I wholeheartedly recommend that you use Poetic Endings as your funeral director. From the initial conversation to follow up questions I had after the cremation, they were professional, sensitive and fully committed to ensuring the best possible ceremony for my partner.
I chose them because of their reviews as LGBTQI+ friendly. They are this and so much more besides. They are transparent about choices, costs and implications - this took the stress out of decision-making at a time when it feels impossible to make any decisions. They have strong relationships with crematoria and a wide range of celebrants which meant they could find the right place and person for the ceremony. Poetic Endings made the unthinkable task of planning my partner's funeral into an almost therapeutic process. Thank you!

I contacted Poetic Endings whom I had heard about and I was so glad I did. Louise was such an amazing listener and gently guided me through all the things I needed to do in what was an emotional time.
We opted to have our mothers wake at Linden House, which was an amazingly located venue, with great staff. I loved the room our mother was in, it was simply decorated and Louise and Clare prepared it beautifully, right down to the essential oils and background music my mother would have liked. Being with my mother and being able to lay personal items and flowers in the casket with her was such an incredible experience. In my 53 years and having been to a number of family funerals (my father, my grandparents) I have never experienced anything quite like this.
We ordered the leopard skin hearse for our mothers final ride to Kensal Green Crematorium and it was well worth it as we know our mum would have loved it.
We also used the printers Louise recommended for the Order of Service and they proved to be very good and patient with me as I kept adding more pictures and tweaking things here and there.

Poetic endings did a great job for both my husband and my mother. The funerals were totally bespoke as befitted them and our relationships with them. Everybody at Poetic Endings were kind and considerate and concerned that we should have as positive an experience as possible. I had been sceptical about the value of funerals but I am now convinced that they can be helpful if done sensitively which is what Louise and her team do.

Brilliant organisation. Pricing totally transparent, Went the extra mile from first meeting - immediately very reassuring. Looked after the person we all loved. Helped with the bureaucracy. Sourced perfect natural burial ground. Introduced celebrants. Sourced gorgeous flowers. Created a unique space to share last moments, installing a perfectly dressed yurt because there was no other structure. Fantastic attention to detail . Beautifully executed with maximum creativity, resourcefulness, sensitivity, kindness, empathy and compassion.

Poetic endings helped me arrange my fathers funeral which happened a few days ago. Louise and her team handled the whole process end-to-end, visiting my family, putting everyone at ease and ensuring that we got the exact funeral that we needed to say goodbye to my father. Louise made clear that we could have anything we needed and the millions of choices available to us: everything from a big traditional funeral to a completely alternative tiny ceremony in a family home. She and Anna listened to everything each family member needed and then put together a bespoke experience that enabled all of us to say the goodbye we needed to honor our own relationships to him. The funeral itself was devastating and beautiful - just immediate family and partners at a beautiful personal ceremony in an intimate setting. Louise and Anna were professional, warm, compassionate and supportive the entire time and made my family feel completely safe at a time when our world was falling apart.
