Extremely Disappointing Experience with…

Extremely Disappointing Experience with Pillway (SunLife). I transferred to Pillway through my employer specifically to better support my health needs. Instead, this has been one of the most stressful and upsetting pharmacy experiences I’ve ever had.
Despite submitting my refill request well in advance, Pillway messed up my address by failing to include my unit number. Purolator confirmed that the shipment was not labeled as medication and that the address error was the reason delivery failed. As a result, I am now without mandatory medication for three days.
What makes this even worse is that Pillway does not provide weekend customer support, unlike a regular pharmacy. When something goes wrong—as it did here—there is no one available to help, no way to escalate, and no contingency plan for patients who rely on daily medication. That is completely unacceptable for a service positioning itself as a healthcare solution.
This experience has caused unnecessary stress and anxiety and has directly impacted my health. I trusted this service because it was promoted through my employer and associated with Sun Life, but the lack of accountability, poor delivery handling, and absence of basic patient support have proven otherwise.
This has been a horrible experience, and I will be sharing this feedback with my company to strongly recommend that Pillway not be promoted as a reliable pharmacy option for employees—especially those with critical or time-sensitive medication needs.

Horrible "digital pharmacy"

This "Pharmacy" kept being pushed through the SunLife App. I did not realize that signing up for Pillway would legally transfer all of my prescriptions to this pharmacy in BC as it was marketed and framed as a "simple, digital way to see all your prescriptions". Now my pharmacy in Calgary, AB is saying they cannot legally refill my prescription. Pillway didn't even transfer over my most important prescription (the one I use the most frequently) even though it says "all prescriptions have been transferred". Customer Service has not gotten back to me. Their Chat Support on their website is also useless. Would NOT recommend. If you have SunLife, please be very wary about signing up for this "digital tool".

After 5 days of incompetent support I went elsewhere

Support staff asked a series of questions when I requested a refill, then after 3 days said "your prescription has expired". Suggested I use their "See a doctor" feature which I did, obtaining an appointment time and date. When no doctor called at the appointment time and date I made another inquiry. Now 5 days have expired and I am informed of an unwritten prerequisite that was not met. Went to a local clinic and waited 2 hours to receive a new prescription. Needless to say I am NOT a Pillway customer.

My insurance company recommended this…

My insurance company recommended this pharmacy. My first call was excellent. The woman was very helpful and I thought this was going to be great.

I then transferred my prescriptions over and nothing....didn't hear a thing.

Then my doctor sent a prescription over and...nothing. A week later I called and sat on hold..for 15 minutes..and then hung up on me. I called back...another 15 minutes and then a message saying calls above normal and will call back....but during the message it hung up on me...again.

I finally used the Chat function and they replied that calls are busier than normal....I'm guessing because my insurance company recommended them to other people. I have never spend 45 minutes on calls trying to get to a pharmacist....

I gave up...went elsewhere....terrible service.....

Always a problem

Both times I've used this service my order didn't come. I called and both times they told me it was a technical error and to have TIA health re-send the script. I just booked another TIA health apt with a doctor and i'm having it sent to shoppers. Much easier.

Sunlife why?

My benefits program partnered with them and so far it's been the worst app experience I've ever had. Support never gets back to you and the app is buggy as hell. I don't feel safe trusting my prescription needs with them.

The best pharmacy ever

The best pharmacy I have ever delt with, been with them for around a year. Pill packs easy to open, orders come on time and filled completely. Questions and problems are handled promptly. I have never had to call asking when my meds will be shipped or there are pills missing. Best of all I am saving $50 a month on my perscriptions with them. I wish more businesses were like that. Give them a try, maby you can save money to.
