Customer relations far from…

Customer relations far from satisfactory. They are very good at sending chat info but very poor at delivering goods. I had to chase up my order on numerous occasions. I eventually found that the product was being held by post office and I had to pay postage and customs. Four weeks later and after numerous chats I am still waiting for the promised refund. If you expect a quick delivery this is very unlikely with this company. Please steer clear of this company.

15 days and item has still not been delivered yet

Ordered item on 10 July 2024. It is now 25 July 2024 and I still have not received. On the initial order I was given an estimated delivery date between 12-17 July. Customer service just keeps reiterating it will be hear soon and just gives me tracking number.

Phonesrefurb has been my WORST online shopping experience

Phonesrefurb has been my worst online shopping experience

Where to start with this shambles of an organisation!

If you like waiting, chasing updates, sending a lot of emails, receiving noncommittal responses, chasing up even more, navigating a very poor website, waiting weeks for your device to arrive, paying customs charges when it does as it was posted from Dubai, finding it was the wrong colour, having to pay to return postage, chasing at least 3 months to get a refund (all communication over email), not being able to speak to anyone nor do they answer the phone, being asked (by email) to raise a dispute with your credit card company because they had a 'fall out' with the company they used to transact payments, wish you had never stumbled across their site but did so because you wanted a good deal, believe the above won't happen to you - then go ahead - but I really hope you don't!

Update: 14th August - I am still waiting for my refund and rather than address that, this business is trying to dispute my previous review.

Faith restored

Faith restored, took about 2weeks for my order to arrive, the support team did a brilliant job in ensuring the package was re delivered to the proper address. Despite the small hiccup I would still recommend buying here. The package arrived as described and didn't expect any less.

Scam

I have been chasing a refund of 399 since February 2024 for which I paid for a product which never arrived when promised. I wrote a previous review on trust pilot a few months back and the response states that they are sorry and are looking into it. They don't investigate it. They've ignored all my emails asking for updates. The number on their website is fake and doesn't connect. Total scam.

Do not purchase from this company it is a scam , tried to purchase a phone using 2 payment methods which they claimed had failed , offering a refund for no reason at all trying to encourage me to pay using a company called volt , they then send back partial refunds blaming my bank and PayPal for the issues , do not trust this company ,

I am absolutely asstounded that the company which still owes me £50 and by the looks many other reviews, owes other victims money ,has accused me of using a stolen credit card, I purchased the phone for £779 pounds , your refund included a payment of £720 and £9 , I have filed a dispute with the bank to which you so boldly claim I have stolen one of the credit cards to hopefully get back the remainder of the money you owe!!

If you have any issues with PayPal, please contact them directly. Your refund has been fully processed. being bitter because we will not ship a fraudulent order will not change anything.

DON’T BUY - MASSIVE SCAM COMPANY - REFUSED REFUND

This has been ongoing since April the 5th, and still to this day isn't resolved. I received my product with no issue, didn't want the product and returned the product to the sender. It has been returned for 2 months now, with no refund in my account. I have showed them bank statements to show I’ve had no refund. Im currently going through Trading Standards, but as they are a foreign company, they can’t do much. I think itll be a case of small claims court. Eitherway, the address the business uses is a P.O Box, used to forward ship items out to places not in the UK, the phone numbers a dead line, that therefore indications to me they are not a british company, and using a PO box to gain a company number.

I want my 109 pound back, I work hard to get my money while these people are sitting back ripping people off constantly. I have recently emailed them with no response. Im assuming they will respond to this saying oh we refunded you, they havent.

Im happy to get a lawyer to chase you guys, thats no problem. Look forward to seeing your petty reply to this review.

UPDATE:

They said if I removed my review I could get my money back, suprise suprise no money. Don’t waste your money or time with this company.

AVOID at all costs – a complete scam

He has no intention of sending you anything, he just wants to steal your money.

I ​paid £460 for an iPad in ​September 2023, and I was naïve enough to believe him when he said it was on its way, ​and after I cancelled ​when he said he’ll refund me in 7 days​. Then when I chased ​him up he said someone from the relevant team will contact me in a few days (OK I didn’t believe that one).

I’ve reported him to the Police, Action Fraud, Financial Authority, Google, Companies House, Trading Standards​ and Watchdog​. I took him to the small claims court, and he’s been ordered to pay me £519, ​and nothing received yet​, but I'm in contact with solicitors.

Apparently he's “always reachable” but the phone number ​doesn't work and he refuses to call me. And after ignoring my e-mails for months, today he replied with "we will not be participating in further email exchanges".

And I see he’s still persisting with ​writing fake ​5 star reviews (all from people who’ve never reviewed anything else) despite being busted by TrustPilot!

* Update: To PhonesRefurb, If you don’t like reviews like this, how about you pay me what you’ve been ordered to by the court, rather than unsuccessfully trying to get it removed because it was “harmful” (hilarious!).

Chats, emails and promises

I have been in contact with Phonesrefurb and they have confirmed that I will indeed receive a refund for the extra fee, and a gift as compensation for my inconvenience will be sent to me. I really appreciate this kind gesture and have therefore upgraded my review to 4 stars.

On 21 April I ordered a tablet from Phonesrefurb in London, as a present to my daughter, Estimated delivery time: 23/27 April, long before my daughter’s birthday half May.
27 April came about…. no tablet received. After several email and chat exchanges, in which I expressed my concerns about the delivery, I was repeatedly reassured that it was no scam and was promised that the tablet would certainly be in time for the birthday party (imagine a 16th birthday party for an autistic girl). So, I patiently waited until….
The day of the birthday! Still No Tablet! Try explaining that to an autistic 16 year old.
My concern transformed into anger, resulting into, again: exchange of chats and emails, and above all: promises.(chat: “Let’s see if we can make something special as a compensation for her”)
When finally the tablet arrived, I was appalled to find out I had to pay an extra fee of £27.67 because the package was sent from The UAE, not London! So again, chats, emails and promises (chat: “You can simply submit your receipt and we will reimburse you within 7 days” chat May)
Last time I heard from PhonesRefurb was 23 May: “You should expect to receive an update sometime this week”
Today we are 13 June:
- yes, the tablet arrived
- no reimbursement for the additional fee
- no promised present as compensation for the inconvenience
- late to no replies to my emails

It was not until after delivery that i became sure of the quality of my item, it is worthy of my purchase. I was surely afraid but in the end i was not disappointed and i love it. my headphones works flawlessly and i am willing to recommend.

I have had the worst experience with…

I have had the worst experience with this company. I bought these Airpods which they ensured would come with the box, and it did not. On top of that, their products come from abroad and you will be asked by fedex to pay import tax. They promised to reimburse me and 2 months has now passed and i have not received it.
They have no answers on their phone lines and extremely little response by email.
I could be wrong but i suspect that there is something off about this company and would not recommend at all. They have ignored most of my recent emails and I had to start proceedings at the small claims court and issue a letter before claim which again they have ignored.
If the import charges were not clearly disclosed during the checkout process, even if there's a separate page for terms and conditions, it could potentially be considered inadequate disclosure. The checkout process is a critical point where customers expect to see all costs associated with their purchase. Failure to provide clear information about import charges at this stage could lead to customer confusion or dissatisfaction.
I was not aware of the import fees to begin with and neither was it clear at check out. I was also promised maximum reimbursement by the team via email and to this day have not received this.

I got a genuine product

I got a genuine product, bought a black iPhone 15, came packed and sealed, it was delivered in 10days. Setting up the phone was easy, the condition of the item is as described, I checked the warranty and it still has 9months manufacturers warranty.
