Hi there! This does sound frustrating, however it does not relate to PlaytestCloud. With PlaytestCloud, testers do not accumulate points. Instead, the reward amount in USD is in the invite email and that amount is what they earn. As a result of this review being related to another service, we have flagged it for not being relevant to PlaytestCloud.

Have been signed up for more than 3 months and aven't got any offers, although they are very eager to collect every last bit of info about you.

Beware of this company
Beware of this company. They collect your data literally everything. Location, name everything. Then you are not eligible for any job with them. I gave about 10-12 reasons and goals that I achieve while playing. And they reject every time telling me that I do not qualify because I did not present enough goals while playing.

PlayTest: Would not recommend
Sure, it pays out to PayPal… DEBIT CARD, so you have to get a PayPal debit card (with PayPal debit card fees) to be able to spend the payout. I would not recommend PlayTest to anyone.

Hi Tina, this isn't correct and I'm sorry for any confusion. We have the following reward options:
• Virtual visa cards
• Virtual gift cards
• PayPal payments, which go straight into your PayPal account, rather than onto a card.
• Charity donations
If you received the funds but PayPal isn't allowing you to withdraw or access the funds, that sounds like a PayPal issue. I hope you're able to get it sorted!
Now a scam I think .
I don’t know what they’re up to , but I was sent email after email, either preparing me for various playtests on certain days , actually giving days to keep times free for testing , or to keep my profile updated etc etc , when in reality I haven’t received one playtest in the five years of emails . A waste of time . Possibly a scam , possibly information gathering . Just avoid them .

This sounds like an awful experience and I'm really sorry. The email series you received is our way of sharing helpful hints, but unfortunately we can't guarantee everyone who is accepted will be sent requests. Our customers select exactly who they need for each playtest, and it's possible that your profile just hasn't fit a playtest in your region or demographic yet.

Used to be good 1-2 years ago but is now a scam. This year they started having dodgy errors with their app when it wouldn't let you complete tests but would still upload most of it, so you would do the work, but for free. Reported this but was brushed off with them blaming my phone. Changed my phone, then they said they had no idea what was happening. Once they fixed the issue I tried testing again and surprise surprise, I realized they stopped paying. Completely! They claimed something was wrong with every test. Something else every time. Oh, you should speak up more; oh, there was a noise; oh, change your headphones. Every single test! Not sure what happened to them but they are now a scam company.

Andrea, this is absolutely not the way we do business and I want to apologize for your experience. We can tell you that if a tester isn't paid or a video is marked as incomplete, it is NOT delivered to the customer. We don't expect anyone to work for free and while we've significantly increased our quality standards for playtest videos (with regards to audio, clarity of voice, internet connection speed) it's also possible there was a technical issue.
If customers can't hear your "thinking aloud" during play, or they can't see your screen, unfortunately the test is not usable. We'd be more than happy to look into your account and check your technical issues if you contact our support team: help@playtestcloud.com.

Shady, and randomly stopped paying
I did few tests, and they went fine. Then they started giving me longer tests that supposedly paid more, and twice in a row they told me they "couldn't understand me" and didn't pay me. The second time I had even made test recordings for myself beforehand to make sure they could easily be heard. They could understand me fine in all my other tests, and then somehow couldn't pay the big tickets. As far as I'm concerned, they still owe me for 2 hours of my time. Stay far away.

So sorry you had this experience! We have increased our quality standards for playtest videos (with regards to audio, clarity of voice, internet connection speed). Each video is checked by our team for meeting these standards.
If customers can't hear your "thinking aloud" during play, or they can't see your screen, or if there is significant lag, unfortunately the test is not usable. If a test is marked unusable and not paid, it is NOT given to the customer. We don't expect anyone to work for free.
