Unreliable thieves

If you cancel your free trial, as opposed to honest companies they will not let you continue until the time runs out, they block you immediately. So they try to earn money on people who forget to subscribe and not by users who honestly like their service.

Once i subscribe I found out that the course i was interested in required an even more expensive subscription but there was no info about that on the course.

Please do NOT support sites that earn money by deciving users. There are other more honest like coursera and udemy.

BLOCKED FOR NO REASON??

I signed up in April in order to do required upskilling for work. Pluralsight has repeatedly blocked me for apparently breaching terms of service stating that my activity is unusually high . I have simply been watching alot more content than usual. They blocked me around 9 to 10pm all 3 times before the permanent block. I have not done anything wrong except use the service.

They keep sending me a link to the terms of service but cant even tell me what the actual issue is??? Naturally if I knew I would fix it.

I paid A FULL YEAR SUBSCRIPTION, they have BLOCKED ME WITHOUT REFUND which I find absolutely disgusting!!

I will be taking legal action since I have paid for a service which they now refuse to deliver.

DO NOT TRUST PLURALSIGHT WITH YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!! they are unethical thieves!!!!

I will never use or recommend their services ever again!!!!

I contacted my ISP and they said everything looks fine and there are no issues.

Excellent knowledge but poor delivery

Hi I am so excited about pluralsight they have VERY knowlegable people there. However their are not able to teach. The speak in a manner that assumes one knows more that they actually do.

I am taking the begginers python course and find that I have to substitute EVERYTHING that they say with other books JUST so that I can understand some of the things that they are saying.

It could be better.

I am a teacher and would be able to help them in their course content and delivery. Free of charge just to ensure that the content comes across in a clear and concise manner.

Requires Premium membership?

I was browsing Pluralsight and noticed some nice lectures about some topics. I decided to make a monthly subscription in order to view the lectures. After payment, I tried to watch the lectures, however the only thing I got to see what a message saying: "my subscription does not allow watching this lecture". I need to upgrade to premium membership.

Pluralsight does not inform the users that a specific lecture requires premium membership. I happened to find out because I complained to customer service.

I joined after previewing a 2 hour…

I joined after previewing a 2 hour course, I wanted to take. I do not needed any certifications or to take tests. After paying the money for a subscription and then trying to click on the course, it said I need to upgrade to Premium (in the signup area it said this is for certifications). This course is not a certified course. There is NO way I am paying $45 for a 2 hour course when I can FREE content on video sharing sites (I don't even need to watch advertising on the video sites I use). No Thank You Pluralsight I cancelled my subscription!

High quality courses, terrible quality website

Good quality videos and courses, however both the offline player and website have constant massive technical issues and bugs:

* Very expensive compared to similar sites, which would be justified if not for all of the bugs on Pluralsight's end.

* Online player buffers the clip completely, but then consistently and frequently stutters every few seconds. I have found no way to fix as supposedly with the clip fully buffered, it shouldn't occur.

* Very slow server responses, signing up and joining can be a 30 minute wait, after paying ~£25pcm I had to wait for almost 40minutes to be able to access any content.

* The offline player has even more bugs, such as corrupted audio for clips, not recognising you are a paid member or even logged on to access the content.

* The offline player also doesn't play clips at certain speeds, meaning you have to change the speed of the video to watch it, and then change it again for the next clip. This can be very frustrating when each clip is generally only a few minutes long

* I have tried to provide feedback on these issues multiple times, but never had any feedback or assistance for how to possibly remedy any of these, or even help on what I may be doing wrong.

Chasing individuals to use business plan

When an individual with an personal email address is being notified of a breach of T&C, instead of reaching out first. You know that either their priorities or customer relations are on money making instead of maintaining good customer relations.

Because of this situation i am less likely to recommend them anymore. And even thinking about moving away from them. Good job, pluralsight!!!

Pluralsight is ran by Racists!!

Pluralsight is ran by Racists!!! And I'm not talking petty 'something offended me and I'm black so therefore it's RACIST!' type racism. EVERYTHING is based on sterotypes, their commercials flat out call different races 'Lazy' while calling other races 'Genius'. When I say they call difference races lazy or a genius, i LITERALLY mean that, this isn't verbatim but they say racist stuff similar to 'Jimmy a White man is a genius' compared to 'Dwyane a black man, is lazy.' They are not trying to attract business based on their services, they are perpetuating sterotypes to target racists who hate a specific race that will eventually create violence targeted towards these racial groups.

