I like the tool in general
I like the tool in general, but it glitches A LOT! Nearly half the time I create a video, when it is downloaded, it will have random blank screen throughout the video. All you can do is start the project over again and hope that it downloads okay the next time. Sometimes I've had to do it 3-4 times, doing the exact same thing each time, for it to download correctly. I also paid for a subscription, then after 2 week it disapepared somehow and I had to subscribe and pay again, with no refund for the first charge.
Updated: After 5-6 days and this review, customer service did eventually respond. Because they at least tried to explain and make it right, I edited from a 1 to a 3 star.

Great for making quality videos. A super dashboard and easy to navigate. I've been with Pictory for 2 years and I'm renewing in November. The help,if needed is quick and respectful and very understanding. I feel I have been looked after from the beginning. I'm not a young man anymore,I'm 70 and I like good old fashioned customer service,which I get from Pictory. I signed up for Pictory to try and make…
I signed up for Pictory to try and make cartoon videos, I realised pretty quickly that it doesn’t' offer this feature but I made a load of other videos to make use of the trial. In the end I decided the platform wasn't for me so I tried to cancel before my trial ran out.
It told me that it would delete all my filed if I cancelled which I understood but I wasn't 100% sure I had downloaded everything, so when it offered to pause instead, I clicked yes.
It turns out it also charges you when your account is paused (only £1 a month still). So, I downloaded my date and went back to cancel, but it wouldn’t work. It's an AI chat bot that was just going round in circles and giving me error messages. I am guessing this is just glitch when you are paused so I emailed their customer support explaining what had happened.
They replied telling me I could pause my account if I wanted (basically the same message as the chat bot) when I replied saying no, I want to cancel, they just sent me a link to an article on how to cancel, which I just thought was so rude and unhelpful.
The guide just took me back to the AI chat bot that wasn't working, I tried again the next day and it seems to have cancelled but I thought it was really bad customer service to send me back to the thing I was telling them wasn't working.
The product itself is ok but could really do with more features.

Not good at all. I pasted a script and the video just did not match what I asked for. I can see why most A.I. companies are failing. I would prefer to just make the video on my own.

Don't waste your money not an effective AI
Don't waste your money, any regular video editors will do the same job, it's far from being AI., i had to do everything manually, and above this i used one voiceover in the free version, and when i upgraded the plan and paid 25$/Month, they removed that voice and asked me to upgrade to the higher one. Also the claim of 14 days trial was clear when i picked the monthly plan, but suddenly removed after i paid. i tried contacting the customer service and never received a response.

when you upgrade to a paid plan, the free trial ends immediately since the account moves out of trial mode. That said, I’ll definitely take your feedback into consideration, as we’re always looking for ways to make this process clearer and fairer.
Regarding voiceovers, access to certain voices does depend on the plan, but you should never feel like features are being taken away without warning. Works extremely slow compared to other similar platforms.
If you try and contact their chat support you will end up waiting for hours without a response so it is better to just send and email and you will get an answer in a few days.
Also asked for a refund on the day that the monthly sub renewed but apparently they don't do refunds even if you have not used the features.

Buying this is by far the biggest mistake I've ever made. It's been nothing but annoying. Absolutely nothing works, no customer service (they simply don't respond for days), when I delete a screen, it comes back, it automatically mutes, and much more. DON'T BUY THIS!!!!

Pictory sounds promising but the…
Pictory sounds promising but the software has lots of flaws, it ruined 6 of my videos. I really wanted to like this tool, but it’s been nothing but frustrating. The platform is full of glitches, the most serious one is the audio and voice going out of sync, making the final video unusable. On top of that, it often doesn’t save changes properly, so I end up redoing the same edits again and again. Another one of my videos froze half way through.
For a paid product, this level of instability is unacceptable. Instead of saving time, it’s cost me hours of extra work trying to fix mistakes the software created.
