Great customer service but really disappointed with the food. We visited Pizza Express because our child loves it but we could get much better pizza elsewhere. My pizza was soft (only just cooked) and... See more

Pizza Express Eltham High Street
I went to Pizza Express in Eltham and as usual the food was amazing and very quick! My son had the picolo menu which he absolutely adores, the only negative I can give about that, is that the dough balls were not hot enough. Also, I think you need a little child’s menu and an older child’s menu which is bigger in my opinion as I would pay extra to have extra! My food was wonderful as usual and the server was very attentive and really great at her job! The only overall negative is that they forget to ask me about the rewards service and this happens at every Pizza Express which is a bit of a downer! I never get it scanned because I forget and the severs I’ve had, don’t ask either - unfortunately and annoyingly! Anyway, apart from those 2 minor inconveniences, we LOVE Pizza Express and will always eat here as it’s our most favourite restaurant!
If you could maybe look into those 2 points raised, that would be very good of you! Thank you.

Maybe the worst food i have had from PizzaExpress, Telford. There was hardly any toppings on the pizza. Half of it was burnt. The garlic balls was rock hard. There was no dip. The chips wasn’t cooked enough and was all cold

Unprofessional and Hostile Management
Unprofessional and Hostile Management
A couple of months ago, I visited the Pizza Express in St Martins with my family, and I was deeply disturbed by the unprofessional and hostile behavior displayed by the managers there. I could not help but witness the way they treated their staff with blatant disregard and hostility. At one point, these managers were practically yelling at their employees while they were simply delivering food to customers. Such treatment of workers is completely unacceptable in any workplace and tarnishes the reputation of the brand as a whole.
As a concerned customer, I politely pointed out to the female manager that she should treat her staff with more respect, only to be met with an eye-roll and a snarky remark. This type of behavior is not only unprofessional but downright toxic. It speaks volumes about the power dynamic at play here – a dynamic where employees are belittled and disrespected while those in management roles are free to behave in such a disgraceful manner without consequence.
I made a note of the names of the managers responsible for this appalling behavior: Nabeel and Veronica. I am not sure if they are still managing this branch, but I hope the senior leadership team at Pizza Express takes this feedback seriously. The mistreatment of staff by those in power should not be tolerated, and I urge the company to seriously reflect on the kind of leadership they are promoting within their establishments.
Pizza Express has long been known for its commitment to good food and hospitality. But this experience has made me question whether this branch, under its current leadership, truly upholds the company’s values. I sincerely hope Pizza Express takes responsibility for allowing this toxic management to persist and takes real action to address the harmful environment they are fostering.
As a parent, I was also humiliated for my children to witness such treatment of employees. I can only hope that they never have to endure this kind of disrespect when they enter the workforce. It was a painful reminder that good leadership and respectful treatment of others are essential values that every workplace should foster, especially for the sake of younger generations who will soon be entering the job market.

£55 for two pizzas and two cans of soda!
That’s more expensive than London and THE most expensive Pizza I’ve ever had anywhere, ever!
I’d like to say it was worth the money but it was average at best and not very hot!
Quality is not what it used to be
As another reviewer has stated, something has happened to pizza express pizzas. I thought this was a one off but after 3 similar experiences at different restaurants I now believe this is a new policy. The amount of cheese was negligible, the hole in my leggera pizza was far bigger than it used to be leaving a very thin strip of actual pizza around the outside and the extra toppings I had paid for were virtually non existent. Tasteless and rubbery.
What has happened to Pizza Express???
What has happened to Pizza Express? They used to be excellent pizzas, but I just received, through Uber Eats, North London, the worst of the worst. Both pizzas had dry bases, the minimalist of toppings and both was cold. The Margherita was the worst, while the Padana came a close second to being just as bad. And have they changed the base recipe?
I won't be making this very expensive mistake again.
School trip
I took my class on a school trip to the Macclesfield branch and it was a wonderful visit. The children had a fantastic time and all feedback was incredibly positive from both children and adults alike. The staff were so kind with the student who has the dietary requirements and it was evident that they were well trained and were able to cope effectively with all her needs - she was thrilled to have been able to take part.
The service offered is invaluable and extremely generous. Please know that it is experiences like these which remain in the children's memories forever. It might not seem like a big deal, but it really was.
Avoid like the plague
Rude management. The poorest customer service I have seen in a long while. Filthy restrooms with broken faucets. Dirty loos. Asked for the kids special and was charged full price. Had to get up from my meal and keep going to the management for missing things. I was met with nothing but hostility from the management, how dare I ask for a basic service?!?!
Always Delivers
Great attentive service in this restaurant even though it is regularly busy, they always seem to hit the mark
I certainly won't be returning!
I certainly won't be returning!! Service awful, food portions really small and tasteless for the price. My daughters pizza was dropped as coming to the table. No money was knocked off the bill for her pizza coming late due to the waitress dropping it!!
Awful service and experience at Leeds Dock
We asked if there was a table for 2, and told there would be a 5 min wait but there was space. Glad to find a place to eat out of the rain we were happy to be given a table. We ordered food just before 6:30pm, gradually realizing that the table we were on was shoved between a staff work area right next to a sink and the entrance of the toilets, we waited for our pizza (yes, pizza, not Confit de Canard) for over an hour. During this time, we had people queuing for the toilet right next to us and my partner was repeatedly splashed by staff using the sink that was directly behind her chair.
She kept pointing out to staff that they were splashing her and they apologized but they still continued to do it. We did raise the issue of the exceptionally long wait for our main course, and after another delay for managerial approval we were offered free desserts. After another long wait to be asked what desserts we wanted and another long wait for them to arrive, punctuated by some more splashing from the sink, we were stressed out by the experience and just wanted to leave without the free desserts. The supervisor/manager was very defensive, saying that customers have the right to refuse a table when offered, as if it is not the restaurants responsibility to provide a pleasant environment for all their customers and customers should 'risk assess' the table they are offered when arriving. They also told us that they don't normally have a table in that place, because its not a good place to have one, but they had to, because for 'emergency' reasons, i.e. they were very busy. In further discussion with the supervisor this explanation changed to something about how the owners insist on having a table there, but they don't want one there, but they have too? Not sure what they were getting at, but hearing this, along with the long wait make us, as customers feel extremely undervalued.
We ended up agreeing to pay less for our meal but the experience pretty much put us off Pizza Express for life.
Superb service
Went to the Bow St branch after quite a while. Great food, speedily produced, and best of all superb service from Noaim who remembered us after a gap of a couple of years.