A huge number of out of date courses

A huge number of out of date courses in software development and cloud. Of those that are up to date, the content isn't always accurate.
I've reverted back to printed books that are peer reviewed and edited prior to publication.

Stay away, they are not to trust.

I purchased a 1-year personal subscription with them with the purpose of having the classes in Prince2 and ITIL. After half a month, halfway in a course, without warning I cannot access the course anymore. I contact Pluralsight that confirms that the courses has been withdrawn when they are in an disagreement with a supplier. I told them that I purchased a subscription just because of that courses and asked them how they are going to compensate for that. No compensation what so ever, they offered me to cancel my subscription so when a year has gone (in about 11 months) I don't have to pay more.

I’m fully aware that there could be changes in the content, however take away those very popular and new courses is a major change in their offer and if you take away anything you need to give a warning in advance so people could finish what they are doing.

My suggestion is stay away, they are not to trust.
If you take away the review with "Invited" reviewers you will get a better picture of who they are.

Not refunding me after agreement

I found this review site after googling whether or not Pluralsight is a scam and I am pretty disappointed, considering that they are holding on to over $400 of my money that I need refunded. I had seen that they had a promotional sale in December 2020 which took about $150 off of their premium membership.

I signed up for the trial period to make sure I wanted it, and 3 days into the trial they charged me FULL price. I immediately emailed them and asked why I was charged for a trial. I was told that I never signed up for a trial, which was an outright error or lie. The latter I am leaning towards now. Anyways, even if I did sign up for a membership, why was I not charged the promo price? I asked that during the emails and no one answered me.

I settled for a refund, then re-buying at the promo price. It has been a week and nothing on my credit account has changed. Im currently bugging them for a full refund because this is extremely sketchy.

Not to mention that there's no one on their "phone support" line.

Service Quality Is Way Bellow Expected Level

First on all when I tried to register, it said - my outlook.com email is invalid. When I contacted them, they said, they want a screenshot of my computer. I sent it to them.

After registration, my account got blocked. They said to send them a email or something. When I tried to send the email, it said "ac.mta1vsmtp.cc.aws-usw2b.prd.sparkpost rejected your message to the following email addresses: Pluralsight Support (###)" - what ever that means. I somehow managed to overcome that. Then when I asked for more clarification about the issues with their service - they replied and I quote "Sharing our terms of use ### suggest you to go through for more clarification."

To be fair with them - after all these, I said some bad things to them. Then another customer service agent stepped in and partially solved my problem.

P.S. I replaced the email and url from the quote with ###, as trustpilot do not allow it.

Windrush Scandal all over again

The courses seem good enough. But Pluralsight seem scared stiff of someone scraping the courses from their website. They run some sort of abuse-of-service detection that will misfire and willy-nilly block you. Then support blames you for scraping, and refuses to tell you what you've done to cause the block. You cannot change your usage behaviour, the same thing happens again, and you're permanently barred. You may well not get your money's worth of tuition from the service.

Underhanded scammers

Like many other businesses, I have had to navigate my business through very difficult trading conditions in the last 9 months due to the global pandemic, including having to regrettably make many redundancies.
On Sept 10th I received from my Account Manager an "Early renewal - offer". I contacted him within few days saying that I was not interested in renewing due to company financial situation. However, I was informed that I was too late.
It turns out that, even though I received a "Early renewal offer" on Sept 10th, this was in fact the last day to submit a cancellation request for my company's subscription. No prior comms (calls or emails) were sent to me to inform me of the upcoming annual renewal.
Despite my numerous emails, my so called account manager did not send a single reply.
I have instead started receiving emails from their Account Receivables department informing me that my renewal invoice was past due.
I have tried to reason with them that, given the current market conditions, they should have informed me of the upcoming renewal, that I had in fact cancelled my subscription ahead of renewal date and that if they persisted with this they will not be paid any time soon.
I have asked to speak to someone in their management team, but instead I was threatened with our case being referred to a credit collection agency.
I think it is extremely underhanded to rely on the excuse of an autorenewal clause without the shadow of customer notice or any other comms. I understand everyone is fighting to survive, but this is not the way to do it.
I will not be paying this people and I will be happy to fight them in court.
It is a shame, my team enjoyed their platform and I would have signed up again once business goes back to normal. They have instead lost a customer and by the look of other reviews many more in addition to mine.
