Want to give zero or minus if I can. Super expensive just taking advantage of people. One horrible example of monopoly.

I had the best experience needing a pilot light relit.

I had the best experience needing a service appointment because my pilot light went out. It's a free service. Apparently they usually can do it same day, but I didn't know mine was out until 7:15 pm. I called the automated line for next day and the window was 8am-8pm. Yikes! I went to work hoping they would send a message when they were on their way. Sure enough! Mike called about 2 hours before he could be there just to let me know. He called again to say he was about 25 minutes away. EXCELLENT SERVICE! He came to the house and stayed long enough to inspect the water heater and make sure it stayed lit. Far better experience than I expected. Thank you so much for the communication.

PG&E may be a problem as a Corporation

PG&E may be a problem as a Corporation, especially at the corporate office. However there are individual employees in the field, that do their best. The one I want to mention is Stanislaus Wiecek. I happened to be on my property today, when Stanislaus was conducting a safety and compliance of PG&E installations on my property. Inadvertently there were some reflectors on the PG&E pole that he wrote up. I promptly went and removed the reflectors. He rescinded the violation and made sure everything was right at the corporate office. I asked a few questions, and he took the time to answer them. These questions included a fairly complex overhead wire situation. It also included the potential problem with one of the telephone poles. H patiently explain the things I should look out for, in order to keep safe environment because a lot of the buildings on my property or very old, as well as the transmission lines. All in all it was very educational, I appreciate the fact he spent the time to educate a valued customer.

Meter checks

When PG&E needs to check meters. They should call ahead or send some kind of notification. I’m going to open doors for unexpected people especially with so many scammy people. I’m sure they should be keeping logs of they need the residents to let them in to check. Don’t waste our time, and you expecting we are all home waiting for you to come by the check our meters is ridiculous. You should really rework your workflow. And if you ring the doorbell once and no one answers . Leave the tag. Don’t go around making unecesaary phone calls.

Most convoluted phone menu and service…

Most convoluted phone menu and service ever, it should be called how to make customer service as complicated and difficult as possible. PG&E customers pay almost double of most other gas and electric Co. in other states. PG&E is the WORST most mismanaged utility co. in the nation.

Rip off!!

Rip off!!! If you don't qualify for their "Discount" your rates will be even more ridiculous. Thankful we were able to escape CA as a whole, but especially grateful to be out from under the government monopoly that is PG&E.
This site isn't giving me the option to upload a Pic, I have our last bill from them before we moved in April 2024. We were paying $.49798/kwh during winter peak usage (between 5pm & 8pm) & $.45937/kwh during off peak usage. This company, regulated by CA appointed officials @ CPUC, should be your first clue that you'll be ripped off!
If you qualify as low income you can get l apply for CARE, you'll get a %off your monthly bill. FERA was the next lowest Discount if you make more. We no longer qualified for any and had to pay increased rates for the 60% of the state that does qualify.
Good riddance PG&E. Avoid CA if you don't like being ripped off to cool or heat your home. FYI most of the state does require heating and cooling, and it will come at a premium. I am so relieved when it's 100° and I can run my AC without worry I'll have a $600 bill!
FYI, with 550 kwh of usage our bill in winter was nearly $300! No heat, no AC, 1 TV, 2 computers, electric dryer & electric stove, gas water heater. Summer bill this year would have broke the $600 mark. That's with supplementing with Evap cooling at night. Fresno summer is AC 24/7. Might as well be in Vegas!

On a side note, my mom financed a solar system with the power wall for night time use. PG&E has mandated that all customers shut off battery usage at night in case they need to shut off power during the day! The company that manages her system complied. She has a back up propane generator that kicks on during the day should an outage happen. She doesn't need to use the batteries, except for at night. Currently she's in the process of appealing, I doubt she'll get anywhere.
PG&E "Positively Godawful & Egotistical"

I had a loss of electricity the week of July 4. It went out on the weekend. After my handyman tried to fix it. Bigger problem. Sutter Electric tried and needed PG&E to fix the line to my house. They got here and the line had to be replaced. All happened in one day. Thankful for all involved. Thank you😄

PGE are Frauds and Liars

PGE are the biggest f****** liars out here in California. They claim they are aiming to lower costs which they are completely full of crap similar to dumb ass Newsome who runs this state. This f****** moron Newsome wants to go full electric this would bankrupt our state. My gas bill is $26 and my electric bill (only using my air conditioner) 3 times last month this a-holes still gave me a bill of $220. When I was living in the Midwest and using my AC all day and night during the summer still my AC bill never even hit $200 whereas in summer my AC bill will be $400 plus with these rat b****** PGE who clearly have a side deal with Newsome

2 power outages recently in 95762 for no apparent reason. Temps only in 80-90s.
Tired of resetting all my clocks, sprinkler timers, alarms, etc.
Worst company in history.
And getting price gouged on top of it all.
This company filed bankruptcy years ago.
Mismanaged on an epic scale.
Newest CEO says thumbs up with 1 hand and pulling more money out of our pockets with the other.
Why are they still here?
Corrupt California government looks to be the only reason.
Where is District 5 rep Tom McClintock and what has he done to expose the mismanagement and corruption? Could it be maybe he is part of the problem?
I hate PG&E and I hate our backwards liberal California government.

The PG&E A Team

My house recently experienced a partial power outage. After checking the fusebox and all other possibilities for the outage we decided to call PG&E. Within 40 minutes technician Derrick showed up, it being Sunday (Mother's Day) we were quite surprised at such a quick response. Technician Derrick spent over 2 hours to figure out the problem. He did a great job and never once seemed rude or impolite, instead he was able to fix it temporary till the next day when technician Mike and his crew was able to fix the problem. The wife and I were very much impressed with their professionalism. Ron, Ione, CA.

PGE sucks

California should have never bailed them out. If they had it their way we would all be paying thousands of dollars a month.

Outstanding Professionals

We rarely see people raving about their utility company. PGE is not perfect. BUT, when they get it right, it is outstanding. I called today for assistance with auditing my monthly bill. Nicole delivered an outstanding professional experience. Her help with plan and bill review was outstanding. Her plan suggestion will help us. PGE pricing can be frustrating and aggravating to simply understand. Reaching a person like Nicole who takes the time to honestly assist you is invaluable.

I got rid of my solar lease company

I got rid of my solar lease company. Switched with pge to regular billing in May of 2023. This month in April 2024 I get a true up bill for the whole year of 2023 when I was on regular billing. They would not admit their screw up and would not refund me for the true up even though they charged me regular usage for the whole year. A company makes 2.2 billion in profits for 2023 could not refund a person 430 dollars for their screw up. Don't care about customer service or struggling California residents

We had a 80 foot tree fall during our latest wind storm on a neighbors property that was then resting (being held up) on one of the PG&E power lines. I called 911 as power was out over a bigger area and I did not have a cell phone network. Within 20 minutes PG & E's sub HW was on the scene and they were great! They managed the site and communicated very well with all the neighbors. They stayed all night to make sure all the other subs were well managed and to make sure we were all safe. PG&E made a great choice in selecting HW for this important storm response. Thank you to everyone who helped.
