Waste of time and money.
Waste of time and money.
A few months ago I needed to make an international call so I topped up £5 to my account. Did not show immediately so I made the call through other means. Today I need to make another call and my £5 show as expired credit. Topped up another £5 and still the credit does not update. I call customer services and they don't know why the credit does not show in my account despite being authorised by my bank. Bottom line, I paid £10 to Planet talk and I need to use other means to make my international calls. Wasted money and time. Do yourself a favour, use other company, there are hundreds out there which will give you a good service
It kept connecting my calls to people…
It kept connecting my calls to people who spoke Indian language. I feel sorry for the persons who took my calls. Completely a waste of money. Do not use this company. I still have over £4 credits.
Rude Customer Service
Transfer £15 to my husband account,he could not get true to call Jamaica .I call customer service to report my transfer problems this guy was very rude told me that my husband use two minutes which was not true we will stop use this service.
Useless since they introduced calling…
Useless since they introduced calling via their app. Frequently doesn't work, highly unreliable. Time to move on.
Absolutely and utterly useless
Absolutely and utterly useless. For example I have attempted 30 times just now to call both my elderly parents in Ireland and call mostly doesn't connect and if it does ring it drops out automatically. This is how it is since I moved to this app 6 months ago.
Will use my credit and move to another lo call provider.
Planet Talk you should be ashamed, you're not even worth 1 star
Been a customer for many years
Been a customer for many years, but in many occasions, despite having active credit left, found I had no credit left.
Switched to Toolani, cheap and reliable.
Still want to know what as happened to my credit... about £13.
Appalling customer service
Appalling customer service. I paid in money and have never been able to make a single call. I have spent an hour on the phone to PT to no avail. Uninstall, reinstall, blah blah blah. Don't know is the default answer. Look elsewhere, there are plenty of alternatives out there. I'm not recommending any just advising against this one. Do you really want family or business comms wrecked by a shoddy operator? Good luck.
Time to leave after 18 years of…
Time to leave after 18 years of transatlantic calls which were were good value but now I can get calls for free on Facebook & by dialing an 0330 number..Calls have been constantly dropped 0ver the last 2 years & I'm tired of the "credit remaining" message I get with the dropped calls & I'm cut off...Having to top up every 6 months or risk losing your remaining credit ( £24 in my case ) was what made me look elsewhere and I've found other companies you can pay for minutes that do not run out if you fail to top up twice a year....Prices are/were competitive but you cannot beat free and those calls that kept getting cut off & required me to dial again was the last straw...There were times when I had a 30 min call cut off on 5-6 occasions & would have given Planet Talk UK a 1* rating, but it's time to move on,as i only call the USA twice a week & I've found a more reliable provider(s)...
