty.
I have my concerns that if/when I need a service it was be the same stress and frustration
Then when we finally give the car back it will have “wear and tear” issues that if were looked at sooner wouldn’t have wear or tear?! Resulting in Peugeot making money and me loosing money!

Ps to all of this issues are still no resolved and still waiting for any real conversation from the complaints team.

Stay away from Peugeot

Stay away from Peugeot - I have claim pending since last October and still nobody in Peugeot can either answer calls emails or contact me back regarding it. My Peugeot 2008 was only 6 weeks old when I started having pales with it. Broke down on the way to a wedding last October got it fixed in a main dealer and still waiting on the claim to be repaid out.. 78 emails and countless calls and NOBODY will take accountability for it.. stay away from Peugeot at all cost .

Faulty new car

Bought a new Peugeot 208 GT in June 2025. Car was fine for 6 months until a message on the dashboard came up saying “Engine Fault. Repair Needed.” Tried to call the dealership for a repair but their waiting times are 2 months for a diagnostic check, which is appalling. Had to go to another approved repairer (as vehicle is under warranty) on 2 occasions due to the same fault. The fault now still appears on the car and I’ve tried to get in contact with them by going in person, phone call, email (they’ve raised two case numbers but no one has still responded!) and a letter. Cant get through to anyone at all. I now want to return the car because it shouldn’t be happening on a new car when the same fault keeps reappearing. Something is obviously not right but I can get through to anyone. Very poor customer service

Bought a new E208 in May 2025

Bought a new E208 in May 2025, love the car. But a fault developed in Dec 2025 with the traction and took it in to my local peugoet dealer as the dealer I bought it from is over 30 miles away. 2 months later, and multiple calls to customer support (who never ever called me back when they said they would) I had to take Henri (yes he has a French name) to the dealer I bought it from as local dealer even with peugoet tech support couldn’t figure out what was wrong with it. Many many fault codes and I mean many, it’s at the dealer for two days now no call back to say how things are progressing, I am at my wits end, going to have to get a consumer rights lawyer involved as I can’t see me getting Henri back soon. The peugoet app is awful and they want to change for it what a joke. I bought the E208 as I had a 107 which after 16 years of trouble free 130,000 miles I thought they were good cars. As people have said don’t buy a peugoet they look lovely but if you get a lemon.

DO NOT BUY PEUGEOT

Have the new 3008 and my biggest regret is not going for another make!
Car seems well equipped until you buy and get to know it and it is crap, lowest of the lowest for quality, service and support!
Found out the car resets its self so it disconnects your phone, resets the door settings from driver door opens first so you feel secure and all settings you made are cancelled.
There is no warning and no notification!
The speed awareness is useless and tells me I can do 80 in a 30 zone and 90 on the motorway!
DO NOT BUY THIS BRAND. THE CARS ARE ANNOYING, OVER PRICED AND KNOWING THE FAULTS WILL BE WORTHLESS WHEN TRADING!!

I would give them zero if possible

I would give them zero if possible. My car broke down in May 2025. I had the car towed to a garage and they diagnosed the camshaft. Couldnt get the part for months and was finally repaired in December. A letter arrives in November to say there is a recall for the camshaft if you have paid for a repair you can claim it back. Give them all the relevant information and like everyone else on here all you get is the run around. The person dealing with your claim isnt available. Meanwhile we are out £1200 we paid for the repair. We are pensioners and cannot afford to lose this money but no one will answer any calls or emails. 7 months of car payments for a car we couldnt use, wasted money!! Shame on you Peugeot!
