Refunded camera they didn't give to the post office for 10 days, blamed me for "Not receiving anything" although no missed calls nor emails. I had to leave a review for anything to be done about it. The camera was refunded 4 minutes before they responded to my post. If you expect a fast delivery or response time Id go with some local camera shop. Although they aren't a scam, they aren't the most reliable.

I bought a camera from them on 9/2, its been 10 days and I haven't heard a word from them. I've called 4 times and left 2 voice messages and sent 3 emails. Complete radio silence. They listed my item as shipped and still haven't given it to the post office. I'd avoid buying from them. They don't seem to have very good if any customer service.

They were very helpful with my order unfortunately I ordered the wrong recorder and had to return it without being charged. my refund was back in my account almost immediately. Many thanks to their efficiency and honesty.

From ordering to ship date took a couple weeks. But once shipped item arrived in 2-3 days. I wasn’t in any rush so end result was good. Happy with my order. Thank you Porter Electronics. 👍

Very good experience. The item I bought had an issue when it got here and Porter replaced at their expense including shipping. Very good stand up people to deal with. I need an old style slide projector that I will be buying from them today. Good products at reasonable prices.

Porter Electronics advertised a refurbished DVD recorder for sale. The price was right but you never know, right? But, I have been nothing but pleased with the product they've sold to me. It works as advertised, and works very well. They've made it easy to recommend them!

I've had an HP11C calculator for over 35 years, and have been frustrated by the fact that the 9 button no longer works. So, I was thrilled to find that Porter had a refurbed one just like it. I am very pleased with my purchase. The calculator looks and feels brand new. If I'm lucky, it'll keep me going for another 35 years.

I had a question about my order and received an immediate email response from a member of the family. The pre-owned Bose Wave multi-CD music system was received in excellent working condition and sounds great. I was extremely satisfied with the total experience.

The Sony TC WE-475 cassette deck is my first purchase from Porter Electronics. Normally I am a bit leery of online purchases of electronics but after a little research (family run legitimate company with a history of reliability) and noting their unusually long guarantee of 90 days I figured it risk free. The recent resurgence in popularity of cassette decks has seen prices skyrocket. Especially if “refurbished”. On Ebay for example a top of the line Nagamichi can sell for thousands and a clean high end Sony or Onkyo can be $3-500. Most with no guarantee. This Sony cost me $260. The free shipping offer in effect at the time made the deal even sweeter.
The Sony arrived very well packaged. Wrapped in plastic and then bubble wrapped and wedged into padding and all in a heavy box. The unit face was as-new and all the fluorescent lighting is bright and fresh. Top had a few marks but hey, it’s over 40 years old! Dolby no longer license’s it’s B and C noise reduction so, with over 800 cassettes I’ve made of lp’s using Dolby, a new deck without it was out of the question. Porter Electronics gives each deck new belts, lubes where required and makes adjustments as needed. They then verfy everything works as designed. This double Sony deck has a lot features. Auto tape level, auto tape recognition (normal, high bias or metal) and really, too much to mention here.
I’ve had the unit a couple weeks now and put it through it’s paces. (Oh, and Porter Electronics supplies you with a downloadable users manual! Since manuals now run 5-15 bucks online that’s a good thing!) All features and both sides operate perfectly. I figure any problem would surface in either the 90 days or years down the road. Feel fortunate to have found Porter Electronics and to get not just a quality, refurbished deck but at a really great price and a generous warranty!

I ordered a canon sureshot telemax camera from this company on 3/31/2025. It is a gift for my girlfriend that must come before our trip on 4/12/2025. Porter Electronics did not reach out to me once after I placed the order.

I emailed them on 04/07/2025 to check on my order because I was concerned. I received an email saying that Paul was looking into it now. On noon the next day, I had not yet heard back from Paul so I emailed again to find out that they do not actually have the camera in stock to this day.

Why did they not reach out to me as soon as I made the order if the camera they thought they could send turned out to be broken?

Why does it still say the camera is in stock on their website?

This is very suspicious. Are they drop shipping these products?

We recently ordered a Sony DVD Recorder. We were having problems getting it set up. Paul at Porter Electronics was so gracious and walked us through the process. It is a great recorder and company service is outstanding.

I bought from Chile a very old and specific model bulb for a projector that no longer exists in my country. It arrived on the indicated date and in good condition.
