My trip to Peru in July was incredible! I ticked so many bucket list activities off in a short amount of time. Even when I was sick our lovely guide Deb was there to support me and help me back on my feet. It was a very full on trip but definitely a once in a lifetime opportunity, I couldn’t recommend it more 💕

I recently went on Plotpackers Peru Trip in July. It has been a dream to go to Peru and machu picchu and the trip didn't disappoint. Deb was our plotpackers host she is Peruvian so had all the local knowledge so we felt like we were in safe hands. She helped us with any problems or logistics, she was amazing, happy and friendly and joined in with all the activities.
Plotpackers itinerary was actioned packed but it didn't feel overwhelming it was well organised and it was lovely to travel with a like minded group of individuals.
My only notes would be though the itinerary has pictures of boat trips non are included and on the last day you can take a train back to cusco from machu picchu as it's a long day travelling for the last day of the trip and book an extra day so you can climb Rainbow mountain 👌 as the altitude hit is real.
I had an amazing trip and would book another Plotpackers trip.

My plotpackers group trip in Peru was an incredible experience thanks to all those that made it possible. The itinerary ensured we could see some of the most amazing parts of peru, from the coast and the desert, to lake titicaca and of course an amazing jungle trek to Machu Picchu. It would be easy to go just for machu picchu, but all the other experiences were just as magical. A million thanks to our guide Deborah, who shared with us so much of her expertise, her culture and her beautiful country. She was patient, respectful, helpful and so kind, making me (and our group) feel well cared for and giving us the opportunity to truly experience Peru as travellers. Our trip leader Dominique was also amazing, she really made our group feel like a connected team, was conscientious of everyone and brought so much fun to the adventure.

The group we had was amazing the activities were just as good but the tour guide josselyn made my experience even more extraordinary, she was so kind and helpful and she is definitely an asset to your team.

My personal experience with plot packers was great. I done the Peru adventure trip and it lived up to all expectations.

Our tour guide jossy was particularly exceptional, always there for us when we needed. Super informative and such a great energy.

This 12 day trip to Vietnam has been by far one of the greatest experiences of my life! The country and the people were just utterly gorgeous. What made this trip so perfect was our guide Nick. Nick very quickly became a friend on this trip rather than a guide. His knowledge and understanding of the country was vast and engaging. Becca and Nick made the trip the rich and special adventure that it was. Without Nick this trip would have been a morsel of what it turned out to be. I’m enormously grateful to have been part of it. Our tourguide, Dario, did an amazing job! Super friendly and has lots of knowledge of the jungle and Quito. He took time to make pictures of everyone and made sure that everybody had a good time! He made the trip ten times better. Because of him I had the best week in Ecuador!

My experience was great because we had the best and most helpful guide that went beyond and above for our trip. I always felt safe and understood, even when I had a tough time with sickness.
He also gave so much of himself and really did everything he could for us. I am so grateful for having Hugo as my guide. Also he was local so he had so many great recommendations. I really felt like the group was a family who took care of one another.
I also want to say that the amount of information we got was just perfect, I felt so informed and safe even before the trip started. And during the trip we always got enough information about the plan.
This was an experience of a lifetime which I will never forget.

This trip to Peru was absolutely great! Our guide Sol was lovely and she really helped me and was there for me when times were more difficult! I miss her already :). I loved every bit of it. Only little tip for plotpackers; the hostels/hotels were sometimes reaaally cheap (moldy and old). Not the Viajero ones, they were amazing! So if those kind of hostels could be used in all the other places that would have been even more great. The glamping and the jungle trek were definitely my highlights, such a cool experience.

My tour guide Hugo along with all the great girls made my experience. All the excursions were amazing and all the locations were beautiful! Only part that was a little annoying was the Palomino hostel that played music until 4am. Overall fantastic trip and fantastic guide.

I’ve been on several PlotPackers trips now and every one of them have been incredible. This Ecuador trip specifically holds a special place in my heart because of how unique the Amazon experience was. Our guide Dario was so knowledgeable in not only Ecuador’s history, but all of the species of animals/insects. Our host Lara was so incredibly nice and did her best in making sure everything was going well for everyone. I will definitely book more trips with her in the future! The trip would not have been as great without either of them! They were both there to help out throughout the entire trip and you cannot ask for anything more!

The trip was absolutely amazing! Our tour guide Dario knew exactly which places were the best to visit. The jungle was definitely a highlight!! I saw so many animals, and Dario always had something to share about each one. Ecuador was truly incredible, and I would return without a second thought!

Had the best experience with plotpackers!

Our guide Deb’s was amazing honestly the best guide I’ve had on a trip. Add to that taking with this with Dominique and you have the best combo you could have asked for.

I was on the Plotpackers Peru trip from July 15–26, and I’m genuinely disappointed by how poorly the trip was handled from start to finish. What was advertised versus what we actually experienced were completely different — and when real issues were raised, the company chose to deflect, dismiss, and gaslight rather than take responsibility.
To begin with, many of the “included” activities came with surprise out-of-pocket costs. We were only told about these fees at the last minute, which felt misleading and unfair. The same happened with transportation — several of us had to pay extra for transfers we weren’t told about until just before they happened.

In Aguas Calientes, four people were placed in a room with visible mold. Two of them had asthma, and instead of moving all four guests immediately, the company initially tried to move only the women and leave the two men in the same moldy room. Only after the men pushed back repeatedly were all four finally relocated. The rest of us were left in rooms that also had issues (mold not as bad as others), but it was clear that unless you made enough noise or had a medical reason, your concerns would be brushed off. It created an environment where many felt discouraged from speaking up.

When we reached Puno, a large portion of the group got sick — likely due to altitude, the cold temperatures, and the poor accommodation conditions. The rooms were freezing, with window panes that didn’t close properly and let in constant cold air. Despite being told we’d have warm or hot showers throughout the trip, we regularly had nothing but freezing cold water.

The so-called “hot spring” experience was another letdown. The water was lukewarm at best, and we were told there would be hot showers available afterward — there weren’t. Again, we were misinformed.

Our group guide was practically nonexistent. Aside from copy-pasted WhatsApp messages sent each night — often with inaccurate or outdated info — there was no real guidance or support. When many of us were sick, the guide was completely absent and unresponsive.

When we finally shared all of these concerns, Plotpackers offered a £100 travel credit — something they regularly give out as a promo. It felt dismissive and performative, not a real attempt to make things right.

At the end of the day, this trip closely mirrors the Peru Hop itinerary — only with Plotpackers, you’re paying a premium for far less transparency, no real support, and a company that refuses to take accountability when things go wrong.

Plotpackers markets itself as a women-owned, small business that curates meaningful, community-based travel. But what we experienced was the exact opposite: mismanagement, dishonesty, gaslighting, and indifference. I would strongly advise others to avoid booking with them. They’re very manipulative and will gaslight you everytime.

This was my first group trip ever anywhere and I felt very safe and didn’t have to worry about anything all along because my guide, JD (!!!), was on top of every detail, timestamps, location and has an immense knowledge about Colombia. He never got tired of answering questions about everything and nothing:) He was both professional and fun to be around. We would receive a very well thought out plan in our WhatsApp group every day so there was never any doubt for us in the group about what was going to happen each day of the trip! JD is so organised and a very good communicator. He has years of experience with private group trips even though he is young;) He made me feel so secure and taken care of. I loved every second of it. I fell in love with Colombia! Thank you, JD.
