Applied for the Solar interest free…DECLINED no reason.

Applied for the Solar interest free loan. I have no debts, A house with a tiny mortgage on it, a second income earner and they declined me for a 10k finance. I rang up twice asking why. Both staff members (different people) gave me the EXACT same replies, word for word on the lines of we can't tell you why it got declined. They requested a "Rental Statement" from me even though I'm not renting. I can't give a form for something I don't rent.

While all of this is going on, my dad who earns the same money as me who is 30 years older got approved. At this point I don't trust them at all. The customer service is terrible. If they reply to this, I'm sure it will be the same copy + paste template they send to everyone else who has complained. 1/5

This includes reviewing employment details, income and expenses, financial commitments, bank statements, and information from credit reporting bodies. We also rely on credit file information provided by our bureau partners, Equifax and Illion. If you’d like further insight into your credit file, you may wish to contact them directly.

It’s never our intention to come across as scripted or dismissive — our team provides consistent responses to ensure we remain compliant and protect customer privacy.

Regarding the request for a rental statement, this can sometimes be triggered by how residency or living expense details are recorded during the application. If you’re not renting, we understand how that request would have been confusing, and we apologise for that oversight.

We also appreciate that comparisons to another applicant, even a family member, can raise questions. Please note that each application is assessed individually based on the full financial profile at the time of submission.

Brilliant Easy to access website

Brilliant Easy to access website, great rates
and super helpful customer support team.
I also got competitive rates for my loan.
Documents uploaded in the morning and loan amount was disbursed into my account by nex day.
The account portal is also easy to navigate.
Would highly recommend Plenti

This is the third time I am getting a loan from Plenti. The process has always been smooth and easy to go through. Staff has always been happy to answer questions and provide support if required.
