flse information/deceptive descriptions

Do not purchase, the plant will not come planted in the pot of your choice, like stated in the FAQs section on their website. It comes in a generic plastic planter and you have to transfer, because it looks ridiculous if you place the planter in the pot. You will need to buy more soil, because there is not enough to place it in the pot. Better off going and buying the same $135 dollar plant for $20 and planting it yourself in a cheap planter. I paid these high prices expecting a plant in a pot, not having to do all of the work myself. They will disregard everything valid that you can prove on their website and make excuses

Plants.com is a BS company

I bought a palm tree from this company, on the side it reads the tree is 9 to 12 inches. However, the tree is actually 6 inches, when I got a hold of the company they said the measurements were correct because they measure from the bottom of the container to the top of the leaf. This is ridiculous. I will never order from this company again. This company should be investigated and shut down.

Wish I would have looked at reviews…

Wish I would have looked at reviews before ordering. I also wish I could post a picture of what I ordered and what I got. It's so pathetic it's almost funny. Think of Charlie Brown Christmas tree. Never again will I order from here and I strongly suggest nobody else does either.

This is a scam

I could've purchased the plants from Home Depot, Lowe's or any local nursery for a much cheaper price than plants.com but I purchased several indoor plants from this company because the pots looked stylish. One of the plant arrived in a broken pot and I contacted Customer service to get a replacement but I didn't get any valid response other than an automated notification ticket. I contacted them again 2 weeks after but only received the same exact automated email notification. They have the worst customer service as there's no service at all!!! DO NOT BUY PLANTS FROM THIS COMPANY. It's a huge scam!!! It's better to buy your plants from the local nursery and get the pot from Amazon

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service. I ordered a plant and after waiting 2weeks I called and they said they didn't have anymore of that particular plant. I asked for a refund....it's been over a month!! I've made several calls and still no refund. I will never recommend this company to ANYONE!!

Do Not recommend if you want to actually get a plant

I ordered a plant as a gift for a friend. The delivery was delayed and ultimately never delivered. The “proof of delivery” was a picture of a bunch of boxes at a random location- not at the address provided. I reached out requesting the item be resent but they said the picture counted as proof of delivery… extremely disappointing I paid for a plant that was never delivered and they would not take any corrective action.

I got a plant for my birthday…

I got a plant for my birthday from a family member that I have not seen, talked to or heard from in over 4 years. It didn't come with instructions or even the name of the type of plant it was. The Box said to water it. I took it out of its decorative pot and put it in a regular pot where it wouldn't be sitting in water and it died within two weeks.

AWFUL

AWFUL! TERRIBLE QUALITY!! do not order plants from this company, one turned up out of its pot all completely shaken up, soil everywhere and the other 2 that were very large and expensive are the worst quality I’ve ever seen, yellow, brown and look infested with spots all over them.

I ordered a lavender plant to give my…

I ordered a lavender plant to give my god-mom for Mothers Day; the plant was dead on arrival.

The company has asked me to send pictures at least 3 different times. Each picture I’ve sent shows the plant in worsening condition. It arrived dead, now it’s just drying out! The company initially offered to just send me a replacement plant, which I declined—Mothers Day has passed! They then offered me a refund in the amount of $8.99, despite the plant costing $48. They then offered me a 50% refund + a new plant, again I declined this. The call center refuses to connect me to a supervisor.

At this point, I will be pursuing legal action. They are clearly engaged in consumer fraud, and they have tried this with the wrong person.

Plants arrive in horrible condition.

So I ordered a gardenia plant for my Mother for Mothers Day and it arrived in total chaos. The metal container it was in was almost bent completely in two and the plant itself was covered in dirt and was in horrible shape. I contacted plants.com and they immediately offered to send a replacement. Great! The replacement was also just completely beat up and the plant was less than half the size of the original one. I then was offered a 50% refund. Gee thanks. Clearly whomever packs these up doesn't have the correct materials to get them somewhere in decent shape. I won't be ordering from them again.

This company was almost perfect but good company overalll

This company was almost perfect. Both of my orders came to the recipient looking just like the website picture and arrived on the correct date ! The only thing that I didn't like was that they didn't tell me about their sale and free shipping when I was ordering on the phone. But they then credited me the shipping . I plan to order again in the near future. I think they are a good company .

Lost in the Mail???

I ordered a bamboo plant January 26, 2023. It was shipped January 31, via 2 day priority mail (FEDEX). Today is February 6, 2023 and it still has not arrived with another message regarding another delay. Nice to give a gift of a dead plant to someone. Customer service was unapologetic except to refund the 2 day shipping cost.

Poor quality and customer service

Ordered a plant to be delivered to a memory care facility and sent pictures to customer service provided by the nursing staff. Plants.com customer service said they are unable to open attachments and requested cut/paste and fullsize picture of the watery ball of mess. Asked for a valid email to send pictures as I am not at a desktop to cut/paste and the plant was already thrown out by the nursing home. Would not recommend and will not order again. Go with a different company. They will take your order and money without any guarantees of delivery time and/or quality.

2 Stars because the do respond to emails

Plant did not arrive as advertised. Their solution is a tiny gift card to apply to another purchase. Not a good solution.
Will never buy from them again.
False advertising.
No guarantee on plants.

All but 3 plants are dying or dead

All but 3 plant have died. Of the 7 I purchased, the AV had gnats, the Mums were not very lush and too late I found spider mite webs covering most of both plants. The Gardenia arrived in ok shape but is dying for no apparent reason. The Cala Lilly looks like a weed in a pot. I wrote to Co. and they wanted photos. I sent photos. Ironically,the photos I submitted, although not nearly as full and colorful as marketed, sure looked a lot better in those photos than they do now. $400 for 3 still alive plants.

This is classic Chris McCann company…

This is classic Chris McCann company which is nowhere run like his father. I have order 8 times from different companies of theirs and every order except one has either been wrong or never delivered. I got a crap plant (not even what I ordered) from plants.com and their "customer service" is so incompetent it is unbelievable. I have sent them the same picture they asked for 3 times. One rep told me they couldn't open a .jpg file. Seriously? Don't waste a nickel on this company. I will just block the credit card and never again buy from any company associated with the once wonderful 1800flowers but now is torn down by his kid (as most are).

Poor quality; unable to review on their site

Poor quality. I ordered a Mother's Day gift which was an arrangement of tulips and little purple flowers. The description said that it would have blooming flowers and some buds. It was all "buds" at best. There were only tulip buds as well and no purple. I felt pretty bad not doing better research and using a different provider. WORSE still: they will not let me review them on their own site. The reviews posted on their own site are suspect.

I'm WITH the myriad BAD reviews…

I'm WITH the myriad BAD reviews especialy since I spent 85 dollars for 'starts' not plants. Very disappointing...at least I didn't waste time trying to contact P.com as I assume customer service is as bad as the products/plants it sells. Save your money, shop elsewhere!
