It works well but the battery degrades very quickly. Plan to buy one even half a year if you want usable battery life.

I bought Pitpat for my Parsons Russel and am very disappointed with this product, compared to Tractive, which I use on my Beable its so very slow to show the location and then its not clear exactly where my dog is. Tractive shows the exact location immediately where ever we are and the name the location/street.. I brought Pitpat because the tracker was a little than the Tractive device but it just doesn't compare to the Tractive tracker.

I bought two of these. They seem like this sluggish to start with, but it’s more to do with the cellular signal in the area I live. The only downside that I have found so far within two weeks of using is the battery life we are in a 1 to 2 bar area and the battery last one day also the wire was charging on the supplied charger is not charging the unit to full even with 100 W USB charger. I have found that the new 25 W iPhone wireless charger does a better job charging the PitPat then charge provided. Assuming that the PitPat will last for 3 to 5 years then it’s a goodbye and will probably be as good as any other GPS system but cheaper to operate. I must add the customer service is extremely good and being UK based solve my problem through insufficient warnings on the app causing an accidental deletion of the dog profile after which you cannot reset it yourself. Customer service solve this for me within 24 hours and I have since set up a backup account in case the same thing again.

First time using a tracker and purposely wanted one we didn’t have to pay a monthly subscription for. For what we wanted - it’s absolutely perfect. Gives some general insights to our dogs activity. Wish we could put in his actual cross breed and get a little more back from the tracker in terms of his activity levels. He’s a Belgian Malinois x GSD so his activity and energy levels are normally high. That said, we could update his profile to Belgian Malinois. But what we can clearly see is how active he is, when he’s resting etc which is ideal to keep his activity and rest in check. It’s a great little bit of kit and god forbid if we ever come to a point we need to track him because he’s gone on an unsanctioned adventure 🤭, we will be very grateful for it!
