The whole course and expecially the support from Matt and the whole team is nothing less than great.

The course structure is amazing.
As a trader 2years into my journey I was no stranger to any of the concepts but still couldn't confidently trade, had no trade plan and couldn't measure my progress. Photon has given me all this and more. The community is awesome and I am now confident and measurably progressing. The structure and delivery of Matts teaching is of outstanding quality and that's coming from an ex teacher(me). Photon is the best.

I’ve done several courses and bought into a few “mechanical system” providers and I can honestly say that the vast majority of them, particularly the more expensive ones run by veterans of the trading industry, have been an absolute rip off, promising everything and delivering sod all.

My experience with Photon has been very different. The coaches are very good. The course work provided is first rate. The resources are plentiful and cover everything from the basics to the advanced, from market structure and entry models, to backtesting and psychology, it’s all in there and it’s taught very well. My knowledge and understanding has increased tenfold since joining Photon and I wish I had started my trading journey with them. I would certainly advise anyone wanting to start trading to sign up with these guys.

However, I joined Photon because I wanted to pass a prop challenge, and I have not been able to achieve that despite working with Photon for almost a year. The set up and entry models they teach make perfect sense and, when they go through the back testing data, they work fantastically well. But when it came to my own back testing of the system and using it in live trading, it (I) failed miserably. I have taken three or four prop firm challenges since I started with Photon and I e failed every single one, not even close. I back tested for a years worth of data and the results were so bad I just stopped testing at around 11 months.

Now, I am fully aware that this is not necessarily a reflection on Photon and its strategies, and is more likely down to me and how I am interpreting or executing the strategies, but this brings me to my only complaint about Photon (and almost every coaching course I’ve done). It’s one thing to watch a bunch of videos, do some live community meets and have a Q&A section in your resources, but when things aren’t working I need someone I can speak to, so I can explain exactly what’s happening. I want to work through my trades with someone who can take a look at what I’m doing and tell me either “yes, you did that right but the trade just lost, it happens” or “no, you’re not doing that properly and I can see where you e gone wrong”, rather than just pointing me to an FAQ or Q&A section where I have to wade through a million Qs & As, which are all similar to my question, but not similar enough to provide a clear answer.

I am not a big community guy. I don’t sign up to these coaching/education courses for the community, I honestly don’t really see the point in them, and I find that many course providers, including Photon, rely too heavily on the community to carry some of the educational burden. Whenever I post a question in the Q&As sections I always find the response is either a bunch of differing responses from a bunch of different people or, if the coaches respond it’s usually along the lines of “what does the data tell you” or “rewatch the video” which may be technically the right answer but from a coaching perspective is about as useful as a chocolate BBQ.

I completely understand that time is precious and it’s perhaps not practical to pay close attention to the needs of every individual, I get that for sure, but the upshot is that I am three plus years into my trading education and I still cannot pass a prop firm challenge, despite the guarantees of the many courses I’ve signed up to, Photon included.

Having explained that one gripe (albeit quite a significant one) I would absolutely recommend Photon to anyone wanting to learn trading. It is without doubt the only course I do not regret paying for and I learned more in one month with Photon, for a couple hundred quid, than I did with entire course from other providers at the cost of several thousand pounds

Coaches reply to all messages and they ar really helpful. There are multiple ways to get in touch with them (weekly calls and discord).

Course content is well made and very extend.

You are not spoon fed here, their goal is to make independent traders. So students need to take much responsibility of their own journey.

In Photon they dont promise you moon from the sky, but they can definitely make you profitable trader.

I want to say a big thank you to Photon trading and the coaches, I'm french, and I have been focusing on my trading training for 2 years now.
The content of the training is very comprehensive and allows you to implement systematic intervention methods, particularly for day trading. Only a few months after joining the training I successfully validated a prop firm account. Of course I invest myself full time in this field. But the amount of dubious training, particularly in the French-speaking world, pushes me to say a big bravo to Photon trading, because the level has nothing to do with it.

This course is definitively the best that I have ever seen about technical analysis. Thanks, Matt, for creating this extraordinary content! Even though I have just watched it one time it has already made super clear for me how to see the price action and how to create a forecast without using even one indicator. Photon is in my opinion the best place to be if you are serious about trading. The course content and the daily analysis and support are supurbe.
You won't be spoon fed though, but If you're willing to put in the work. I would highly recommend!

I did the course over 3 month and did consider signing up for another 3 months, but ultimately I decided the content doesn't merit the cost.
My first issue is that it is promoted as mechanical in its application, but there is a fair bit of discretion needed.
I think to feel confident in the veracity of their claims they really need to do a live trade session once or twice a week.
When looking at the US500 trades they took and comparing it to another trader I follow on discord it was a good bit less successful and that was with them taking less trades, I can't really speak to forex trading.
It maybe helpful to some and so wouldn't say, not to take the course, just don't commit more than a month until you see if it's for you.

I have been trading since 2021 and joined Photon at the end of 2023, between those points in time I had been with multiple different courses and mentors teaching me about trading. I learnt a bit about becoming a better trader but nothing really worked but as soon as I joined Photon, and I'm not kidding here, my progress and performance has been better than ever before.

I think the reason it works so well for me is because of how well the course is structured and how it is taught. Matt is an exceptional teacher and just has a great way of compiling it into digestible pieces of information for you to apply to your trading in any area. His fellow coaches are really great teachers too and will help you through any bumpy roads you come across in your trading career.

It is expensive yes but the level of professionalism is top-tier, you will struggle to find it anywhere else. I've been in places twice the price for not even a fifth of what Photon is, so I would highly recommend you make the jump if you are on the fence.

I'm not here to bullsh*t nor am I being paid to write this review like some trading communities do for their reviews so I will say this one last thing. If you want to become profitable and an actual professional trader, this is the way.

The most complete and easy to understand course I ever do of trading. 100% recommended!

Course is great , very thorough and Matt is helpful and polite. I can recommend this course, it helps to see market sentiment.

In my opinion, this is the only program you need to become consistently profitable. There is no fluff in the content, it is straight to the point. In addition to giving you an exact strategy to follow, the coaches actively assist you in improving by providing feedback on your discord. Having worked with them, I am confident in recommending them.

I honestly cannot recommend these guys enough for anyone that wants to take trading seriously. I've learned an absolute ton in the space of 4-5 months being a Photon member. With well over a 100 videos, the course covers absolutely everything you need to become a successful trader. However, there are no shortcuts, you'll still need to put in the time and the work, but what Matt and his team have done is lay a clear roadmap for you to follow in order to get you to the promised land.

I have tried so many programs before, but none of them explained the ideas of the strategies as clear as Matt (Founder). None of them helped me build the trust in my own trading the way the coaches here helped me. And the most important part of Photon Trading is the development I have made as a person, not only as a trader, they have helped me build everything from the bottom to the very top, they have built and arranged the course exactly how it should be done. I’ve finished a Masters Degree in Engineering and had the opportunity to learn great things but honestly I have never devoured information at the speed and with the excitement I am doing it with the Photon Edge Materials!
Since the start of 2024 I started my trading journey and tried finding a trading edge that resonates with me.
There is a lot on the market and I was very unsure to pay (for the moment) that much for a membership.
But the price is absolutely reasonable for the amount of information you get. Also the quality.
And there also is the discord community where you cans ask and are treated respectfully and get the support you need.
At the moment I’m in my 3rd month of the membership and already have great results in my papertrading.
Back testing with the provided backtesting sessions week by week has been really helpful to diy and get Matt’s opinion.
I plan on working with a small account soon and hopefully, by the start of 2025, I’ll achieve to be funded!
