An absolutely excellent pork pie, the first time I’ve had a pork pie in last 20 yrs that an actually tasted like pork pies used to. It had a proper aspic jelly in which is delicious and I have so missed that in other pork pies and the pastry was amazing. Also there was plenty of pepper in the meat. Like when I was a kid. An excellent product and will definitely be buying again. .
The worst pork pie ive ever tasted
Meat had no true texture and honestly looked like dog food…pastry tasted of burnt cooking fat and nearly broke my teeth….SHOCKING !!!!
It is all about the product and that scores 10/10. However their contracted carrier DHL are totally rubbish so I thank D&M for their great customer service
Same as the review below, Pork pie awful texture no meat, spat out the bite I took, the pie was disgusting the dog wasnt even keen , But customer service was absolutely useless 4 times I contacted them took photos for them and then no response. Running a business in this manner they will not be around for long.
What on earth has happened to the filling in this pie. We always buy one at Christmas and love it BUT this year the filling texture was like peppery sawdust. Where is the meat? It had no body at all ! Have you added more breadcrumbs or something ? The recipe has definitely changed. Is it to cut down on costs? If so then please, please go back to the previous recipe. I don't want a pale imitation, I don't mind paying a bit more for your traditional version
I bought a Dickinson & Morris Melton Mowbray Pork pie from my local supermarket but when I opened the package it looked overcooked and burnt and tasted awful, the meat was ok, put it on the bird table, and to be honest, the birds did eat it all.
Customer service offered me a refund voucher, but I declined as I would not buy more of their pies or recommend their products.
This company is putting toxic Rapeseed oil in their pastry. Rapeseed oil has been shown to cause damage to the Mylene sheath which protects our nerves. So much for their original recipe. I shall be purchasing no more of their wares.
