As I entered the facility I knew the experience was going to be unpleasant. Other reviews mentioned polite and patient instructors and I'm very glad for those that experience this but Nick and Shane were 2 of the most unpleasant bad mannered "teachers" I have had the displeasure of encountering. They started the day by berating a fellow student for leaving a helmet upside down despite them not knowing why this would be frowned upon. The rest of the session continued in much the same fashion, with simple mistakes being mocked sarcastically time after time. An example that comes to mind (following the brief introduction mentioning that no one would be judged for their errors) was Shane loudly saying he was judging a fellow student the entire time after he had crossed a curb. At this point they had not spoken to me very much, pausing me to correct my thumb being over the throttle which I promptly rectified. Low and behold at the end of the final off road training section (and not once before!) I was told I had been doing my controlled stops wrong the entire time. This made perfect sense in retrospect given that 1 instructor per two riders is legally necessary for the on road training. They needed to boot 2 of us off so that they could continue, as they had squeezed 6 people into the off-road section. In short if you want to be sarcastically made fun of and arbitrarily denied a CBT certificate so that you can lose £190 in the process this is the perfect site for you.

Reply from Phoenix Motorcycle Training - Foots Cray
Ive been there a couple times before and now for my children
It's a relaxed and welcoming place to go and feel safe and comfortable knowing you will be looked after and treated fairly.
Phoenix Foots Cray have taken me from complete beginner to a full motorcycle licence holder in space of 3 months passing my final test 4th July 25. The instructors are dedicated, very patient and professional. They made training a fun and positive experience. I passed my Mod 1 with no faults and Mod 2 with 1 fault which is a testament to the instruction and training they provide. I will without doubt be recommending Phoenix to anyone interested in getting their motorcycle license.
I had a Great experience at this centre.
Sean and nic were really friendly and gave you as much time as they could possibly spare to help you progress.
Will definitely be going back.
Paul was very good trainer and I really enjoyed of his teaching. He always was patient and corrected our mistakes.
Thanks you so much Paul.
Great attention to detail, constant dialogue.
Brilliant instruction.
Highly recommended.
It’s a great team at Phoenix and they offer advice training, insights knowledge and excellent overall confidence to anyone whatever the skill level is. Would definitely recommend the team anytime at all.
Great instructors and easy to understand, 10/10 would recommend
Excellent training with very supportive trainers (Nick, Mark & Wynne)
Fantastic experience - I went to Phoenix to begin my motorbike learning journey. While there, I had a few hurdles, especially considering it was my first time riding a motorbike. They supported and helped me learn through my various challenges, even breaking it down so it was more tailored to me. I appreciate the help provided by multiple instructors. I will be returning to complete my Full license and will share my experience afterwards as well.
I passed 1st time, Phoenix were invaluable to me, patient and thoroughly professional, special shout out to Steve B and Mark for helping with any questions which arose.
All in all a very good experience, although I would take your own gloves !!
Simply brilliant. Went for CBT. The trainers are so friendly and supportive and really know their stuff. The course is aimed at keeping you safe as a bike rider and keeping you safe on the road. The course was a lot more in depth than I imagined.. and by the end of the day I had learned skills that will most probably save my life. Highly recommended to anyone thinking about taking their CBT.
I took a back to biking training day with a Phoenix motorcycle supplied. I was not expecting 1-1 training but that is what I got with a fantastic instructor, Steve. I was asked what I wanted from the course, got a small bit of classroom time, then out on the training ground for bike familiarisation and manoeuvring skills practice.
The Kawazaki was easy to ride and control although I found the front brake a bit grabby. A lighter touch required perhaps. From there it was out on the road for a good long time including a stop for lunch. Coaching and instructions were very clear through a radio earpiece. Steve really new the roads and gave me a good mix of town and rural riding including some challenging bits. I learnt a lot and know what to work on to improve my riding.
Phoenix proved to be a very professional organisation. I had an excellent days riding with an examiner who brought me back up to date with legislation and honed my riding skills, giving me confidence. I would recommend Phoenix to anybody wanting to ride safely and enjoy riding a motorcycle.
Good Quality kit, great instruction from well informed professional staff. Sean provided clear instruction with great knowledge in a professional manner.
had such a great time doing my cbt with harry in Swanley, hadn't rode for over 30 years and was awful but with some good instruction and a little faith from Harry managed to get it together, now going to get a bike to practice on before going for a big bike test, looking forward to going back there so see yous soon
Nic & Mark were absolutely fabulous! Great instructors & very patient. They made my experience for my test so relaxed & calmed my nerves when needed. Couldn’t have wished for a better place to learn. Will be back for my next training session as soon as I can. Highly recommended & wouldn’t go anywhere else.
