Harrassing people

I cannot describe my anger towards this…

I cannot describe my anger towards this company, all they do is harass me. Sometimes it’s literally up to 10 times a day, constant emails,
Phone calls,
Text messages,
I’ve replied to each one saying the exact same thing. All they do is harass people to pay back money they should have never lent in the first place. Honestly it’s the worst company to deal with, so frustrating!

They are the worse company I've ever dealt with

I've been trying to deal with Piggy-Bank for a relative's debt (with their permission). They like to send plenty of letters and threatening, harassing emails but they don't like to respond to those you send to them.

They email making threats at 7am on a Sunday morning. Apparently they are going to call my relatives work and let them know about his debt. Although they have been informed on numerous occasion they are out of work and have been due to illness for a year.

They stated that my relative could make £2.00 a month payments back in October but aren't interested when they are told that bank transfer won't go through as the bank deem the payments as fraud and when you try to pay via card it comes back as 'error, transaction can not be processed'. (which they have received screenshots of) Now the first payment is overdue and the threats have started again.

They make false claims - we offered you to pay just £1.00 a month - They never have and they can't send proof of this.

They talk to you as if they are above the law. They don't go by any rules and regulations that as a company dealing with finance they have to adhere to.

After failing to hear from them about a complaint the financial ombudsman has now been contacted.

They are the worst company I have ever had to deal with.

Shady practices, illegal activities

Shady practices now they're in administration, breaking financial guidelines and statute of limitations, complaint pending with ombudsman and unable to get a response from company.

Glad they're in administration, vile company and practices.

Chasing me for a loan from 2013, see you in court.

Being harassed by these tools

Being harassed by this company for a while now over a loan I paid years ago. Chasing me for apparently still owing them money. Paid off in 2017 and still harrassing me on 2021. Been threatened and they say I am not paying on purpose when I have already paid and got the Financial ombudsmin involved for harassment and they are ignoring even them. They are vermin.

Complaint of irresponsible lending all…

Complaint of irresponsible lending all fine until handed to the process team.
I had a complaint case with Piggybank over irresponsible lending on 16th October 2019
This was then accepted by them for redress on 27th November 2019 and stated to wait 14 working days for Payne t to reach my account.
After sending emails asking to clarify the date I should receive this by on the 5th December 2019 I had no response as well as another email on the 10th December 2019.
I then took it on myself today to call them to make sure I will receive payment only to be told they went into administration on 5th December 2019. Followed by it’s been handed to administrators to deal with which they add I can not even contact and have to await a response from them.
They also stated that they had not had any team working in enquiries between 5th December to 12th of December to deal with customers which I find hard to believe as surely they need a team there to at least contact customers who have had a redress accepted and in the accounts team for process.
Now it’s taken me to phone them to be aware of this of which I probably would have never been told which is disgraceful as now with no work for the last month and in arrears I don’t even have enough time to look for work before the Christmas holidays to even have money for Christmas let alone money to pay debts and payments needed.
On top of that there is no guarantee I will get back the amount agreed which I have already prepared for having, which could also take months to receive anything.

I find it outrageous I or anyone else in my situation had not been made aware of this and expected customers to find out for themselves.
So merry Christmas Piggybank!! Thank you for ruining my Christmas and taking my stress levels even higher!
As far as it seems they were fully aware an administration was approaching which they stated didn’t know until the date they went into administration which I find hard to believe.

Affordability claim

Made an affordability claim with PiggyBank, pleased with the level of detail they provided and compared with other lenders it showed they did investigate it fully, instead of other lending providing a very small redress and no details. BUT where PiggyBank should complete their good service is making payments by faster payments and not BACS. Your customers want the refund in their accounts so it's safe, you have admitted it is due so pay quickly and then you would receive 5 stars.i was told payment would be made within 7 days and then later told within 14 days. It takes 3 days for a BACS payment to transfer, so I can only assume you make 1 BACS run per week ? I even offered to pay the cost of a faster transfer which I believe is between £15.00 and £25.00. Now I carry all the risk of another lender entering administration and getting nothing back. Your company was at fault for your lending criteria so make the process of refunds as simply as possible when fault is accepted. PiggyBank lines were closed today at 09:30 so phoned DJs today to ask if my refund had been included in the last BACS and told that no one in the team is in the office today and I need to call back on Monday. So the company that owns PiggyBank can't answer any questions and none of the customer staff are in the office today. This might be related to the website not being able to process applications for the past couple of days but it's not good that NO staff are able to provide a response.

Put an affordability compliant and was…

Put an affordability compliant and was satisfied with the outcome however was told last Tuesday that the refund would be with me ‘within the week’. I emailed yesterday to chase this with no reply and have emailed again today to chase with no reply. Having now been 7 days I assume this is enough time to process a refund given how quickly they can payout and take money? Disappointed as I was actually impressed with their customer service up to now.

Hi Robyn,

We're pleased that you have been impressed with our customer service thus far.

As we stated previously, the process would take 7 days and the refund should now be in your account. If it is not with you, please get in touch with us so that we can resolve this.

Kind regards,

PiggyBank

Once good, now intrusive time wasters.

They have went downhill ever since their recent changes, becoming intrusive and time-wasting. They used to be one of the few firms who seemed sensible/didn't try to sucker people into longer terms than they need at a high interest rate, and in a pinch could save you money on the comparative cost of bouncing on a bill. Now I've ended up with the cost of bouncing anyway because their decision process takes so long and wants to invade your privacy, despite having used them before and never having paid a penny late. They have lost a customer.

Hi there,

Thanks for your feedback.

As a responsible lender, we will never push our customers to borrow more money than they need to. Customers are still able to repay their loan early to save money on interest and our loan terms and values have remained the same.

We apologise for the inconvenience this has caused, we have had higher volume of applications in the last few days causing delays to our loan decision process.

If you would like to discuss this with us further, please don't hesitate to get in touch with us on 0800 206 1560.

Kind regards,
PiggyBank

Lack of communication

Completed the application, sent off all the required documents including the open banking and I have been waiting nearly a week and still haven’t received a decision or any response regarding my application.
