This is a great company. We bought a refurbished Sony VCR for a family member who has a large collection of videos. The Sony was incredibly well packed and shipped quickly and safely. The VCR works very well due to Sony's solid construction and the excellent refurbishment. We are very pleased with this purchase.

The DVD recorder we purchased was great. It arrived packaged so well, it had so much bubble-wrap. It worked great. However, being a "newer" unit (Sony RDR-GX360 DVD Recorder - HDMI), it was affected by the Do Not Record signals sent out by several channels (FOX, ABC to name two), so it didn't suit our main purpose for it. The great news is that returning the unit was painless. Will buy from Porter Electronics again the next time we need a legacy electronic device.

I bought a refurbished Bose CD stereo. The webpage told me that my product would ship within five business days… It shipped within one! I had it in my hand by the fifth day. I was beyond pleased!
I purchased it because my Bose CD stopped working after 10+ years. I am very pleased to have this one in my possession so I can listen to my old CDs again

PS… I don’t remember how long ago I purchased this. But I think it’s been within the last three months. It is now October.

Was looking for an old school Bose countertop AM/FM radio.
Porter had what I was looking for, completely refurbished, and works perfectly. Can’t find these anymore. Was totally happy with the personal service and the product is great!

Fast delivery/ good prices/ this is my third unit one at each of my two homes that i use as an audio only recorder. I get 30 plus hours of audio on one DVD at SLP. Third unit i use to time shift. Actually this is my forth unit, one died after 11 years of almost daily use. All the same model Sony

Once received, it was hard to figure out what wires were needed to be compatible with the tv. After about three weeks and four different "eye sets", it was usable. Don't know that anything could have been done differently by Porter's as the model of the VCR and TV were just not easily compatible. Luckily, my son-in-law is still young enough to be "tech savvy." LOL
